Selling of businesses and properties petition

I don't know if it's big enough to warrant a petition really. I mean, not being able to sell an old property isn't going to change the gameplay. It's just an extra potential source of money that's not there.

At best one might want to just ask for the ability to remove properties, but selling them ?

Yeah I doubt rockstar will do it either because it might interfere with their shark card sales albeit for a short amount of time.

 

I know that selling my biker businesses I would only receive around 2.4 million, I own 4 of the businesses down by the docks excluding forgery. But considering that is half of the value of initial value it isn't a huge loss considering most people would probably take that money to buy a single or couple of vehicles.

 

As far as apartments and garages I probably won't be receiving a whole lot back since most have been downsized to 2 car garages. I would sell all but one office garage which would be my primary source of capital back. I just hate having to scroll through a bunch of properties to get to where I want. Same thing with scrolling through vehicles, I don't want to own alot of vehicles.

 

I'm on the fence with the yacht. Most likely would sell but at the same time can be handy. But it passes me off every time I see it and the loss of potential there. The loss of access to the entirety of personal yacht as opposed to the mission yacht. The lack of being total customizable asside from 3 models and some colors.

 

Getting off track. This is something I figure woukd be relatively easy for R* to do rather than some of the much bigger things I see being requested. Personally I would like each office to actually be unique and fit the building they are in but I'm weird like that.

Of course we would like to have more freedom with the things we purchased, like selling those and pegasus vehicles.. rockstar should do this but i doubt they ever will..

Personally, it tickles my OCD pickle when I have 3 empty garages, so yeah it'd be nice.

I have so much useless crap on my guy character that I will never use that I'd love to sell to be able to buy it for my girl. Bunker, MOC, Biker Clubhouse, Expensive Office with 3 garages and the mod shop plus a yacht that cost millions. Same with Pegasus vehicles as well.

I'm sure they would look at this & think it could cost them card sales, people being able to recoup money they need for something else rather than buying a shark card.

 

But another side is that it could actually encourage more purchases. They could just return 50% of value. Personally i'm wary about buying apartments, garages, pegasus stuff etc. I don't like cluttered menu's. Needs also change, right now I may like a house in Paleto, maybe in a couple of months I won't, and then its just one more entry when I call my mechanic for delivery or I'm deciding where a new vehicle is being delivered. Being able to get rid of things I don't want anymore would actually be a great way to get me to buy more stuff, more often in game. I'm sure I'm not the only person who would feel that way.

 

Even if they just gave us a remove option, where we could get rid of a property, clothing, etc. Without getting anything back for it, that would still be better than what we have now.

 

But getting half the value back would be more reasonable.

Good job guys shutting down yeat another petition to improve the game with the old mantra of "R* will not do it because Shark Cards".

 

User 1: R* please let us do full CEO/MC work in Invite lobbies please.

User 2: R* will not let us do that because tha could affect Shark Cards sales.

 

User 1: Alright then, R* please balance the game.

User 2: R* don't bother because Shark Cards.

 

User 1: Well, at least remove the cooldown while ordering a car or something minor like that, please.

User 2: Nah cuz Shark Cards. Why would R* fix something like that if it doesn't affects Shark Cards?

 

How people dare to even suggest R* to improved the game...

 

We have the game that we deserve.

To the OP, I think that change.org is not the best channel to make a petition to R*, why not post it in the R* Official Forums instead?

 

Put the link here afterwards and let's see if it gets any traction (or gets buried).

However, R* isn't going to do a fundamental change to the in-game economy (being able to cash out on pegasus/businesses/labs/offices). Those have been a one-way street since day one.

 

That's not where their attention is, their focus of getting you to SPEND money, not give you avenues to get it back.

 

I agree though, being able to cash out would add to the immersion angle. This game isn't about immersion anymore, it's about dollars and that river flows from you to R*. Not vice versa.

But like I said, there are players who could be encouraged to buy more stuff more often. I'm careful about what I buy because I don't want a bunch of cluttered menus full of things I don't use or want anymore. If I could get rid of them, I would spend more freely.

 

Or just give the option to delete stuff we don't want with no recompense. Better than what we have now, and the shark card angle doesn't apply because we wouldn't be getting any money back.

But it's not like you could get the full payment reselling a house or garage , it could be 50% just likewhen seling cars.

 

But the option should be there, regardless of immersion or whatever R* wants, we the players should demand it and R* should listen to us.
