These things are pretty powerful against players on foot. Can be a little vulnerable to snipers if you don't dive bomb properly, but if you get it right they won't hit you, plus most people just homing launcher you or try to auto aim you anyway.

 

Can't really speak for it against jets. I've taken down a few with it, but haven't faced a really good jet pilot yet with it.

 

I'm not a huge fan though. Too readily available in my opinion, which makes it too forgiving for those who mess up all the time with it. You can just spawn it again incredibly quickly. Plus the insurance is a bit - I mean, eww. At least the jets and pre-nerf tanks and previous vehicles didn't lump people with that.

Yeah spending 10m doing some sh*t in a lobby of 25 players and then getting $4500 for winning because no other f*cker gave a sh*t gets a little old.

 

Especially when it was Checkpoints and I drowned an Oppressor getting one, so I ended up "winning" -$15,500.

Which makes winning easy. When there is no rockstar freemode event create your own.

If the oppressor ruins free mode events, then so does the Hydra, Buzzard, Savage, Tank, Insurget Pick/Insurgent Custom, and every other vehicle that has been weaponized by Rockstar. All they're doing is giving players the ability to counter other vehicles that player use to cause havoc in sessions. Plus please remember this is GRAND THEFT AUTO the whole idea of the game is to cause havoc, free mode sessions aren't meant to be a cake walk. Just because I own an Oppressor doesn't automatically mean that I have to use it to "oppress" people, I generally only go after people who go after me in free mode sessions. I can't speak for everyone but if you're looking for a game where their isn't mass chaos on online.. I'm sure you could just buy Mario Kart or something?

I don't think people's beef with it has anything to do with how much chaos is in the game, at all. That just seems to be a strawman to be honest.

 

I can only speak for myself of course, but what I don't like is that it's basically a personal jet, that can be spawned next to you with no cooldown whatsoever, and is guarded by 20K insurance - something that can't be said for any of the old attack vehicles. Plus you can just throw a snowball at a Savage and it falls out of the sky.

 

That said, I'm not massively bothered, and will wait for more tools to be released. And people are free to use them of course, just as other people are allowed to criticize the bike.

Look, we just need to accept that Rockstar has throw up their hands and said "screw it, go to war with each other".

 

This update was fun but I wouldn't say it spoils free mode events as much as turns every single free mode event/interaction into a war simulator.

It's fun but I dunno, doesn't feel so balanced.

The fact that players still expect some kind of balance out of this game makes me sad. It's like a battered spouse who bakes cookies with a black eye lol. I'm no better though, obviously I'm on here and still playing. Yeah it is a sh*tter's wet dream come true, that doesn't mean the Oppressor isn't still a blast and a half to play around with.

I've killed myself accidentally with more than I have other players lol, i actually think quite a few honest players use it mostly for transport and defense. It really is one of a kind in both respects, not like you can insta spawn a Hydra at your feet...

And since you are an a admitted money glitcher, who pretty much has nothing to lose in this game since you didn't put in the time to work for your things, you wouldn't understand our frustration, so let me try to reach to you in a manner that you might understand:

 

The game, now, is pay-to-win because of this f*cking bike. If you don't own one and try to join these events, you WILL lose if another player brings it.
