The Taxi Challenge!

The Taxi Challenge is to see who knows the San Andreas Map best. To take the challenge, You need to go to the options and disable your radar and blips. Then, Get a Taxi or Cabbie and go to Grove Street (Los Santos), the Doherty Garage (San Fierro) or the Four Dragons Casino (Las Venturas) and begin the Taxi Driver missions. The winner is decided by whoever can do 50 fares in each city. Video recording is required. Do not cheat by editing out parts where you paused and checked the map.

I managed 25 fares. I got to 25 fares and totaled the Cab forcing me to quit. I got the Burger Shot several times which meant going to both locations. Often times it was the other Burger Shot.

 

I hope to see this catch on and become a popular thing.

That's some nice cruising if you know your way around the Map. TBH, Los Santos is the only city I'm familiar with in terms of Map. San Fierro would be the next. I wish I had enough time to try this. But hey, I would like to see your video though. Reduce it to 360p or 480p and upload it to YouTube.

Cool challenge. But with the time you had left, you probably could of easily finished the 50 fares if you weren't so reckless with the driving near the end. Whenever I do the taxi missions I prefer using the cabbie. In my experience it just seems more durable then the taxi, where as the taxi seems slightly faster, but when you go faster you're more likely to damage the taxi, so I think the cabbie fits the purpose of the mission better to be careful with driving and minimise damage.

I'll hold my hands up now and say that I'm terrible with taxi missions. I'm going for 100% again and I actually did the 50 fares in one go last night, but that wasn't without a handful of visits to the Pay N' Spray. I know the geography of the map very well, but certain landmarks have me scratching my head because they simply aren't mentioned aside from being taxi fares. Mama's Cinema was a prime example - I never remember where that one is and apparently everybody wanted to go!

 

Good challenge though. I'm not going to show my arse by recording my attempt because I'm terrible.

I was like that when I first played San Andreas, but now I wouldn't accept getting through taxi missions with a Pay N' Spray visit. To get through 50 fares without respraying, it's a good test of your driving skills. After 10-15 fares, you'll never run out of time, so you don't need to rush the fares and with more patience and care, it is fairly easy to get through 50 fares without respraying. I can understand that everyone hates taxi missions so they want to get through it as quick as possible, going faster and racking up the damage, but it's a nice challenge in itself if you haven't done it before - to try and get through 50 fares without respraying. And like I said in my above post, I find the cabbie has more durability to last the 50 fares without respraying.

I said something like this, and my Post was removed...You know, talking about Pay and Spray and Mission Attempt, needing to do all 50 in a row, lol...

 

I also find the Cabbie much more durable, too. I tried with the Taxi, only for it to ask me to go get it resprayed on Fare 49...Talk about a waste of time...

This is why I don't think I'm going to try this. I really want to, but I know I'll have to keep checking the map.

Itt seems to me that the Taxi Patrons are repetitive. After a couple of times through a person should begin to pick up where the rider will be.
