Algonquin Assassin
For me Trevor's arms trafficking is the best. However I wish there was a side mission based on the meth dealing side of TPE. Full Breaking Bad. In regards to activities golf's really well done like it could be its own game. What about you guys? KonradGM
Golf is extremely well done in this game. Street races are also really great thing to have in the game, gives me reason to play around with new cars and roleplay having an "illegal" car for street races Gun trafficking as trevor is great, although i wish you could do drug dealing with him since he is a drug dealer in the end but you actually never deal drugs with him x) Algonquin Assassin
Emmi
Golf and Tennis are both really well done side-activities. I enjoy these a lot. Also the addition of random events all over San Andreas is really something that every upcoming GTA should implement now ... it really makes the world more alive and there really is 'something' to do and discover all the time ... even if the events repeat from time to time. The property missions are also nice. I enjoy Hunting a lot also ... just got into it recently. gunziness
Weapons trafficking missions, golf and tennis definitely. On a sidenote: is the tourbus a one time only activity? Or it can be taken as many times as i want? Also, since i barely did any of the random activities, when you do all of them, will they repeat randomly after? SabreGT
Arms Trafficking Ground, as I love how it's like Smuggler's Run, so I always listen to this whilst doing it. Cutter De Blanc
You can do the tour bus more than once, getting the event to spawn at all is the difficulty. Was one of the random events I used to get 100% and I noticed it still spawned the other day (me being me I killed the driver and gave everyone a tour of the pacific ocean). I like Tennis. Is it even possible to beat Franklin? I can wipe the floor against everybody else, but Franklin ghetto stomps me every time. His AI always knows where the ball is going to be, you literally have to outmaneuver him to even score one point Edited August 20, 2017 by Cutter De Blanc Algonquin Assassin and gunziness
ChiroVette
The truth is that I love the side quests in this game. They are incredibly well thought out and implemented. Like others in this thread, I really enjoy the Random Events. The races are a lot of fun (and not just Franklin's, but the ones out in the desert, the off road ones). I actually really like doing the collectibles, too, when I play through a 100% campaign because the scenery is so enjoyable. Nobody mentioned the Base Jumping yet, and those are some really fun ones, with some gorgeous scenery. I enjoy the hell out of Trevor's gun running missions, and totally agree with SabreGT that they are very reminiscent of both the two original Smuggler's Run games, which I really loved for their time. I also like some of the newer side missions, like races and such, in the Returning Player Bonus and next gen console versions. I think the Sea Shark races are fun as hell, very reminiscent of Saints Row 2's jet ski races. I also LOVE the Bail Bond missions, more for the wacky dialog and story, even if the missions are a tad blah in terms of action. Still on a new save I always look forward to them. Surprised nobody mentioned the Rampages! Hahahahah those are just stupid fun!! I may be in the minority in the forum, but I actually really enjoy both the Stunt Plane Time Trials as well as the Flight School. They are easy and a really nice way to enjoy the scenery with checkpoints and such. One thing that I am actually very surprised that I enjoy as much as I do is the hunting. It is actually really enjoyable, once I get myself into a mindset to avoid hostile animals attacking. Although, I am absolutely NOT a fan of the yoga, Golf, or Tennis, and I find them mind-numbingly tedious, I think the game is better for having them in there as an option to play as side missions. I will say, on a side note (lol no pun intended) that after a bunch of playthroughs of this game, I have to grudgingly agree with the people who complain that the storyline forces you to play a full out Yoga session to advance. Again, I think the game is better having these activities I don't like, because GTA should be all about choice and letting people find their own fun. But if they really wanted players to be forced into Yoga, they could have added a very abbreviated version to that mission. The Tour Bus is another one I find incredibly boring, BUT have to admit it adds to the game and the game is better for having the option to do it. Algonquin Assassin
The thing about yoga whilst it indeed isn't the most exciting activity (then again I don't think that's really the point of yoga) it does fit in well with Michael's mid life crisis and his lifestyle in general. I admit I've done it before outside of the mission and it's actually quite relaxing.
Tycek
Trevor's arms trafficking is definitely my most favourite side activity in GTA V. To be honest in the second playthrough I decided to select ending C solely for two reasons - additional garage spaces the arms trafficking. Apart from that I like Taxi driving, but it's not very fresh in comparison to the previous games. I don't care that much for either yoga or golf. I had literally only one such fare during my two playthroughs. If I recall correctly the manager called once, during first game, allowing me to unlock the achievement, but I've never had the chance to receive the assignment again. It was the one regarding the Lost MC if someone's wondering. I was always wondering why there is no option to trigger the bussiness mission by yourself instead of waiting for the game to run its buggy scripts. Would it hurt someone if we could call for the job? I don't play GTA so I can hit golf balls and try and get under par, or have a tennis match. But that doesn't mean I don't see the point of having them in the game. I don't think games should be tailored to my tastes. Tennis, Yoga, the tour bus, and Golf activities are mostly innocuous, and its nice to know in the back of my mind that they are there. If I had my druthers, though, I would have liked to see the career mission, Did Somebody Say Yoga, be an abbreviated version of the activity, but that is just a minor niggle, nothing that I care all that much about. Yeah. I'm all l up for having as many options as possible. Personally I enjoy that the mini-games help balance out the typical in game chaos of a GTA game. I mean they're not always what I'd spend hours doing, but it's nice to take a break having a round of golf, playing tennis etc.

combustion
Stock Car Racing, before it mysteriously disappeared. Regular races are not that bad either, but more of them would be nice. Arms Trafficking Air, tennis and triathlons are some of the great non-racing side activities. Triathlons could be improved if we could do it with other storyline characters; like Jimmy and Michael competing each other, or Trevor bumping into Devin during a race in the middle of the story, Some of the parachuting jumps were interesting, but most were just meh. Not necessarily a side mission/activity, but taking photos with Snapmatic is a great way to enjoy the eye candy visuals. ChiroVette
triathlons are some of the great non-racing side activities. Triathlons could be improved I really like the first two Triathalons. They are fun and entertaining. But that third one that starts in the North part of the map and goes on and on, winding through Southern Los Santos, is a nightmare! Every time I do a playthrough, I dread that race, because it is just a nonstop assault on my fingers for...what is it, a half hour in real time of mashing the sprint button? Whatever dev thought that it would be a good idea to have players mash the same sprint button endlessly without a break should be shot. Yinepi
Stock trading, if that counts. It's an activity that doesn't end and has seemingly random outcomes.

Tonesta
Personally, love almost all of the side activities. Trevor's gun running in particular is high octane fun. At the other end of the scale, I find the tennis, golf and particularly the basejumping a calming break from the chaos of Los Santos.....some of the views in the latter are stunning. I've even been known to stop for some yoga - but only after cycling up Mount Gordo....ideally at dusk. My only criticism - rubber banding. It doesn't completely ruin the races, but does ramp up the annoyance level. Seriously, if I mess up and crash in a race, it should be extremely difficult for me to get back into it; and if I drive perfectly, I should be miles ahead by the finish. The rubber banding basically means that only the last part of the race really matters.....the AI will have ensured that everyone is roughly together going into the final half-lap or so. If I could turn the rubber banding off, I would love this activity the most (as an aside, it's the only part of GTA Online that I found myself really enjoying)
