The layout will be added to the main post later. Liberty City is currently being fixed by X-Seti, once that's finished, I'll work on generic objects accross the map. After this, LODs will be re-added.

Then a BETA release will be released.

I will use this release as a base for the remodelling I'm planning to do.

Maybe I will allow redistribution of the BETA base, not sure.

That's why I've changed the topic name.

EDIT: LCS Progress so far, there are some big issues with the LCS map. The game didnt render it out, its just transparent, just collision. The map is completely LODless btw, however, no normal models seem to be loaded.

What does that mean? You are using SA engine, rght?

However, the stuff on the pics looks not bad, even with some bugs, that also can being seen.

It means the current progress on the maps. SA is set to 70% because there are still some things that have to be changed.

Besides maps what will this contain? I think that there should be a version with just bare maps just to test

I was thinking of that accually. I need to fix the rendering issues the engine has, because the SA engine refuses to load LC.

Why is car and CJ blacked out? I think game thinks that anything behind original map bounds is "haunted" zone where noone should be, till now

To me it looks darker, like when you're in stealth mode.

But this looks amazing and I think that I've never been excited for a mod ever since when first SOL for SA was announced

I will be releasing a beta version very soon. Once I fix the LCS map, you can expect the first release.

Btw, are you going to connect the SA cities with LC and SA? You can make some kind of a Interstate highway. :)

I am planning of doing an interstate yes. I don't know how yet, but I will.

You could either edit the LS-LV highway, to have a road that goes to LC and VC, or, make a new Interstate.

I remember OdiePL made an interstate III mod, back in the early days of III modding. You can take inspiration from that one. (Or even probably use assets from it, while editing some stuff, to make it go to the desired area).

Using Odie's mods is considered stealing without the proper permission. Never heard of him, but I'll have to look into that. If these mods allow redistribution, please let me know.

He is not around anymore...for...around 10 years..I have heard that he passed away.. :(

According to X-Seti he allowed redistribution as long as you give him credit.

This sounds interesting. I wonder what changes you will make to SA to make it like it may of looked like if there was a San Andreas Stories.

Is there any chance that there could be a version which is an add on for the original SA, and has these following characteristics?

-Original SA map.

-LCS map.

-Original VC map with Xbox Textures.

-Cities are far enough apart where you can't see them from each other.

-Original SA saves work.

-Possibly have the LCS map modified to have snow textures and snow drifts from the GTA III Snow City mod

 

The reason why I'd want something like this is that each map would be closer to what they might of looked like in 1992, during SA's story.

I think that this will look even better with PS2 reflections and processing. It would really look like San Andreas Stories exclusive for PS2 and PSP, as if it was released someday

There will be a version with

Origional maps

Cities are far enough apart

Origional SA saves MIGHT work

I will release a first update that allows modders to use it, as long as they give me credit and notify me.

LC is at 8000 8000, SA border being at 3000 3000.

Ive checked it, you cannot see LCS from SA.

I would forget about ENBSeries tbh. Use the PS2 Reflections and use something like ReShade, with MasterEffects. Much more friendly environment.

 

What would be good, would be a custom timecyc for each city :^: Dunno how one would implement that .. CityX using timecycX.dat and CityY using timecycY.dat maybe.

Custom timecyc for each city huh, would sound pretty interesting. Will be looking it up after I'm done with organizing the mod files (IMG files like game_vc, game_lc, game_sa, game_lv, game_ls, game_sf and so on) and sorting the IMG against IDE files.

Another tip, why don't you use Manhunt levels too? There are level converters out there.

I have some "Meat & Potato" Ideas... like for deeper into development... mainly business/location Ideas and general ideas associated to that kind of thing...

 

but as for the three cities... I would just keep them as fly to locations for now... instead of doing a landmass between them... would keep things simple until everything else gets done... also, I will be pming you "something" you might enjoy ;)
