I would forget about ENBSeries tbh. Use the PS2 Reflections and use something like ReShade, with MasterEffects. Much more friendly environment.

 

What would be good, would be a custom timecyc for each city :^: Dunno how one would implement that .. CityX using timecycX.dat and CityY using timecycY.dat maybe.

Great progress so far, keep it up :^:

Custom timecyc for each city huh, would sound pretty interesting. Will be looking it up after I'm done with organizing the mod files (IMG files like game_vc, game_lc, game_sa, game_lv, game_ls, game_sf and so on) and sorting the IMG against IDE files.

Another tip, why don't you use Manhunt levels too? There are level converters out there.

I'd cool your adopting the SOL layout, your going to find it a lot easier to manage files and ultimately find problems.

 

I have a tool in the works to aid better with ID issues..

I don't need these anymore. I have some ideas: I'll send them to you in PM.

Anyways, X-Seti will add sub-forums to the GTA:SOL boards. Everything will become much better. I'd say, I'd support this idea as it allows us to keep everything more organized.

Stories version will be an alpha-like release. A base release. It's a release that has alot of issues, but it's best to convert the maps and fix the misplaced mapping objects, then we can fix the collision issues and the missing generic objects.

So don't expect too much of that release yet.

It's not supposed to release in this week. Still there are things that have to be added.

Welcome to the ideas thread. Please note that this is NOT the place for posting ideas. Use the WISHLIST thread instead if you want things to be added.This topic is a place for me to share my ideas, and I'd like your opinion on them. I might add a poll to see what's more important.


Note: These ideas are not being added to the game. Some ideas are, but not all.


Ideas:


 


pedcolor.dat from VCS, all peds can have different clothes. More realism into the mod. This will count for gang members too.


VC, III, VCS, and LCS vehicles added to SA. The most common vehicles will be III and LCS vehicles. SA ones will be less common, but planes won't. VC ones are extremely rare, finding a VC Deluxo is like finding 3 SA Turismo's driving behind eachother when not using a Sports vehicle or spawning them in (using a sports vehicle increases the sports vehicle spawn rate)


More tuning abilities, attachable guns to cars. You could attach a gun to a car, but this will slow the vehicle down dramatically. Trucks can have an extra seat on the back possibly.


Random events like in GTAV. You can find drug deals to intercept, random attacking dogs, and so much more. There's a rarity to this aswell, you can possibly even find heists.


Weapon customisation. You may add a suppressor to your gun, or better mags, and more.


weaponcolor.dat, custom paintjobs for weapons. These can be changed at Ammu-Nation.


Empire building options for gangs, ability to set up a HQ and customize it with a ton of options, plan heists, set your patrolling vehicle, customized gangs, helicopter landing pads, and so much more.


Empire building also includes the ability to set out drug deals, body guard protection, and possibly even many more like takedowns, gang turf takeover, and more. Organized crime with a ton of more options to do. There can be alot of options on vehicles too. This will include tuning options, and you can even make your gang wear body armour. And arm them with miniguns, have them following you, have them do heists, and get you money. Also, there will be a bunch of side missions allowing you to get access to special weapons, that aren't accessable from Ammu-Nation. There will be alot of cool rewards for them.)


Pets, ability to have dogs, cats, and much other things. And some custom pet shops could be nice.


3 Characters, CJ, Tommy's son, and Claude. These 3 would require custom gang voices, and more. They can have special traits that can be trained on, full SA stats with some adjustments, and more.


Freedom of the open world. You make your missions. Lots of choices in the missions, leading to a completely different storyline.


Ability to go on the Internet, phones, and more gadgets like TV, reading newspapers, and car dealers selling cars. These things are a part of the modern age. Internet will have cool HD era-like websites, and stock markets, TV can be including Weazel News could show like Heists you preformed, with witness footage from people starting to film during a heist. That will cause alot of attention on the news, and cops will be more alerted when they see you. Car dealers like Grotti could sell cars, they'll be locked, so you can't steal them. They will have a price tag on them anyway.


Ability to set up a shop. This could be influencing the Empire Building stuff. The shop can have your gang members guarding it, you can set people to work and create a big shop.


Custom SA features, tuning shops, tattoo parlors, and gangs, mafia, and other stuff around the entire map. There will be a reputation tag, if the player is attacking the gang, they'll respond more violently next time. They may attack businesses you set up, kill you on sight, send other gangs being allied on you aswell.


Gang relationships. This can be altered by the player, in a way. You can have a good relationship with a gang, or a bad one. they'll have a bad reputation tag. Good one, they will protect you and will send you free weapons, and fight against gangs that have a bad reputation. You can help Cubans fight the Haitians, and it'll increase the gang's reputation tag. This can have influence on everything.


3 characters, leading their own lifes. CJ will be around in SA for Grove Street, Claude and Tommy's Son are positioned mostly on the eastcoast, building an empire. CJ will be the third character, and there will be a very good relationship between Grove and the empire. Ballas gangs will have gang turfs around, in Vinewood.


Empire building HQ stuff: You can buy a HQ for your Empire. You can make it big, like on a construction lot. It will have all kinds of stuff, you can set up heists, and manage gang stuff. You can set the gangs outfit, weapons, customisation, and more. These factors will play a role in gang fights. The player recieves a notification on his cellphone once there are events in the gang. Choosing a Trashmaster as a vehicle will lead to your gang failing, and loosing your chances of making money.


Cellphone customisation. Ringtones, e-mail variants, even customise names for characters and so on. Customization is endless.


Underground Online! Have the Empire Building features, everything in Single Player but then, we'd have everything against players. They can pick a list of a 10 pages of haircuts, and much more customisation options to make it feel like you're in charge. It's supposed to be a kingpin-like game. You can have DM events, scripted, you can have RP modes, and much much more.

Nice ideas. As I told you in Skype and PM, I'd use III LC and 1st VC map as a base, then retexture both maps with LCS and VCS textures and add an Upstate Liberty map (doesn't need to be the size of LC or something). More ideas anyone? And what do you think of these?

How are you going about having the Stories (LCS/VCS) maps, and non Stories maps (III/VC) together? Or are you hybridising them together?

We will have two different versions of the maps. Stories version has the LCS and VCS maps added to SA. The non-stories map will have the game time set to 2010, improved non-stories maps, and more. Stories map is just a blank release.

 

EDIT:

 

VC is working perfectly with SA! With the water.dat maps from OpenVice and SA, it's time to focus on the other issues, like LC. The VC progress is now 70%.

Thanks for the reply. As my suggestion on how it could work out, please see how Area Livery Mod works. It's a script mod for IV, however I think a similar principle could work in SA. :)

I am already looking into airport travelling. It's not hard to make such things, infact, there might be a simple airport script added right away. Also, there's a different problem on my mind: Having all of the SA shops/features to work without any missions. We badly need a scripter for this project.
