dante財閥
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Launches Tomorrow on PS4 When we first conceived Hellblade back in 2014 our aim was to create a game that could spearhead a resurgence in mid-sized games; the lost games of years gone by that were creatively rich, featured the highest AAA production values and were more focused in scope than many of the big hitting blockbusters of today. So Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is a AAA quality game that is half the size of a regular AAA game, at about 8 hours in length, and sold at half the price – just $29.99. By keeping our team size small, at 20 devs, and our budget low we can deliver a unique experience that fulfils our creative ambitions, feels every bit AAA in quality and that can be offered at low price that is fair to you and us. Who's interested in this? Who's picking it up? I'm definitely intrigued.
chronic lumbago
I am. It's already released today though. From the spoiler-free info I've gathered, it's something like a "walking simulator plus". There are some combat scenes and puzzles but you spend a lot of time walking around and getting absorbed by the atmosphere. Headphones heavily recommended. Before you mindlessly get it out of the "Triple A indie hype": it's not a game for everyone. It's more of a piece of art, a heavily story driven experience. I respect that a small team made a short AAA quality type game, but it's not why I'm getting this. The psychosis theme is so f*cking interesting and I love these type of atmospheric games, so Hellblade is something I simply cannot miss. Creed Bratton
It sounds pretentious.
chronic lumbago
It sounds pretentious. It's not. Although people give it too much credit for being an indie game. I couldn't care less if it's made by one person or all AAA companies combined. This game is insane, if it's your type of thing. I'm not far enough to give my full thoughts yet but so far it was really good and very unique. Play with headphones. A TV speaker simply won't have the same effect. The way the story is told, the graphics, the atmosphere and the voices constantly whispering into your ears make it an unique psychological horror game. You're heading straight into the depths of Seuna's insanity and I think they completely nailed the psychosis part. There are many shockingly disturbing moments in this game and the fact that it's based on our own human psychological disorders doesn't make it any better. I will never be scared of zombies, ghosts and skyrim spiders again once I'm done with this. Oh and the combat is pretty damn good. It's basic, but well animated and you kind of feel every hit you make. It feels very dynamic. Edited August 8, 2017 by fashion dante財閥

chronic lumbago
Play this. I was ehh about it but this is the most fun I had with a game in a long time. Amazing story 10/10 Good to hear you liked it as much as I did. I'm not quite finished yet because I play the game in short sessions and take my time taking screenshots. Have you played it with headphones? I really like how you can make those disorted screenshots. Some neat screenshots tools they've added, although the mode is a tiny bit glitchy. I played it with headphones and it's kinda cool u keep hearing voices in ur head to the point ur going crazy searching for a solution for a puzzle. Don't get me started when you battling and hear voices.
chronic lumbago
I think I'm about halfway through now. It takes me longer than I expected. I already had 4 playsessions lasting 1-1,5 hours. Game was supposed to last 6-8 hours but my first run will take at least 8. I'd say it's a fair price. The story is unlike anything I've ever played. Oh boy, screenshot dump coming soon. Richard Power Colt
I finished the game and while I enjoyed its story quite a lot, I feel like the gameplay clashes with it a bit. The lengthy fights and the shape finding puzzles are kinda repetitive and make Hellblade sometimes feel pretty gamey rather than an immersive narrative experience. I think there could have been more unique gameplay scenarios and maybe less reliance on cutscenes to tell the major storypoints. As far as the whole mid-budget game thing goes, I absolutely would love more games like this with Triple A quality production value, but a more narrow and experimental focus(and a lower price ofc). I just don't have the time or interest to invest myself in all the giant open-world games and other games with huge amounts of filler content that are coming out these days. I'd rather play through a bunch of different and unique well put together experiences. Edited August 14, 2017 by Richard Power Colt
Craigsters
Anyway to get rid of the mouse cursor on screen? it's locked in the meddle of the screen I'm using the Xbox one wired controller for Windows "You don't understand! I could've had class. I could've been a contender. I could've been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am."
