That might sound like a lot but it's a tiny percentage of all the cars/bikes in the game. I'd like to see a ricer update, where they give you cheap cars like old civics and allow you to drop a mill or two in Benny's to upgrade it in every way possible. Why the hell not? This However, I have a feeling that we'll see more and more sports cars entering Benny's like we've seen in the past with the Comet. Shame Benny's might go out of business, which we all know that's never going to happen. Its just been left unused since you can convert certain cars to custom through CEO auto shop without having to drive all the way to Benny's. Sure, you get cool paintjobs and stuff, but objectively speaking, almost all cars you can take to Benny ends up being worse in terms of performance. Nero is the only cars that actually improves, isnt it? Banshee and sultan doesnt really count, as they get moved to supers, so they essentially get nerfed. So either our characters story isn't real or gta5 isn't cannon or our character is real but is in a simulation that is simulating multiple threats to the gov't and the govt is actually looking for ways to combat national security on U.S soil. No, almost all "upgraded" versions which keep the vehicle in the same class are better performing vehicles. Take any of the lowriders as a good example and then consider the likes of the Itali GTB and Specter which, after the 1.40 Gunrunning update, needed to be turned into their upgraded models to really benefit. Oh and everything on the internet must be true then, right? According to Broughy1322's testing: FCR1000 Custom is faster than the FCR1000. Diabolus Custom is faster than the Diabolus. Sabre Turbo Custom is faster than the Sabre Turbo > same with all lowriders. Slamvan Custom is faster than the Slamvan. Specter Custom is faster than the Specter (since Gunrunning). Itali GTB Custom is faster than the Itali GTB Custom (since Gunrunning). Nero Custom is faster than the Nero. So which ones haven't been covered? EDIT: So which ones haven't been covered? So maybe people got it wrong and what they meant to say is, it's 2 vehicles that DON'T benefit from the upgrade... they would be the Elegy Retro Custom and the Comet Retro Custom. In some cases the handling gets a little squirrelly, e.g. Faction and the saber. But yeah, in general the custom variants are all either at least as good or better. They've even completely forgotten about the existence of bad sport in the game after the Gunrunning update. This is mainly because money is so ingrained into their minds. There are so many Benny's ideas I could think of.
