Fully fast track for $45,000 [PS4/X1 only]

I haven't seen this posted before but if it is mods please lock or delete this thread

 

When I was watching Youtube this video came up as suggested and being desperate to finish all the research I watched it.

 

Credit for this goes to Dat Saintsfan or whoever he stole this from. This is the video

 

When the research bar gets to this point fast tracking will cost $45,000 click on it and wait on this screen (Don't forget to move your controller so you don't get kicked)

 

 

Wait until the research bar is empty and a new item is displaying as locked

 

then click confirm and you have fully researched for 45k instead of 225k

 

To do this again you will have to wait until the next item is almost completed

BTW , this doesn´t work on PC , tried it to unlock the last item 3 days ago (the minigun on the insurgent custom) and it didn´t work

Works for me on Xbox must just be consoles. I've done it for the last 5 things I have unlocked.

Can confirm and if for any reason you misclick and try to be smarter than the game by cutting the connection, the whole research bar gets reset

Worked for me on PC, at first it looked like it hadnt, but after logging back in to the bunker console it showed 2 research items completed.

That's weird it didn't work for 2 other people. Probably best to say it doesn't work for PC and if people want to risk it they can. I don't want anyones research being messed up because of this.

This worked for me on PC (done it twice before i mucked up the third time as i went AFK too long right before it was bout to finish and got booted)

This no longer works on X1. At least not for me. It turned over the progress when it switches to the next research item. Tried 2 times same results.

I don't care if I could have unlocked 100% of all research for $1; out of principle I will not pay a single cent to unlock research. I said from the beginning that I like the idea of waiting for research and not have everything handed to me at once, and that everything will be unlocked in due time. As indeed it has; I just have 2 of the latest added research objects left to unlock, and I will not use this glitch.

 

I guess even though GTA:O is supposed to be 18+ only, there are a lot of impatient children among the mostly retarded player base who will throw a temper tantrum if they have to wait for something to unlock. And I guess that's why they removed all level locks from vehicles and weapons also. But for me, unlocking things over time has been the whole idea of GTA from the start.

It does work on PC, but you only have about 5 seconds to do it. You have to catch it when then next research item is shown and before the padlock image appears. (4 f***ing liveries on the trot. Thanks R*)

It worked on PC, just did it now. Once the item picture changed i pressed confirm and then reopened the bunker laptop and 2 items were complete.

Should retry that on pc but it's not really worth the hassle.

First you need to be there in the bunker at a precise moment or you will have to spend some time before the last 2-3 "ticks" happens. All in all you save 180k, but in the meantime you could have run 1-2 vip jobs, which would net you at least 30k, so 150k spared.

Still it's a nice way if you happen to be around the bunker at the right moment

To those who choose to wait, that's your choice. Notice how that's said without negative connotation or judgement.

 

My choice was different. After unlocking everything the first time I appreciated the ability to use my bunker solely for profit. Having to stop that just to do research for 4 things I still can't afford, 45K seems like a small price to pay to speed things up a little.

 

There's very few hard and fast rules about how one plays the game "correctly". They provide the sandbox and the toys. We build our sandcastles.

 

So try and lighten up about your opinion on how others play differently than you.

I've done it twice now (PS4) and both 2nd items I unlocked were weapons for the buggy I do not own.

 

Hooray for not wasting all that time researching them I guess?

Still works on XB1, I just did it.

No longer works on XB1. As soon as the research is complete, the confirm fast track for $45,000 menu disappears.

 

You can still quit the application though if you want to try for something else if the next project is something you do not want.

 

Oh well, got almost everything I wanted.
