Best way to get bunker/gunrunning up and running

I am about to purchase a bunker and want to take as much advantage as possible on the 2x $$ gunrunning for next few days.

Any input as to the best/quickest way to make that happen?

I know you can focus on different things like manufacturing, research, etc....

Thanks in advance!

In my opinion (which others may disagree with):

-Stick to manufacturing if you wanna make money

-Invest in the staff/equipment upgrades if you can afford it, if not, invest as soon as you can.

-Buy your supplies, don't waste all that time restocking supplies because it takes too long.

-Once upgraded, it takes 2hrs 20mins to make $420,000 of stock (for a profit of $345,000) and you can sell this solo (even better if you can get a solo public lobby)

-In the time it takes to create stock, do Import/Exports ($80,000 profit ever 20 minutes, or $240,000 an hour selling only high end cars once you've sourced one of every kind of car)

-If you've got free time between selling a car and sourcing another car, do a bit of VIP work to supplement your income.

Yeah im not going to have ANY $$ left lol... im about 50k short of the bunker thats on sale.

You can add the upgrades at a later time correct? Like the gun range, etc?

I would do the supply missions instead of buying them... they are fun to do. If they get boring you can buy them.

with the 2x rp and cash I would choose manufacturing, this makes the product you can sell.

You can indeed add the upgrades later. I would skip on the gun range though. Never use it, so for me it was 800k down the drain. Upgrade staff etc first. You also don't need the small karts (dunno how they're called), don't need a room in yr bunker.

Thanks for the input. Just ran the first supply mission to get started or whatever...have staff set on manufacturing.

Now just wait it seems.

How long does it take before can actually do some gunrunning missions for the double rp and $$?

One full bar of supply will take 2hrs 30mins (real time) to deplete. That will give you normally $210k worth of product to sell in Los Santos. With 2x$ that will be $420k. It will only be a one vehicle sell with means you can do it solo with ease. While waiting for the manufacturing you can either watch tv in an apartment and go AFK or run other jobs like import export or ceo missions to keep the dollars rolling in.

Good deal. 2.5 hrs for 400k plus earn another 150-200kish at same time doing sumo, vip stuff, etc...

I like it

Is there a way to check the progress of the manufacturing without traveling all thr way to the bunker?

And one more question....

If i start a gunrunning mission and some other player steals my stuff (i usually play solo)...are those goods gone for good and have to re-manufacture them? Or does the mission just restart?

They can't steal, just destroy your supplies/product.

If it's a supply mission it fails and you have to start another one, if it's a sale and they destroy it, obviously all your stock is gone.

Thanks for the tips, just got a question, how long it'd take to sell full stock solo? How many vehicles? Does it burn you out? Thanks again!

Good info here. I'd note that you might as well do the 14 steal supply missions to unlock all MOC missions before you start buying supplies. I'd privatize the two bunker production upgrades next. Security is not needed if you never go over 50% stock. Once fully upgraded, focus on making product to sell and fast track research as necessary. Only do research if you go AFK overnight. If you want to go AFK, be sure to log out of CEO/MC. There is also a method for going AFK in Contact Missions to not pay any of the daily fees and trick the game into giving you cheaper supplies.

Full stock for $700k/$1050k is not possible to sell solo, unless you get the two phantom wedges. Best solo recommendation is to sell every 140 minutes far for $210k when fully upgraded. One full par of supplies will create $140/$210 worth of product and will always be a single sale vehicle. These sales take 5-10 minutes solo. Since you have to go back to the bunker to buy supplies anyway you might as well just sell what you got.

If you can get them in the next day so you have a couple days with them while the double mony bonus is on, then I'd recommend getting the upgrades and grinding as much as you can while the bonus lasts. Otherwise, depends on your play style. If you'd use an AFK method, do upgrades first. If you think grinding cars sounds fun, then do the vehicle warehouse first. In the long run, doing bother would be good.

True true re. the 2x bonus. The sale on the one bunker is only reason i bought it first before the i/e warehouse.

Want to take as much advantage as possible on the 2x $$ for gunrunning

Starting to get nice little routine...

