If you enter a single delivery vehicle - all of them become vulnerable at once.

I don't think rockstar needs to try. Think about it. We already have a system where you cannot start missions, even the i/e and gunrunning contact missions can't be started in private sessions.

Then we have some CEO missions; piracy prevention, executive search that cannot start unless "non allied" players" are in lobby

Ok, tell me, HOW do I defend myself in a (just an example) a Dodo from a Hydra? And no, "git gud" is not an answer.

 

Follow my tips.

 

Basically, you need to prepare yourself for the attack (or better to attack first). Be proactive.

- If the jet is too close already, don't runaway, go straight at him. Chances are he's a noob and won't use cannon. It's much easier to evade homing missles by going straight at the opponent. However, if you try to fly away - you become an easy target. Contol the distance and try to maintain the speed.

 

- Please note that all the MC delivery vehicles are buffed. They can survive several homing missles (yes, that includes buzzard and dodo). So.. you may be able to take down a jet and survive the kamikadze attack. I've done it

, so it should work with a buffed Dodo too.

 

Checking the map includes:

- Checking actual jets and Oppressors

- Checking Pegasus spots

- Checking players coming your way

This is mostly bad advice man, sorry:

 

- Ghost Organization and Off the Radar is a thing, and even though you can see which players are using the feature, you can't hide your product.

 

-The airplanes aren't truly invincible even before entering them, though they are buffed a bit, and I haven't checked this until but I think you can ram them to the water, no?

 

-Attacking a jet unprecedented and then moving on to the product? You just became a high priority target for the jet grief, who can easily call for another jet and go after you.

 

-The Dodo is a piece sh*t, landing it and stepping out of it in time to counter a jet gives it enough time to reach you, and probably dive bomb you(if a jet is dive bombing, there is NOTHING you can do to stop it)

 

-Bullsh*t on the jet griefer who doesn't know about the cannons, the majority of players I see in jets are using the cannons for everything, even dogfighting.

 

Kamikazing them is something I can agree with, but you will only damage your plane and have to finish the delivery in time with a crippled plane(it can be done though, I managed to deliver CEO crates with a Cuban 800 without an working wing, it has very hard to maintain altitude but that thing held itself together and surprised me), if you are a good pilot, you might be able to complete the sale.

I have been accused of not caring about this. Don't get me wrong, it sucks, and it sucks that R* are possibly this pushy about how they want their game played. That being said, it is their game and their rules we are kinda the ones trying to bend and play outside the way the game "is supposed to be played". The money isn't supposed to be EASY to get lol, and I think a lot of us forget that...

 

That being said, if they are trying to enforce this, as I have said before it will just make them look bad and push people to dupe, cheat and mod money. Probably best to just leave it be really. There are more players now than there have ever been, it's raking in the dough, and it's pretty obvious that solo public sessions aren't hindering this. Everybody here has had pretty valid points on both sides (except for big polio or w/e his name is), all we can do is wait for the next update and hope that the devs are still fairly incompetent.

I am basically solo and during day run a lot of PP, jobs off playlists, until late evening when optimal sessions can be found with crew/ friends. Around midnite central time they leave and I may find myself alone but fatigue creeps in...

 

With AE doubled have switched to char 2 who does not have GR and that 9400 GR fixed cost. On char 1 finally bought the oppressor against my gut feel on spending that much on a bike. Not real happy with that decision. Time will tell.

People talk too much and rarely bring any numbers. That's why it's important to question things.

Are you for real? You're honestly asking players to go into public lobbies, attempt to sell product, and then tabulate in Excel how often griefers and scriptkiddies blow them up?

 

Nobody is going to waste that much time and effort to attempt proving the obvious to you. You've clearly already made up your mind that you don't see the problem.
