Does K/D ever go down?

Serious question. I don't really look at it except when I'm looking at player info before races and such and I swear it only goes up and never goes down yet I get absolutely destroyed by other players. What the hell? How can I not have a low K/D?

It does go down, though it's pretty easily skewed.

You could just have more kills than you thought though.

Yeah, it goes down. You probably just aren't getting killed as much as you think.

By the end of last gen, mine had went down pretty bad. But now, it's all fixed. Took me awhile to fix it, and had to work on it nonstop.

I've seen negative ratios on obviously modified accounts, but I don't think it's possible normally.

I've been trying to get to 20.00 K/D for months. I've been as close as 19.99 and as low as 19.78. I monitor my K/D and it yo-yo's up and down.

Yes, I'm a tryhard.

Check your stats, and get your number of kills and deaths on/by players. You could try calculating it for yourself, and see if it matches with what they're saying. Maybe it's glitched or something.

Go ask a player with a rebreather and he'll just suffocate from excitement.

To be fair...would it surprise anyone if certain people had bugged kd's ? :p

It does. Mine had plummeted all the way down to .49 back on PS3, then I decided I wanted it to be at least decent and now it's 1.22 IIRC. Highest it's ever been is 1.28 or 1.29.

Yes and it actually goes down quicker than it goes up.

As far as I can see (with my mathematics ability) it will yes go down faster than it goes up, if you are above 1.00.

OP the opposite is true too. Ie you could in theory be getting killed more than you kill, and still be rising if you are below 1.00.

K/D means NOTHING in this game due to how easy it is to pad. I'm good at best and I'm rolling a 1.84

Ways to pad your stats:

- Bounty camping in subway stations or on top of the airport terminal

- Taking advantage of the 10min off the radar provided by executive search to stalk solo players who are dumb enough to try finding you

- Hosting death matches where you kick any player over level 50 with a KD higher than .5 on maps tou can play blindfolded.

- Hydra.

The point is, no one cares about KD and the ones who do are not worth your time or attention anyway.

Just have fun and KILL.

^I dislike players who play like you do.

The KD should only be relevant to jobs. Noting you do in Free Mode should count.

haha everyone says this yet there are a staggering number of k/d related threads on this forum.

OP put down the controller and work on your studies. Math will take you a long way in life.

You are correct. Perhaps I should say that it's not as important as some make it out to be?

And yes, everyone should put the controller down from time to time and find a way to better themselves, be it though schooling, reading or just going outside and getting physically active.

kd matters in realistic military shooters and this game aint that at all.

Smooth Longsack

The question OP should be asking is, "what is math?"

Like... in the U.S. a student covers ratios (this is a federal standard) by the age of 12 (latest i know of).

OP's teachers.. drink actual bleach.

well for some reason mine goes down more than it goes up. if i get 20 kills it'll go up by like 0.01 but if i get killed 5 times. it'll go down like 0.5.

i dont know if mines bugged or not.
