GTA Online Barely Playable

Everytime I play GTA Online on PC, I can't do or see anything. When I go to the door to leave my apartment, the options to leave aren't there and I can't get out. Same thing for a lot of things like drinking or going on a computer. I press the middle mouse button and it takes forever for the phone to actually pop up. When I try to use the in-game browser, almost every time I click on a website it results in an error. My hud sometimes doesn't load, and it takes forever for me to walk in my garage or Los Santos Customs.

 

Anyone know a fix for this, or a way that I can fix it?

Go into the Interactive Menu and change your spawn location to Random and then switch lobbies and see what it does

That was with re-verifying your game with the command line extension right?

When the game starts, does it say that the build number is 1103.1 (this is in the bottom-right of the screen as the game's just loading up)?

 

Try this:

Go to C:\Users\<YOUR NAME>\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA V and any files here - just leave the folders and the 'silentlauncher' file there and see if that does anything. It mightn't do a damn thing, so next try 'resetting' your profile data (doesn't affect online characters).

 

To do that, go to C:\Users\<YOUR NAME>\Documents\Rockstar Games\Social Club\Profiles and make a copy of the folder(s) in here. If you only use one SCID (Social Club ID), then there will only be one folder in here which is named with numbers and capital letters. Once you've made that backup, delete this folder and contents.

Now browse to C:\Users\<YOUR NAME>\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles and do the same thing - make a backup of the folder in there and then delete it.

 

Do note, after deleting your profile data, you'll have to complete the prologue and setup some things in-game again, but everything pertaining to your GTA Online character(s) will be fine, as that's stored on the Rockstar cloud servers.

 

There is a workaround to completing the prologue again... inside the GTA V\Profiles\<PROFILE NAME> folder, there should be several files that are over 500KB in size that start with the name "PGTA" or "SGTA" - these are your GTA V (single player) savegames/ autosaves. When the game loads, it will automatically generate the profile folder if it isn't already on the system, so all you need to do is copy those PGTA... and SGTA... files into that directory before the story mode launches. You'd have to ALT+TAB to do that of course, if the game's window was on top.
