I spend my cash wisely but i don't deny me of anything, i won't ever use phantom org because that's for newbs and also really annoys me.

I will research and buy properties (including money-making business/storage properties) upon release, but I won't renovate or make changes to them without a sale (unless a glitch like the office/character-swap or armor/shooting-range) glitch.

 

I will spend minutes or hours stockpiling rare-spawns, and filling unused garage space with them, instead of doing a VIP mission because I always want to have a non-cash, non-effort money reserve.

 

I have caused a freeroam fight between two players (by shooting at both of them to make them think they were shooting at each other) then ran around in Passive picking up the $500's they dropped upon death.

 

In the early days on Online, when I was dirt poor and only had a free 2-car garage (collector's edition perk) I would join Survivals with "Rambo-type" players and let them kill the NPCs and then I'd run around between waves to get ammunition (and, occasionally, guns I was locked out from owning at that rank). If they died or got low on health I would contribute, too.

 

To this day, throwables, hand-launched explosives, and researched ammunition is for last resort only because of the cost.

I only Ghost Org when exporting a full 3-4 car collection, just to get some safe ground out of the city/danger zone. Unless nobody's around the area we're going to. I'd rather pay 18 k than lose 50-100 k

 

I never request a helicopter from my assistant except for the Swift Deluxe, cause it's the same price as Pegasus and can get me out of there if people are outside Maze Bank Tower.

 

I never pay for snacks, unless I'm desperately low and don't want to lose out on a Heist invite flying back to my tower from Sandy Shores. A few bucks is worth losing over a possible take in a finale.

I don't use Los Santos Customs to repair my vehicles. I usually drive them into my garages, change sessions or start contact missions. Also when starting sightseer as a VIP I request a free Buzzard to use.

I ain't no George Costanza, but I admit, I have my moments. You see, I come from a time it used to cost $50,000 to save your GTA progress (#HallelujahAnotherSoulSaved), money wasn't that easy to come by & every penny helped... What can I say? Old habits die hard.

 

- I only restock my snacks from my office & use body armor in heists only.

- I restock my Carbine (my weapon of choice) & RPG from Survivals.

- I only upgrade the visuals when I buy a car & do the mechanical upgrades once its on sale lol.

- When I buy a business property, I leave the nonessentials until they are on sale.

- I only buy Pegasus vehicles when they are on sale ... Learned that lesson long time ago.

I wouldn't say stingy, frugal yes, stingy no.

 

I've got way more fake digital money than I'll ever need. That said, I don't go out and buy hyper or supercars I have no interest in. I only really bought the bunkers on each character for the car wash dupe glitch which paid some handsome dividends.

 

R* counts on many of us going out and buying everything. I don't do that. I buy what interests me. Sadly, not many purchases happen these days. As the game as a whole pretty much has lost my interest.

 

Although it is fun when the gang gets back together for a dupe-fest.

Me either.. but I usually take a random car from a npc, drive down the street, then request my pv. Lol those repair costs are ridiculous on some vehicles.

 

Besides not paying for vehicle repairs...

 

I only get snacks from the office.

 

I don't have the armor or brake upgrades on any of my vehicles.

 

I don't use body armor or snacks in freeroam.. only in survival, missions, heists, etc.

 

I haven't renamed my yacht and I don't wanna move it because it usually spawns out by the pier.. sometimes at the end of a session I blast off the pier in my voltic and try to land on it.

 

I won't buy a buzzard or cargobob because they spawn for free around the map whenever I need one.. which is almost never.

 

I won't upgrade the smg or ak to the mk2 version because I don't use them. Like most of the research stuff.

If the "short-term maths" goes negative, for instance a $20k insurance charge to claim a $9k bounty or win $6k in an Event, I'll be a bit annoyed. But generally I'll remember that I'm f*cking loaded and R* can kiss my ass.

 

I did have to stop myself from going halfway across the map for free snacks all the time though, especially as I can rob a couple grand from the shop.

Instead of buying armour I usually buy snacks. Have you seen how much money that saves percentage wise?

 

And when im in between VIP cooldowns I drive to a sprunk machine nearby to buy a can saving me some snacks.

You know those I/E source missions that end up with a police chase? There's a little message that pops up telling you about the "bribe authorities" ability. It doesn't mention Lester.

Literally anything CEO/VIP related. "Hey, did you know you can spend 15K to ditch the cops? No, no, ignore the $500 method. Hissss."

Ride? Stolen Oracle XS, BLACKED OUT, Son.

 

I rob convenient stores and stick up vagos in the alley for cash to blow on micro-smg ammo and tittays at the strip club. Screw all that fancy stuff.
