So, SilentSoul and others who browse this fine thread, what're the opinions on the new Arena War cars? I'm impressed with all the effort the art team has gone through, and the accuracy in some of the new models is fantastic.

@Willy A. Jeep I've been trying to make the game work on the previous version with the new update to use the trainer, but it isn't collaborating with me lol

As soon as I manage to spawn the new vehicles, I'll test them out and do my "review" of the update. 

One thing I gotta say is that I'm also impressed with their effort, like you said. I'm personally not much into those Mad Max stuff, but I really liked most of the "standard" vehicles we've got with this update! 

And guess what... Some of them are similar to sketches I've made before, just like the last updates lol

So, the new Arena War update is live! I've finally managed to spawn the new vehicles on PC. Here's my "review" on them:

First, the best vehicles from the update, in my opinion:

 

Declasse Vamos: YES!!! They added a lore friendly Chevy Nova! I like the 3rd gen. Nova a lot, especially because it gives me fond memories of the first Driver game (one of the vehicles from New York is based on that Nova). Also, I've made the Declasse Winnfield before based on the same model. R* version looks closer to the real deal, which is still great for me! It isn't available yet, but will be an instant buy! 

Declasse Tulip: I wish they called it "Tahoma", hehe. Either way, I wasn't expecting R* to make a 4-door classic muscle car any time soon! The Tulip looks great! 

Declasse Impaler: althought they brought back a classic GTA name, I wish they called it "Lobo". Either way, it's now one of my favorite muscle cars in the entire game! I wish it was a 4-door like my Lobo sketch, though. But I'm sure that will be made eventually by the modding community! 

Schyster Deviant: it's nice to see a new Schyster model, but they should have branded the Deviant as Declasse like the Rhapsody, which is also based on an AMC model. This one is based on a custom AMC Javelin. It looks cool, but it would be better if was more "stock" looking. I was planning to do a lore Javelin sketch, but I think I won't need anymore. Unless... I could sketch a stock version of this model like what I did with the Hellenbach GT (stock version of Ellie).

Vapid Clique: based on a custom '51 Ford Coupe. It's great to see another 50's car added to the game! Again, I wish it was more "stock" looking, but I bet that one will be made eventually, hehe.

Pegassi Toros: I wasn't surprised to see a lore friendly Lamborghini Urus, but what surprises me is that I actually liked it, as I'm not a huge fan of SUVs. I was planning to make a sketch based on the Urus as "Pegassi Marble", but based mostly on the concept version. Looks like I won't need it anymore. 

Benefactor Schlagen GT: sucessor of the Surano, based on the Mercedes-AMG GT. This one is a beauty! The AMG GT is perhaps one of the few modern super cars I like, and it's great to see one added to the game! 

Grotti Itali GTO: finally the "Itali" name used right (looking at you, Progen Itali GTB lol). Another classic GTA name brought back, based on the Ferrari 812 Superfast. Finally a cool looking modern Grotti model after a while! The last one was Bestia GTS, I think... 

Principe Deveste Eight: last, but not least. Not for a good reason. It's interesting to see that Principe also make cars, but I never thought that a lore Devel Sixteen couldn't get any uglier lol  Or is it actually better looking than the real thing? That's one question I leave to you guys. 

 

Other vehicles included on this update:

 

RC Bandito: RC vehicles! With different body types, including Burrito, Rancher, Trophy Truck and Slamvan. You can install bombs on them. 

Annis ZR-380 (Apocalypse, Future Shock and Nightmare versions): based on the Nissan 350Z. It's nice to see they finally added a 350Z to the game, but unfortunately, this one doesn't have a stock version. But I'm sure that one will be made eventually, hehe. Also, why they didn't called it "Euros"?!

Benefactor Bruiser (Apocalypse, Future Shock and Nightmare versions): limo version of the Benefactor Glendale. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a stock version as well.

Bravado Sasquatch (Apocalypse, Future Shock and Nightmare versions): monster truck version of the Bravado Rat-Truck.

Declasse Brutus (Apocalypse, Future Shock and Nightmare versions): based on a custom Chevrolet truck from the movie "Tango and Cash".

Declasse Impaler (Apocalypse, Future Shock and Nightmare versions): arena versions of the Impaler.

HVY Scarab (Apocalypse, Future Shock and Nightmare versions): based on the Howe & Howe Brothers Ripsaw Tank.

