Warlord of San Andreas

  1. 1. Do you consider your Character a Warlord at this point?

    • Yes.
    • No, if so, explain what you consider your Character then.
    • I don't consider my Character anything.

"Every self-respecting warlord in Los Santos is familiar with the unstoppable momentum and panoramic firepower that is the HVY Insurgent Pick-Up." - Rockstar

***A warlord is a leader able to exercise military, economic, and political control over a subnational territory within a sovereign state due to his ability to mobilize loyal armed forces. These armed forces, usually considered militias, are loyal to the warlord rather than to the state regime. Warlords have existed throughout much of history, albeit in a variety of different capacities within the political, economic, and social structure of states or ungoverned territories.***

I guess I'll take that as a compliment and/or upgrade then...?

So, let's get this straight, our Characters went from VIPs of an Organization, upgraded to CEO, some of them diversified and became a Motorcycle Club President, but it seems that now they're considered Warlords?

Yeah, I get to be a Warlord and/or Dictator like one of the many Dictators that ruled my Origin Country of Guatemala, Efrain Rios Montt:

108.jpg

A while back, I came up with an idea for a Dictator DLC, and now it seems that we're not very far from the idea anymore.

Does someone want to explain how the hell our Characters came to Los Santos as a friend of Lamar wanting to Street Race and make a few bucks and ended up becoming the f*cking Warlord of San Andreas, or not?

Does anybody see the next DLC as there being a new faction, potentially another regime attempting to stop us?

What's next, we become the Emperor of Mankind?

Grimy waifu

OP's creating more threads than game critics after videogamedunkey's video

Anyway, my answer is no. I barely have any money to buy clothes, literally. My character's more like a beggar than a warlord tbh

Besides, I can't consider someone a "warlord" when they're riding an Oppressor while screaming on their mic with their prepubescent voice. It's quite unrealistic, don't you think?

Voted no. IMO We're just effective tools, opportunists who take the limited opportunities from the strangers who call & text us repeatedly. We're basically comparable to the people who read spam irl about others making insane amounts of cash sitting at home and bite the bait by spending all their hard earned money to make some quick cash.

Wařlords control people, they don't deliver cargo or do their own resupplies... and they certainly wouldn't allow their assistant to provide the entire world with the location of their products the moment they pick it up.

IMO If we were warlords our office floor would be littered with decapitated heads at this point, not cash.

My character is a lone wolf.

A vehicle with a mounted weapon is about as useful to her as a vehicle without a mounted weapon. She is NOT a warlord.

Would a warlord effortlessly be able to move $1,050,000 of stock from Farmhouse Bunker to Los Santos without being destroyed? HELL YES.

Can my character? HELL NO.

Does a warlord let a punk like LJT boss them around? HELL NO.

Does my character? ALL THE TIME.

Does a warlord have their businesses raided by police every time she takes the helm at the MC? HELL NO.

Does my character? ALL THE TIME.

Does a warlord spend $75k on supplies at a Document Forgery business to only get $70k of product to deliver to Los Santos? HELL NO.

Does my character? ONE TIME. And that was ONE TOO MANY TIMES.

Does a warlord hand-deliver their vehicle cargo to the customer, then give discounts based on the damage received during transportation? HELL NO.

Does my character? EVERY TIME. SHE'S A CRIMINAL, NOT FEDEX - STOP GIVING DISCOUNTS. IT'S THE COST OF DOING BUSINESS.

Does a warlord have their Special Cargo Crates hand-delivered? YOU'D HOPE SO!

Does my character? NO. SHE HAS TO PAY FOR THEM, THEN PICK THEM UP. AND EVERY TIME SOME NPC HAS STOLEN THEM ALREADY.

Whichever way you slice it, my character in particular is no warlord. She's a pawn in someone else's game.

... but she has a pretty car collection.

I consider my character as a agent of a foreign state in America. I accumulate funds for operations and await orders, until then, i proceed at my discretion.

Warlord?) Oh no :)
I didn't even buy the bunker :D

I'm a businessman, millionaire who has recently bought 4 classic cars: two grotti and two pegassi, who is waiting for opening the casino and Bahama Mamas... I'm a peaceful guardian :)

In theory, at least - it's just that some options are harder than others. Street racers are basically in the position bikers were pre-Bikers - a pretty thin vehicle selection (worse, even), particularly on the tuner front, and it's not impossible for R* to make some kind of car-themed business for Freemode, rather than just 'doing races'. Import/Export was a bit of a missed opportunity, IMO - should have been a separate thing, rather than an extension of CEO work that requires an office first.

That's the other thing - you can't get rid of offices, bunkers, clubhouses, etc. once you own them, so if you really want to go all-in and actually define what you do/are in GTAO, you might well have to shut yourself out of a lot of Freemode gameplay and newer content. Either that, or everyone's just a 'CEO MC president government-sanctioned weapons-dealer car repo guy' amalgamation, driving around in a van one minute, then a flying rocket bike the next. Yanno, as you do. :turn:

Me, I say 'screw it' to all the CEO/MC/gunrunning/etc. stuff - it's not what I'm interested in, so I'm not bothering until R* adds something that actually fits my interests. Instead, I'm happy sticking with being a hired gun for whichever colourful eccentric is on the phone at any given time (

;)). Worked out well enough for this guy, after all:

I am not really a warlord but a war dog that sells arms to the highest bidder. My ally is the all mighty dollar. I sell to any side as long as the price is right. All these so called criminals all reject the notion of warlord status until they call a guy like me to facilitate their supplies.

Yes our characters have evolved from a life of street crime to organised crime but we are far from having military, economic, and political control over Los Santos. Until we can undertake some kind of racketeering and increase our org members that's unlikely to change.

Killer Whale

I consider my character a successful businessman. There's barely any competition out there that disrupts his transactions and the money flow, thus, profiting like crazy. He knows the right people to talk with to halt others from interrupting his sales. Agent 14 even seemed mildly impressed by the connections he has.

With all honesty, GTA Online doesn't really provide the proper tools for one to become a true warlord.

I would only consider one to be a warlord if they are able to fill a session with at least 10 people that would be constantly on his side, but good luck getting something like that done when most would prefer to take power into their own hands.

Warlord is in no way a childish word, it is used to describe a certain type of person. Just cause you see the name in games, doesn't mean it's childish.

Well, basically yes. R* are offering us all the "high-tech" weaponry and armed vehicles. Guess, that makes a player warlord in some way.
Personally for me, i own only Half-Track, so im not really a warlord or something.

In RP part... Does being a PF co-founder makes you a warlord?
