The Oppressor Spoils Freemode Events

I have an oppressor and I've used it to win many public events. Here's a handful that it'll get you a first place medal in:

- Perform the longest wheelie (just get the wings out and you can go on forever with minimal effort)

- Travel the longest distance without crashing (The boost gives you speed. The faster you go, the further you'll go. Being a bike means you can swerve between traffic with ease).

- Reach the highest top speed in a land vehicle (The boost)

- Jump the longest distance in a land vehicle (Boost into the air and glide back down. You don't even need a ramp)

They're the main few I can think of; I'm sure there's more. It gives you a really big advantage over all other players and makes it impossible for other players to compete. I've even had people send me messages calling me a cheater or so on. Is it cheating? I do feel as though I've got a really unfair advantage over others; it really does ruin the competition and makes public events too easy. But at the same time, I paid for it so surely I should be allowed to reap the rewards? What do you think? Do you get bugged by oppressors taking part in freemode events? Do you use an oppressor?

Snapadoodle

It's also pretty great for criminal damage, but it can't compare against a hydra or savage still. I consider it's ability to win so many free mode events as a nice offset to the number of times I had to pay insurance for accidentally landing in a pool, blowing myself up, etc.

Good outweighs the bad IMO. Jets have a tougher time now.

I love the oppressor. It's great for getting around the map and is a load of fun to use, although it is a bit weird being in a GTA game. With each update, GTA is slowly becoming more of a James Bond game - Here's the trailer for the next update

. I mean, GTA has never been 'realistic' but it has at least been a realistic parody of reality. Now it's just getting silly. Edited by JakeSmooth

While it can be fun to fly around and shoot stuff, things like the oppressor shouldn't be in GTA, that's what Saints Row was for.

Who'd have thought that a personal weaponized flying bike that can cross the map as quick as a helicopter and costs other players the maximum amount of insurance money to defend themselves against would have caused issues in the game world.

Talk about jumping the Shark Card

I went nuts for the oppressor when it was first released, and couldn't wait to get the missile upgrade... but now I feel a bit stupid on it, like a big griefing kid or something.

Once you get over the fuzz then it's just a regular vehicle.. i didn't used it anymore since 3 weeks by now, using the armed tampa or some other sh*t haha.

Waiting for the races with it tho.

Smooth Longsack

- Perform the longest wheelie (just get the wings out and you can go on forever with minimal effort)

Manchez bodies all

- Travel the longest distance without crashing (The boost gives you speed. The faster you go, the further you'll go. Being a bike means you can swerve between traffic with ease).

This is still skill based.

- Reach the highest top speed in a land vehicle (The boost)

The vindicator consistently gets me a higher speed. I mostly get sub 160mph speeds out of the oppressor.

- Jump the longest distance in a land vehicle (Boost into the air and glide back down. You don't even need a ramp)

Nothing beats the oppressor here.

The picture above shows a win at over 180mph.

Oh I know, I use it for those events.

Nobody really does them anyways, so I might as well take first place. Well... on Xbox at least, I'm not sure how PS/PC players go about FR events. Nobody seems to care, I've seen a full lobby flat out ignore 80% of events

twats spoil free roam.

According to Team America, twats are the peaceful players, while the arseholes in jets are sh*tting on them and now the dicks got oppressors and are f*cking everything. :p

Happy Hunter

It's quite good at torturing people on the ground too.

Thankfully I haven't had it done to me yet, but I'm able to dive bomb people with it just like a jet. Only it's a much smaller target, isn't going to get hit by RPGs, shields me with 20K if they destroy it anyway, and if I crash I get to spawn a new one at my feet.

Should've been Pegasus, or just not have had the missiles - in my opinion. But it's too late for that.

Luckily it'll take some time before everyone figures out how to use it. By then, hopefully we'll have a Hunter or something to take care of them.
