I miss Chemical Extraction so bad :(

Everytime I think of that mission, I Feel like heading up to R*s NY HQ and grabbing a pipe and breaking the Dumb***es Knee Caps who had the Brilliant Idea of getting rid of Chemical Extraction.

 

I Miss that Mission and so much of the Old (360) days, so Much.

I never had a glitch or bug with ChemEx or Pickup Sticks, I swear they removed them just because they thought Deliver EMP and Sightseer were 'the same thing'.

All those adversary modes no one gives a damn about are still available in three clicks, but lets remove some missions instead...

 

Lets ask them to bring them back..... Similarity between missions and some heists or various game modes is not an issue. Intercepting the Merryweather convoy during the Pacific Standard is kinda identical to the mission where you steal an APC to ressuply your bunker.

Still waiting for a mission creator. Even if it were virtually impenetrable, I'd figure out how to work it. Actually, making it near impossible to use might be a good way to keep the missions relatively decent.

^ It's the scripting (when collected coke, activate supplier, make fly, etc) that would prove troublesome to 'consumerise', imo.

Just found most of them on rockstar & added them, all that remains is to wait and see if the missions will actually start. Will update this post later tonight on whether they worked for me or not

 

 

OK so here is the promised update.....IT WORKS!!!!!

 

just played Crystal clear out 3 & coasting, right now I'm waiting for the matchmaking to give me another player so I can carry on.

 

But the main thing is they work :)

Absolute crock of sh*t. It's these kind of issues that get ignored, but when it comes to money glitches, they instantly get on the case. I'm almost one hundred percent certain that they weren't removed because of the fact that they weren't played much, because let's get real here - we all know that's a load of bullsh*t. Whoever sent you that response over there at the crappy support forums doesn't actually know the explanation as to why they were mysterously removed; they just made-up an answer so they would mark it as solved. You know, they've got money issues to care of, remember?

Another thing, 2-4 players missions,you can easily play these missions solo,but no,you need more players,wtf.We have similar missions like these (same objective,two vehicles),but you can play them solo.

We need all missions available solo,if you can't play solo,then invite more players to help you.

I didn't get to finish the playlist I was doing, for the final mission, which needed 3 players minimum, I sat waiting with auto invite running for more than 15mins with no takers. Still, it was a lot of fun to play some of those missions again & I will try to get through the playlist tonight, I will do it as soon as I log in & hopefully have better luck in getting the players.

 

Your right, I could solo those missions, it's a real hassle at times needing to drum up extra players so you can run a mission you want to do. Playing with others, you can't go about the job in the way you want, experiment with different approaches etc too.

I think we can dream a long time before seeing any update towards the missions, like make them all soloable or whatever.

It's like hoping for the release of an HD texture for the Z-type interior, it doesn't imply any money injected in Rockstar's pockets: it's a complete loss of time for them.

I think the issue is that several of these missions were bugged. I played Chemical Extraction a good bit when it was available and the biggest issue in this mission is that enemies spawn at their spawn points regardless if how close you are to one of them. They don't stop spawning if you happen to be close to a spawn point, they just spawn inches behind you and shoot you in the back before you can react.

I basically had to remember where each spawn point was and stay away from them to keep myself from getting shot in the back from a guy who spawned behind me.

 

This issue even exists in some missions still available now like Stocks and Scares. A lot of them have existed since launch day and were never fixed.

They don't put any time or money into fixing these bugs and glitches, if they do anything they just block them off entirely instead of fixing. However if a bug or glitch exists that players can utilize to their benefit they fix that sh*t really f*cking quick. Shows perfectly where their bottom line is. They only spend enough money to make more content to nickel and dime you some more with and not a single penny more. Keep that in mind when it comes to upkeep and maintenance, Rockstar does jack sh*t.

 

I wager most of that shark card money goes to the shareholders whilst a small amount goes towards more updates, and zero towards patching bugs and glitches that negatively affect players.

 

It would hurt their PR if they just came out and told us the truth that the missions are broken and they're to cheap and lazy to fix it, so they just give players a line of sh*t and hopes they are not smart enough to figure out the real reason. Rockstar and Take Two are basically in the same box as EA, Ubisoft, and Konami at this point in my opinion.

I never had any issues with Chemical Extraction. After they removed it, they brought it back, and it worked just fine. Then they removed it again without reason. Ridiculous.

