Happy Holidays from the GTANet team!

Do you think we'll ever see a flamethrower in a HD GTA?

I always loved the flamethrower in older GTA games, and was sad to see neither GTA IV nor GTA V had one. Molotovs are kinda cool but it's not the same. Do you think a future mainline GTA game will have one? Or did Rockstar just give up on this weapon?

I greatly concur that the Flamethrower in the 2D GTAs (2 especially), III, VC and SA was extremely fun. I greatly wish the flamethrower would make a

return, but it's highly unlikely. Besides, I've always thought it illogical how V gets away with having a rail gun but yet flamethrowers make no sense to

Rockstar now. :dontgetit:

Fire! Fire! Fire! Trevor with a flamethrower would be fun rampages.

Can't even buy molotoves at Ammunation in gta 5. For online i have a gta style race created with free molotoves and other throwables.

Flamethrowers, like chainsaws and decapitating katanas, may never return to gta.

The Machete was introduced in gta 5, so there is still hope for the Katana and Machete in gta 6

We've seen a portable Railgun, I think a flamethrower won't be that hard to imagine.

If we got a railgun, we could probably get the return of the flamethrower.

i would like to see the flamethrower. it was a fun weapon. in gta 4 we complained that there was only 1 heavy weapon. just the rocket launcher. now in gta 5 we have the rpg. grenade launcher and a minigun. and i remember seeing a lot of people want the minigun in gta 4 and we finally got it. i hope we do see the flamethrower again soon.

We've already seen it once, in HD universe. Can't remember the exact mission name but it was some go-destroy-the-rival's-sh*t mission in Chinatown Wars where you picked up a flamethrower and burnt everything and everybody.

I hope so I would imagine burning enemies & peds to a crisp in First Person would be rather beautiful. :inlove:

I wouldn't mind this and the chainsaw to return.

I don't mind having them.

If Rockstar is planning to bring them back, they need to make sure that it's a proper backpack flamethrower, instead of the crappy 3D universe ones which looked like someone had shoved a cylinder into a M2 Browning machine gun.

It would be cool if it was a backpack one.

I'd also like a flamethrower which looks like it was assembled form everyday objects like a few tubes, gun barrels and fuel canisters and not some militaristic bullsh*t like 99% of GTA V's guns.

I would also like to see decapitation make a return.

I don't even know why it was removed in the first place. GTA definitely needs more gore and violence.

To some extent yes. Shooting someone in the head with a pistol won't make their head explode or their arm fall off, but someone staying intact after being hit by a truck at highway speeds also wouldn't happen easily.

It would be a bit grim, but I guess they can. I mean we can still mow down 100s of people with a minigun in front of the oriental theater.

Still canon, if you think it isn't.

A good number of the events of GTA 1 are high-profile, and yet they're not mentioned in GTA 2. Liberty City Stories and III completely ignore CJ's exploits in San Andreas, as if nothing happened back in 1992.

(I'm inclined to think that what happened in San Andreas is somewhat relevant to the events of LCS). As for IV's 2008 and CTW's 2009? A lot can happen within one year.

Algonquin Assassin

I've never understood the hate for CTW. Even if isn't directly faithful to GTA IV/EFLC it's still a really good game.

Some innovations it introduced like weapon crafting (as in being able to make your own moltovs) and the drug dealing side operation I'd like to see incorporated into a HD title.

I like how it blended the lines of the series' roots whilst being different and unique in its own way.