Resupply/sell missions when can now that have bunker. Vip search (easy 25k in 10 mins), and the sumo (or whatever 2x $$ is)

Netting 100-150k ish per hour. Good start for sure

You suggest to do research if you go AFK (watch tv in apt).... why research vs more manufacturing? Does research use less supplies, therefore getting more time with something working while youre away?

That is a $135k profit and fast tracking an item costs $225. When researching, the $75k in supplies are used over around 6 hours and research 1.5 items. So, if you're going to leave your system on overnight when you go to sleep, it's more economical to have it set to research. (Assuming you want to research everything.)

Make sure to read this first.

http://gtaforums.com/topic/890642-the-lone-wolfs-guide-to-making-money-and-resarch/

You should focus on manufacturing only during this week.

If you have aerial weaponized vehicles (Hydra/ buzzard) and if you are good with them - it's ok to steal supplies. Otherwise, buy supplies and use other ways to make money. Note that if you are in the process of stealing supplies, all the research and manufacturing is paused.

If you don't have Import/Expot warehouse and not that good with VIP jobs, I suggest you to play Slasher / Sumo, since they are double GTA$ as well.

So, your routine could look like this:

- Buy supplies for Gunrunning

- Play Sumo / Slasher (weapons are produced while you are playing the job)

- Sell the Gunrunning stock

- Buy supplies for Gunrunning

...

Ran a supply mission earlier (the tank) ...and literally as i was turning into the bunker area, i blew up one last car and joke is on me bc my tank blew up, supplies destroyed, and mission failed. Daaaaaaaaaamnit! 100 ft away. 26 mins down the drain because that tank is soooo slooooooow

My advice is don't bother with research until double money is over. I only bought my bunker about two weeks ago at a discount and was doing nothing but research until double money update and now I'm on pure manufacturing to maximise profits. Already made the easiest 12 million you could ask for with a couple of days still left. (I have all upgrades for my bunker in Raton Canyon)

I just set my xbox settings to only turn off after 6 hours of inactivity and leave the xbox on pretty much 24/7 AFKing on TV or cameras in bunker while going about my daily routine irl and only checking in every hour or two just to buy more supplies to keep the ball rolling. If you're going to do this as well, be sure to buy supplies right before you go to sleep for the most production.

As for sales, if you don't have anyone to rely on, you're better off selling at the smaller amount where possible like others have said guaranteeing only one vehicle. The only full stock sale mission you'll be able to do solo is the two phantom wedge one which I actually did earlier today myself. I kept getting the other missions with 3 or 4 vehicles and subsequently closed and rebooted the game to get the phantom one which I got on my third try. You'll have to wait a little while every time you close the game and reboot for a different sell mission as you'll lose a little bit of stock for quitting/disconnecting from the earlier mission. It's around a 20 minute wait for it to return to full stock.

I'd highly recommend the quitting/disconnecting tactic if things get hairy and someone destroys your stock while selling. I haven't had it happen to me yet but I'd imagine if you're quick enough, you'll keep the stock with the reduced amount for quitting instead of losing everything. Best of luck man.

I appreciate everyones input. Been plahing for awhile online, but just recently have i really focused in making $$$

I was thinking with the steal vs buy supplies...could probably make 75k in a shorter time than it would take filling up supplies with stealing it.

Ive seen something about the 14 steal missions that you have to complete to unlock some MOC upgrade? ...those can be done anytime, right? Like if i were to buy supplies while double $$ applies, then go back at later time to run the steal missions?

Yes, you can do them later to unlock the missions, and buy your supplies now if you'd like to earn cash more efficiently (f.i. Import/export is faster money than doing supplies)

Cool, thanks.

Yeah the I/E warehouse is very near top of list of things to buy next. That WAS going to be next purchase before they put double $$ on gunrunning and 25% discount on the bunker i bought.

Just now debating if upgrades to bunker for faster manufacturing or the i/e warehouse is next 'investment'. May just do the warehouse first since the double money ends tomorrow

yea i would do the warehouse, that way you will have 2 sources of income.

man but i tell you. this week of 2x money for gunrunning will be mmissed. i made 3 million in a weekend playing. the 75k to fill supplies is worth it for this week since its doubled.
