2nd character free apartment

Hi, I was curious if there are any requirements to get specific apartment (maybe higher rank = more expensive apartment?) when making 2nd, 3rd, etc. character with transferring rank to it? First time when I did it i was rank 44 (wanted to play female character) I got cheapest Del Perro Heights apartment but 2nd time when I was rank 55 (didn't have idea what clothes use on female ) I got more expensive Richards Majestic apartment (cheapest one worth $241,000)

I've no idea the tiers for apartments and rank requirements, but it's definitely something I'd like to know myself. I'm wondering whether you always get a high-end apartment, regardless of rank (so you can launch heists yourself) or whether at lower ranks, it becomes a smaller property?

I copied the rank to my second when I was about lv 40 and got Alta as free apt. I am pretty sure that you just get one of the high ends random.

I believe you have to be rank 5, and that unlocks all properties.

Garages and apartments unlock at lvl 5, high end apartments as well.
