True GTAO Fans vs Completionists

If you are a true fan of GTAO, then being able to afford every item you want would not reduce your enjoyment of the game.

If you are a completionist, then being able to afford every item you want would reduce your enjoyment of the game.

True fans view buying items as adding to their toy chest to enjoy using whenever they want. They tend to have a greater appreciation for free roam, as it is the basis of GTAO.

Completionists feel at least somewhat empty after buying items. Another garage filled, another property purchased, then back to the grind.

As a true GTA fan, I believe co-op missions and PvE are by far better than all PvP aspects. It's a shame they haven't added new "classic" contact missions.

Or a bloody creator

If I had hundreds of millions and could afford everything, I'd enjoy the game more.

I'd do missions for fun and play them how I want, rather than grinding and doing the same missions in the most efficient (not most fun) way.

To a degree yes. I completed story mode just to get 100% however I did enjoy it. With online I grind to buy toys but I dont own everything and probably wont. In saying that my "grind" is made up of stuff I like doing. Even though I\E earns good money, I find it boring. Same with Pac Standard after a while. At the moment I just do the x2$ events and sell drugs and guns. Keeps me entertained :-)

I can relate to this.

3 years on and no matter how much I have liked the GTA franchise since the first one and having too much money kinda did kill it for a while. The updates over the last 12 months have helped to bring back some interest yet it's not exactly played anywhere near as much as it once was by me.

PvE is seriously lacking in content. I 100% agree with Rexx.

This is how I play.

I modded in hundreds of millions, bought everything I could ever want or need and you will still find me playing for hours running Missions, Sales, Resupplies, Crates or Cars..

Also, my friends have less money then me, and are constantly wanting to make money, leading to more grinding. I feel that I can't enjoy my reasonable wealth because pretty much everything is better with more people. So it makes the game less fun. If the game didn't revolve around a pointless grind, it would be so fun. I always, and always will want new toys, and the crazy prices of new items slow this. My friends are further behind then me, so they also want new toys. Then we grind, and the game is less fun - and why is a potentially super fun d*cking about simulator not fun, because C* demand money, and have turned their game into a grind.

Hell, I only found out that you could get into the towed boats today (been playing since early 2014), because I have spent nearly all of my GTA career grinding, and my friends have too. Something like that I likely would've found early, if everything was more reasonably priced, and you didn't have to grind for everything.

Rant over.

Get a mate to back the boat trailer in to some water - your mind will be blown...

Yeah, me and a mate did that in a few minutes of downtime. It was super fun.

A true GTA fan understands that everyone is different and different things make different people happy.

Completionists make general wide sweeping statements that group players into only two categories.
