Obv not if he kept killing the dude.

 

The dude was afk, his character wasn't.

 

It doesn't work like that. A player will time out after 15 minutes of inactivity regardless of if they are shot and respawn, mugged, run over, whatever unless they are watching TV, security monitors and possibly some other activities.

 

If the player is "AFK" for longer than 15 minutes they have moved their character.

 

Rubber bands/Putting your controller in a weird way to make the thumb sticks stuck are a thing, also self repeating macros.

 

You can afk as long as your connection allows you to

 

I just leave my controller facing down, making the left thumbstick move and staying in that position. No rubber band required.

45 minutes maybe? the guy was doing tight circles and I can only assume he was trying to donut his way through a series of contact missions and either got kicked or timed out into a random free roam session.

 

Because of his donuts, I was able to kill him a good 30+ times and called Lamar on him 4 times stealing 10K each time. A couple other players caught on after that and started fighting among themselves for the privilege of making him their target.

 

I just went and sat in my office and watched the spectacle on TV. It was far more entertaining than Republican Space Rangers, that's for sure.

and how many kills did you get? A few weeks ago this guy was AFKing in OT Rumble and basically caused our entire team to lose because of it. So I voted for free mode and spent almost 4 hours killing him. He came back right as I was about to stop. I got 173 kills and finally got all the weapon awards. Kind of a waste of time but it was worth it to me. He fully deserved to get his KDR wrecked and I had been trying to get those awards for over a year.

Few seconds: i just kill afk players if those players used to be someone killing me for no reason.

Used to interest me killing AFK-ers. I would test out different melee weapons on them. Then it started to get dry so I moved on to moving targets....

Spent a couple minutes sneaking around some bushes sniping a guy through the cover before I realized he was afk lol. Sorry dude my bad.
