So .. Rockstar capped the daily amount of $$$ we can make?

So ever since after Gunrunning dropped I got this message around afternoon or evening after doing I/E exports and VIP work inbetween, has been my routine in Los Santos for the last couple of weeks:

 

 

No big deal. I would get it every now and then, but it really didn't bother me much, so I would just call it a day and it would try again the next day, and it would work again. Rockstar servers always had a will of their own, might have to do something with my network settings, or atleast that's what I thought until not so long ago. Got it again today and it started to piss me off, so I looked it up on the web and asked some friends about it. Turns out it's not client side but this error message is caused by some netcoding on Rockstars side. Seems like there is method to the madness. I found it odd that the error message would manifest itself in the same way for me than it would for other people. Mostly appearing in the afternoon and disappearing the next day, even if these users would be in different timezones. If it was server downtime a player's timezone wouldn't be part of the equation. Turns out that, if you do exactly 15 VIP missions or earn around 300K in one day from these jobs this message starts appearing. That's why it appears around afternoon or evening since most players spread it out over a day. Some people on reddit & rockstar support say it might be a cheat protection to prevent modders dropping money on other players which has benn added around 20th of July which backfired because sh*tty netcoding, some say it's an unofficial way to establish a cap to prevent you from grinding VIP jobs.

 

Worst thing is when I report this issue to support they treat it like an individual issue, like my network or PC, I haven't touched for months all of a sudden decided to f*ck up at a specific amount of cash earned/VIP missions completed. Everytime these support monkeys at Failstar ask me to delete my savedata or tweak around with my modem. What's next? Disassembling my PC and hitting the components with a hammer. Just f*ck you.

 

Like I said, this problem is wide spread out among the GTA Online community, from people on Reddit & Rockstar Support to people in my friend list & crews. Friends & acquaintances alike mention the same issue, we're able to completely fill up a public sessions on a monthly basis in some of our crews, and the fact that there is a common consensus in reporting this issue should tell you something. We got quite a few people who share these issues, like some of these fellows right here :

 

 

So I urge you do the test yourself, for those of you who like to grind VIP work, try to complete 15 VIP missions and see what happens. If you're able to grind some more, or it just turns out Rockstar went like "nope, we think you made enough today for doing VIP work, we'll just cap it here". Not being able to make the amount I want to make is a major dealbreaker for me. Cheaters abuse the system, and the normal player takes the beating due to failstar netcoding. GG.

Alex, we share the name with you, so nice to meet you. I made around 500,000 yesterday doing gunrunning sales, vehicle cargo sales, VIP jobs and 2x Mobile operations and never seen this message. I'm seeing something similar when trying to sell stock before receiving the supplies and while selling with blocked port. There were days after GR when I made more than a million per SESSION while in public solo. So, the cap should be specifically related to VIP jobs, not sales.

 

I never did 15 VIP jobs per day, though and I will test it during 24 hours.

All this means is that there are so many people and so much activity in your session that the Rockstar servers cannot handle the number of 'requests' being made to them.

It's a technical issue, and nothing to do with the amount of money you're making in one day.

Just clear out your router/PC/console caches, and you'll be able to play again as usual, until your lobby gets clogged up again like shown in the above posted images. Remember that GTA online is only designed to cater for 24-30 interconnected people at the same time, and you seem to be right on this limit.

I also got this transaction error as some other peoples here(there is a thread already), I can't track how many VIP jobs I played when it occured...I think my session was tired af or my Steam needed to be cleaned.

Guys.... these "requests from your game" are not nessesery related to rewards or even money only. There are lots of differnent requests the game can make.

You change the glasses - you make a request, you get a snack - you make a request, your car is blown up - another request, etc/

 

Do you see the same message in a row several times? If there is a cap, this message should be consistent.

This is just a transaction error. The product wasn't even removed. I was able to sell the same exact stock right after the session change.

I've made multiple millions in a day and had zero trouble. During the last double event a friend of mine made over 7 mil in one saturday

I got this couple of times too, sometimes it was because a mod user was spamming cash bags and it triggered Rockstar's anti cheat system or whatever, the other times I was alone in a public lobby but the connection had some troubles (being disconnected, failed save, players around me laggy as hell).

 

I did a few times some sessions with 5 full businesses sales + 2 full large wharehouse sales + and couple of I/E and a GR delivery. I did about 6 mills in 2 hours, no warning like that ever showed up despite the big amounts of cash involved.

Yes indeed this limitation only affects VIP jobs as mentionned twice in my post.
I am still able to complete car sales without any issues.
I still have unstable results with biker sales. I also have many reports from friends on that message showing up during bunker sales.

Also happens in empty session. I know where you're coming from, until the 20th of july this error message was symptomatic of networking problems, but considering new implementations, updates and changes in the netcode all the evidence points to my thesis.

As for the Rockstar support, I would be nice to see some quotes / links.

Ok. I can confirm that. The message is a thing.

 

I've done 10 VIP jobs and received the exact same text (have a video evidence). However, keep in mind that it's inconsistent. I've recieved money for 11th VIP work, no problems occured. So there is no "daily $$$ cap" or other conspiracies.

 

I'll play around a bit more and post the results

Ok, I can confirm too. Invite only, got the message after 11, got the money too. I will push it to 15 later and let's see what's going to happen. This is definitely a thing and it's easy to miss the money being deposited, but in my case it was there. No video, just screens before and after.

 

There is no money cap for sure, you can sell a lot of goods per session with no troubles at all. The issue is with VIP work specifically and it's here.

I did ONLY heists this afternoon and got that message after doing about 5 setups and 2 finales.

Did another 2 setups and a finale after that. No problem.

One thing is solid, cheater has nothing to do with this message. I've seen it today 2 times in invite only. What is worse, however, there were messages that people have left my invite only session and needless to say I haven't invited anyone. That was not public solo, classic invite only. And I have never seen anyone, just the message XXX left. There is something going on with R* servers lately.

I was in solo public. Other players (cheaters or not) have nothing to do with this. I've completed another 2-3 jobs, didn't recieve the message.

The game uses peer 2 peer, noone hosts alone, everyone shares the load equally.

That's odd, I do lots of VIP works on daily basis & I never saw this message, Is it a PC only issue?

 

I turned off my Xbox 30 minutes ago & I've made about $1.3M tonight:

 

1) $320k from I\E, 4 High-end cars.

2) $252k from a Bunker sale.

3) $8k from a Simeon export, it was a Schafter.

4) $710k from VIP jobs, I did Plowed, Transporter, Headhunter, Fortified & Hostile Takeover LSIA plenty of times tonight, alongside a single Sightseer.

 

 

 

EDIT: I also won a Longest distance in reverse challenge as well, I don't remember the exact amount of the reward, so let's call it $10k.
