Stock horns on the same car sound different

So has anyone else noticed that if you have two of the same car and they both have the stock horns, there is no guarantee they will sound the same?

 

I sure as hell didn't until now. I was dicking around with my friend and we both had our Nero's out. We realized our horns we're different even though we both had the stock horns.

 

I tested it as seen below on my collection of Nero's (I like collecting non-lowrider Benny's vehicles). Anyway, as it turns out no two stock horns on the same car are always alike...

Ya know, it kinda sucks that different stock horns are available for the same car but we don't have an option to buy them. It is clear in this video that no two horns are the same, but no option to buy? Guess that is some more R* logic for ya.

Take the cars to the mod shop and actually verify that you only have the stock horn, please.

Yeah, I mean occasionally you might get the same horn but it really is annoying. Like having a 1 million plus vehicle with a crappy horn... Smh! They should have added all stocks horns to LSC for us to choose from rather than them being random.

From my experience your stock horn is a slightly different pitch to other peoples stock horn so you can differentiate that is all.

My collection of Banshees is on the floor below, my sultan's on the floor above. Most of the grinding and sales I do for money, that money goes to my collection.

Rumour has it that if you sound all variations of the stock horn in the correct sequence it plays Dee-Lite's "Groove is in the Heart" and unlocks the jet pack. There's a 45-minute video on my Youtube Channel if you need more deets.

It's also to do with variation so that horns sound different, intentionally, for the very reason of differentiation (which is something that's done in reality too).

 

There are some vehicles where the stock horn may not differ depending on sessions and the general randomness of it all. One that springs to mind is the Nagasaki Chimera trike.

Stock horns vary like any other NPC car and unfortunately we can't choose them.
It would be nice to have more options added to LS Customs.

Well, i never paid attention to horn sounds of my cars, but my Akuma always has christmas horn in races.

People just gonna hate.. I have 6 Nero's, 5 X80's. I bought them all. Don't gotta believe him or me and that's okay. Just making an ass of yourselves. It's more than possible to have more than one car of the same just because you want to have them customized all differently. ;)

I mean I just have one if each Nero livery. I don't think that's excessive. Why so many dubstas tho? Are you trying to get so many colors or?

Why so many dubstas tho? Are you trying to get so many colors or?

The Mercedes G-wagon is my fav car in real life, I like to drive it in GTA, and I got sick of repainting them all the time. Plus there are three versions of the Dubsta in game, the original, the Dubsta 2 and the Dubsta 6x6.