MTL Cerberus (Apocalypse, Future Shock and Nightmare versions): based on the War Rig from Mad Max.

Vapid Dominator (Apocalypse, Future Shock and Nightmare versions): arena versions of the Dominator.

Vapid Imperator (Apocalypse, Future Shock and Nightmare versions): based on the Ford Falcon Interceptor from Mad Max.

Vapid Slamvan (Apocalypse, Future Shock and Nightmare versions): arena versions of the Slamvan.

 

In resume, I really liked the idea behind this update, and I'm happy to see nice models and features added on it.

Wow, these sketches are now fully rendered with colour? These look spectacular, especially that Elegy RH-6! Brilliant stuff man, the quality of your work is really kicking up. Keep it up!

So I'm new here, been reading this amazing forum it was eye opening how amazing it is. Loved the sketches and recently you've been coloring them, very beautiful. I do apologize for my screw ups because I tried sending images but since I'm new here I have no clue what I'm doing. I've managed to figure out how to upload images okay so, I got a few suggestions/requests. Could you do you these?

Thank you very much. Ohh, and don't worry about that! I had the same issues when I joined GTAForums. That's one of the reasons why I only started my sketches topic almost a year after that date lol

I only have one little suggestion for you about the pictures. If not asking much, try not to upload pictures way too big. Unless you hide them with the Spoiler option. It's the "eye" icon at the right side of the tools bar while you're writing a new post. Just select the picture's link and press that icon. That way we can avoid overloading the pages! 

 

About the suggestions, I've been thinking about doing an Oceanic sketch, but based on a different model. I may do this one, but I'm not sure yet. In the Torrence's case, I'm not a huge fan of the 3rd gen. Taurus... I prefer the 2nd gen. model.

One thing I could do, if I choose to make the former, is to making it similar to the Willard Solair from GTA IV, which is based on the Mercury Sable Wagon (but I'd make it as a sedan, of course).

 

I won't be doing new sketches at the moment, but I'll do after I finish painting some of the older ones. Stay tuned for more to come!

Thanks for the reply, I guess that's good enough for the Torrence because the Willard Solair was based on the Mercury Sable. As for my opinion on the 3rd gen Taurus, I like it because of the circular "bubbly" design on almost every feature of the car, very 90s.  I would love a classic Torrence. And about the Oceanic, I'm really hoping for a 1961 Dodge Polara/Dart Phoenix/Custom 880 design because I loved the look of it and the design from GTA VC and SA.

I just wanted to point out a minor thing.

 

The Savanna in GTA SA was mostly based on the 1963 Chevrolet Impala in the front and back and the 1964 too.

In order to post pictures that aren't on the internet, you have to upload them on a picture hosting site first, like Imgur (which is the one I use).

 

I'm not the best person to explain things, though.

Here's my thoughts about the suggestions:

 

Pfister Comet Ahab (Porsche 935 991.2) - The new 935 is cool, but I'm not a huge fan of modern vehicles. With a few exceptions, of course. I'll think about it.

Pfister Nova (Porsche 959 / Ferrari F50) - I've already made a 959 as the "Pfister Meteor". I'm going to update it soon, with some design changes.

Übermacht Seraph (BMW M8 Gran Coupé) - I've already made an 8 Series as the "Übermacht Vorstand". I already used the Seraph name to a 5 Series.

Benefactor Singular (Mercedes-Benz AMG One) - The AMG One is an interesting car, but I'm not sure if I'd do it or not. I'll think about it.

Dewbauchee Edge (Aston Martin V8 Vantage 2019 / Aston Martin DBS Superleggera 2019) - I think that'd be a modern Rapid GT. Still, I'm not sure if I'd do it or not. I'll think about it.

Obey SL8 (Audi A7 Sportback 2018) - I'll think about it.

Dinka Saji Sport (Honda Integra DC-2 Type-R) - I already have plans to do a lore friendly Integra.

Pfister Weissach (Porsche 911 GT1 '98 Road Version) - I've already made it as the "Pfister Comet GTR"

Cheval Xinli (Rezvani Beast Alpha / Rezvani Beast X / NIO EP9) - I'll pass this one.

Benefactor Mandingo (Mercedes-Benz Maybach Six) - I'll pass this one.

 

Like I said, I still have many sketches to do, along with the updated version of the older ones.
