Help with first supercar purchase

Saving up some money so I can buy a buzzard and my first supercar. What does everyone suggest? I was looking for something all around (Races, Free Roam) but not setting me back 3 mil. Love to hear everyone's thoughts.

Vagner is the budget all-rounder super with a 1.535m price tag.

The Nero Custom, with a heftier price tag of 2.045 million, is the best all-rounder in the Super class right now.

If you're really, really short on cash, you can grab the Zentorno at a mere 725k. It's good and even has a bulletproof back for your combat needs, but falls short in the top speed department.

Do note that the listed prices are for the car itself. Expect to pay ~160k more for modifications.

Zentorno. It's cheap, good all around performance, and high enough top speed for stunt racing. Turismo R is another good budget choice but it's a little too slow for stunting, and the suspension is kind of a bitch in free roam. The zen is also bulletproof from the rear. Paint it black so u can't see the awful bodywork.

If you wanted something around a million dollar price tag i would recommend the tempesta or even the zentorno but if you're willing to spend more you can always bet on T20 or Nero custom

But for me i will always go for the T20 it just feels great for me, not too fast not too stiff it's an average yet powerful car in the hands of a skillful driver, hope that helps..

Not sure about the pricetags, but Osiris, T20 and Tempesta could work.

I would say NERO ( custom ) , it s the most homogeneous supercar of them all , in Races , free roam , look and costs too ( 1,4 mil . , +600k for the custom)

Wait why the Nero custom?

I second the zentorno. It can be a daily, has great protection and is very afforfable.

My first vote is Nero Custom. One with the Sprunk livery is my go-to car.

Something like the Zentorno can be fun in free roam. That car doesn't have a back window, which makes it bullet proof from the rear. Get good at backing up while shooting and you'll have fun with it in missions.

He(assuming gender) asked which would be best for racing and general freeroaming.

Personally, I would go with the X80 but that's because it's not a pick-up and go vehicle. You have to really know how to drive it to get the most of it. It's not really a car for beginners. Where the Nero Custom more or less is.

Wait why the Nero custom?

With balanced track performance and excellent top speed, it performs well in just about any racing situation, the only exception being dumb pure-straight line races where you need an 811 instead.

The X80 Proto also qualifies, but it's much harder to drive and has the highest price tag of all supercars that the OP clearly does not want.

Personally, I cycle between Nero Custom, X80 Proto and Vagner according to my mood of the day when I race, but tend to land on the Nero Custom more often than not.

I don't think that you should upgrade the Nero to custom.

As already covered by broughty, it doesn't add much in terms of performance, and you will lose the active spoiler, which I think is amazing. It also kinda ruins the "luxury hyper car feel" adding all of those Racing mods

IMO it should be the Nero, Tempesta or even the Vagner.

If you have more to spend and are a good driver, go with x80.

He/she dosen't wanna spend the 3 million you'd spend on a X80 after mods..

It's really between the Vagner and Nero (Custom)..maybe the T-20 or XA-21 if you're willing to cross the 2 million dollar mark.

If money is an actual issue at the moment, get a Zentorno and max it out radically and have fun with it! If you can't win races in a Zentorno you can't win in anything. It's a competent enough Super that skill is the only limiting factor. I think my X80 is quicker in my hands but it cost a lot of money. I like my Tempesta but in racint I do just as well with the Zentorno. That car loves tubes btw. Very under rated stunt racer.

edit: My first Super was a Turismo R that I still own and love to drive. AWESOME sound and free roam handling. My personal favorite four wheeled vehicle for fast driving from one end of LS to the other.

I own a Vagner but I haven't raced it yet. But I've lost to a bunch of them. I think they're fast. My first free roam opinion on my new Ocelot is OMG I really really <3 it.

My actual second favorite stunt racer. And quite a hoot in free roam.

Zentorno - an absolute bargain at 725,000

Still competitive against the newer supercars, still rating highly on Broughy's fastest lap times series.

A beast of a car that lends itself to being thrown around the track, a lot of fun to drive too. Buy it & you won't regret it.

A lot of people have recommended the tempesta, but I will caution you against it. The top speed is terrible, meaning it's not going to cut it in most stunt races against vaguely competent drivers. Great street racer and free roamer, but I've never seen one win a stunt race. Ever.

Nero custom is the best 1-car solution but it isn't cheap, and while not a deal breaker, the custom gives u a 1mph advantage over the standard Nero, which gets significant in stunt races. Also, it's normal spoiler gives u a traction bonus at low speeds that the fancy active spoiler does not.

The active spoiler on the standard Nero does receive a traction bonus. I too would recommend the Nero Custom though, it's decent looking and a stunning all round car.

^ only at high speeds when it actually deploys. The fixed spoiler gives u the bonus all the time.

Zentorno.

No, it's not the fastest. But don't be a chump and think you need the fastest car to win. The Zen is CHEAP! It's fast, accelerates quickly, and it's all wheel drive. The AWD is awesome for tube sections in stunt races. I routinely destroy the 2mil cars with it.

Also, the Zentorno doesn't rely on the downforce gimmick for speed. It's just fast because it's fast. You'll never have to worry about R* nerfing it so that you buy the next 2mil car that comes out.

The Zentorno got a bad rap back in the day because the rear is bulletproof, and people would attack you with it while driving in reverse while shooting you, making it nearly impossible to defend yourself. The players who did that moved on to the Armored Kuruma, then to the Oppressor.

Don't buy an XA21. Or T20. Or x80. Literally everyone has those. When in a race I might see one other Zentorno.

Also, where it's your first supercar purchase it's better to go entry level. Why dump three times more on one of the newer ones, then find out you really don't like racing?

At some point down the road I'll have an Itali GTB Custom, but only for the customization options. But that's like 1.8 million invested before any performance upgrades. For the price you can go get an MC and a coke lockup and then run bar and a half sales solo.

this is an unpopular one but the Sultan RS is pretty fun. it's the only supercar that ive held onto and it's pretty good? there's a lot of customization for it and it's p decent in stunt races

It's unpopular because it's painfully slow compared to other supers. 23rd fastest in Broughy's video from Feb, and there are several new cars that push it down even further.

Zentorno fits what you need. There are many other better cars now, but its the best bang for the buck for sure from the Supers class.

If you save up though, I can give you some advice-

XA21- Sounds and looks better than all the others (subjective), best for normal street racing, tight corner car. Lots of customization.

T20- Good all around, lower top speed

Osiris- Good all around, lower top speed

Nero/Custom- Best all around Super, high top speed, great for Stunt Races. Looks nice. Lots of customization.

X80- Best car for stunt races, very hard to control though. Good sound, wackiest looks.

Italia GTB- Good for stunt races, high top speed. Meh for normal races. Questionable body design. Lots of customization.

Tempesta- Good all around, lower top speed. Arguably one of the best looking though.

All this is IMO, and not based on anything other than personal experience and bits from Broughy's testing.

i have most of the supercars and all of my cars have the best performance mods you can buy. if you're on XBONE, let me know. i'll let you test drive all of them, if you want. this way you can try before you buy.
