Journey_95
I think overall its a pretty sh*tty and strange medium. I have seen some good anime (Cowboy Bebop, Fate/Zero etc.) but largely they seem to be rather disgusting with a lot of creepy sh*t in them. The fanbase is cancer as well Thoughts? Femme Fatale
The only anime I've watched is Pokemon, and Dragon Ball Z. Although I can't call myself a hardcore fan of either one. I've recently started to get interested in watching Ghost in the Shell, and Death Note, along with reading the manga. B Dawg
Don't like the art style, and hate their f*cked up fanbases who make stupid anime girl game mods. When you see game screenshots/artworks/workshop mods or even videos with this stuff playing crappy anime music, you wish to exterminate them. TheGodDamnMaster
I just finished both Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop for the first time, and they're fantastic. I also love Yu Yu Hakusho, a lot of great music and characters in that one. I don't consider myself an anime "fan", I won't watch just anything. The Dedito Gae
It can be cringy as hell, situations are either too childlish or weirdly pervy for something that most of the time it's aimed at kids. Art is fluent and detailed but characters have these big eyes that make everyone look the same, you can barely tell women from teens/children in most animes. I won't call it sh*t overall because there's always the exception to the rule, but some mainstream examples are too strange and offputting to western viewers. Richard Power Colt
I think you just need to avoid the "weaboo" animes that are basically just about cute girls shaking their giant tits about. In general I feel like 99% of anime TV shows are also just aimed towards kids or teenagers. Not that I mean that older people shouldn't be able to enjoy it too(my avatar is actually from a manga/anime called Fist of The North Star which is pretty campy, but fun), but I think if you want to watch some anime that's actually mature or just has really good storytelling you'll have better luck with anime films. I haven't seen every Studio Ghibli film, but all of the ones I've seen like Spirited Away, Totoro, Porco Rosso etc. have been pretty great. I'd also recommend Akira and the 1995 Ghost in The Shell film. Edited August 6, 2017 by Richard Power Colt
Shmoopy
Slam dunk,Cowboy beebop and Samurai Shamploo, that's about it. My most favorite gotta be Slam dunk because of the art style and also the character of the protagonist.
Zello
Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, and Durarara. I don't watch much anime because it's hard to find some good ones to watch that aren't weird and creepy.