Yeah if sh*tty enemy spawns were a big enough problem to pull a mission there would only be Meth'd Up and Blow Up let :D

The only issue I had with Chemical Extraction was after hacking, the lock up wouldn't open sometimes :lol: And I think its safe to say that the true almost dead accurate NPC's in a helicopter were first seen in that mission :p

 

I do rememora the issue with Pickup Sticks where occassionally the next location wouldn't show up on the radar, and we had to go by memory :lol:

Ah yeah PuS did have that issue. But Effin Lazers has been pulled and reinstated at least once so there's no excuse.

 

Devil's advocate, they have added

 

Lamar missions

MOC missions

Special Vehicle missions

I/E steals

Cargo steals & sales

GR steals & sales

 

..which they could argue are "new missions", but there's just something nice and simple about Contact Missions, less restrictive play, and a vote screen!

 

They actively prevent us playlisting these new missions though (although we had a few days to build some).

I wouldn't count the steals and sales.

 

The likes of the special vehicle missions, moc missions, are pretty much contact missions.

 

If something allows, actually, asks other players to come along & kill you and destroy your objective In freemode, that isn't true PVE content as far as I'm concerned. And everyone can agree that PVE content has been largely been ignored by R* for a long time now.

 

Stuff you can do solo, or work alongside others without having to constantly watch your back is nice. I prefer to solo them because there is more challenge, I can also mess around trying new approaches to finishing the mission. With others involved people will be all gungho about getting it done asap. Sometimes I just like to have a little fun with contact missions. When they had the double event though, in was like a machine going through those things.

Playing contact missions is my favorite part of this game tbh. I am pretty foreign to playlists in this game but last time I tried Coveted and Potshot no one joined lol.

I particularly love CCO III for sniper practice :D Drink -> bite to eat -> off road motorcycle -> sniper -> x16 playlist -> profit :p

I never really had no problems with "CE", as I always did that mission with a tank LOL and freakin' Loved it. I would call in my Tank and it would spawn at the building, that has the Barracks Army Truck next to it in Grapeseed(Right behind The Weed Grow House).

 

I remember doing Missions back in the old Days, doing them back to back (B2B) in Order to spawn at/or near where the next Mission would takes Place. Like for example: If I was spawned in the City, I would do

 

1st: Trash Talk

2nd: A Titan of a Job

3rd: Chemical Extraction

 

and to get back to the city, I would do "Water the Vineyard" to start all over. Usually I would mix in CCO II & III, If I Felt like doing them as well.

 

I actually still do this to this very day, except without "CE" of course. But now, I've added Sightseer and Fleeca Job to my daily routine, when doing Missions "B2B".

I've said it time and time again, the mission creator is extremely overdue and would bring a lot to the game. There's no reason not to add it. Sure, you will get the $1,000,000 1,000,000 RP missions or whatever but they can be avoided much like the DMs and LTS are.

 

It's been requested for so long now though I doubt it'll come to us, which is very disappointing.

I still rep the Contact Missions. Great practice for testing new vehicles and weapons or just as a personal challenge.

 

Base Invaders using only a pistol, anyone?

 

Crazy how few of these missions are offered in the Continue menu. Seems like the same 10 or so missions offered on repeat forcing us to return to free mode to choose something that isn't one of the few they offer (even when choosing Random!)

It was only a ps3 exclusive,but I would have killed to played "funs" field of scream.

 

 

It looked like alot of fun.sure,like the rest I would have taken the risk by getting banned bookmarking it just to play it.

What about the Biker contract missions? I thought they were really well constructed and fun, although I hadn't even looked at them until 2x$!

 

Not sure how I forgot those, they added something for a while but to be honest, there weren't enough and they became very stale very fast (however 600 completed (and I haven't played them for months) may be why). Some are complete trash (outrider for instance) but some can be fun.

 

However, it's still not enough. Biker missions are freeroam events and have cool downs. Even if playing in invite only the issue is the 5 minute cool down (or is it 3?) and having to drive all the way back to the clubhouse to start the next. If I wanted to wait around I'd join a heist lobby.

 

PvE has been ignored for too long, we need more contact missions, many many more contact missions.

old days grinding contact missions, it feels fresh everytime unlock and play a new one. i hope there will be new contact missions :( more complex missions like ls connection and the time-limited assassination mission.

Only MOC or CEO or anything like that, 0 chance there will be new contact mission in the old fashion way...
