My game constantly kicks me

I've had two different ps4s and I have always had toruble with gta. I can go days where it works fine and then there are times where I can do jack out of fear of getting kicked. I'm hard wired on a connection of about 34-35 Mbps down.

I'm getting pretty frustrated because this is the only game that it happens on, I am afraid to take on any big jobs for the fear of getting dropped.

When it happens, it will say to whoever I'm in game with that I left and I see everyone in the lobby leave then I am alone.

 

Not sure what it is as like I stated before it's happened on numerous ps4's that I have. Could be a saved file issue with the cloud? I may make a second character to see if it happens on that one.

 

Any suggestions or input would be greatly valued and appreciated.

Sounds more like something to do with your internet connection that'll your PlayStation

 

Tried port forwarding or creating a static ip and making a DMZ on your modem?

Bandwidth speed is not indicative of network quality, you should speak to your isp asap.

I just threw that in so people wouldn't assume I have scrub internet. If happened for multiple games I would believe this but gta is the only one.

Then contact rockstar support.

When you're done playing do you exit the game completely or do you just turn off the console leaving the game in suspension mode?

 

If you're leaving it in suspension mode then that is most likely you're issue bc when you turn on your console the game picks up where it left off & is trying to use the same doors to go online as it used in the previous sessions.

 

The only way to prevent this is by exiting the game complexly not just going to the home screen before turning off your console

 

So a full shut down of your console then turn it back on & you shouldn't have anymore issues & remember to exit the game don't just close it

Honestly, I think most of the time I do just go rest mode. Usually when I start the game back up I get a game suspended because something message. Never considers this being an issue.

Can I close out the game and still go to rest mode and be ok?

Yeah, As long as you exit the game completely before putting it in rest mode.

 

Hold the PS Button in until you get the option to exit the game completely once the game closes and you're on the home screen then you can put the console in rest mode

 

The game getting suspended because you got a msg from someone isn't causing it, It's when you shut the console off without exiting the game completely.

Gotcha. Thanks for the tip, I will try this an hope it fixes it. Is basically my sessions getting confused about which one and then I get booted?

Let me put it this way when you go online your game is basically going though a door so when you go though an open door you'll have a good connection but when you put it in suspension mode you go offline but the game doesn't know that so when you try and go back online the game tries to go though the same door but now it's closed and locked and you don't have the keys to get in the only way though is a doogy door so the game squeezes though the doogy door to get online but it's too fat and can't fit all the way though.

 

So when you do it correctly by closing the game completely before shutting down the game more or less refreshes itself and now has the correct key to open the door to go though.

 

This is a common issue with XB1 & PS4 both it took me a while to figure out my issue when i played on XB1 i used to have to do a hard restart in order to get online in a populated lobby
