What are your Goals in GTA online?

I used to play an older game where I was number 2 in the world in melee kills(over 50k) and my total player kills were over 300k.

So yeah I do kind of like to see that.

To own everything in the game using legit money, to the point where I can't buy anything without selling something else. Should be there next week!

I ran out of goals except for gaining all awards (close but now have boring ones left).

 

Original goal, get to rank 120 and fill the 10 car garage - stopped playing before achieving that.

 

Returned and the goal changed to becoming a higher rank than my friends who had been playing and nagging me to come back. Achieved that.

 

Then it changed to being double the rank of the friend who was the same rank as me when I come back - exceeded that.

 

Gain all awards, most done (including the ones you cannot get now).

 

Side goal - CMM (goes with awards). Achieved that.

 

Hit rank 400 - hit that

Hit rank 500 - hit that

Hit rank 600 - hit that

 

Now I have few goals let, few things left to do hence the reduced play.

Making servers peaceful by counter-griefing the tryhard passive-popping sh*tters who only target CEOs and MCs for easy kills, but I gave up that goal after Gunrunning dropped because Sharkstar Lames made it impossible to accomplish due to their pandering of said tryhards.

 

I just drive around and see whatever stupid sh*t people get into, nothing else is amusing for me.

My goal now is to get to level 300, im 244 right now. I am also working on building my crew I started and then I guess my final goal is to just have fun.

Just to have a good time, it's a sandbox so I'm going with the flow. When I'm loading invite only from the SP, I barely have a plan what to do. Who knows? Just drive around or customize my cars, do some missions or CEO jobs. Source a car or two, jump into some heist. When my mates are on, we're usually running private DMs against each other or small races, then one of us is going solo public and we're selling goods.

 

@Sas Intruder: I feel you. But don't sell PS4, just work on your willpower mate. Eventually, you will want to play from time to time and it's better to have this option open. Thing is, the longer your breaks are, the more rewarding the game is.

 

Ranks and challenges are not bothering me. Probably, I'm rank 900 combined from 360 to PC (missed transfer by a month) and I've done more CMMs than I ever wanted.

I, as well as most that'll post here, have done everything in the OP and then some. Where does it end? Perhaps it doesn't. Perhaps our players will continue their journey through each subsequent rendition of gta and its online component. One can only speculate at end-game content. My goal is just to enjoy this brilliant game. It's a masterpiece.

None. I'm already where I want to be. If I have any goals it's more photoshoots and car testing, kinda like how I enjoyed V on last-gen back in 2015. All of the grinding, leveling up, money, etc. Done. And I'd rather forget about it.

Get my girl to level 120 for the minigun. Will get that as soon as I renew my Xbox live gold

Get my girl to level 200

Get my girl an Osiris, Tank, Hydra, weaponized Tampa, biker clubhouse, upgrade to the Arcadius business office and get the office garages

Get all research done

Get all chrome wheels for free

Complete all gang attacks if I haven't already

Maybe get my guy to level 250

Maybe complete all stunt jumps. I did it in SP and some of them were a real pain but I'd still like to do it

It's not really a goal but I do want to get the last few achievements one day

 

I think another reason I quit playing before was because I had no goals and I didn't know what to do in the game but since I came back and decided I wanted all that I'm having fun again

Good question... I can't answer it... My main goal was hitting 100million in the bank. I almost got there. Then gunrunning happened and now I cut that down to 50 again... I ain't grinding again, so I think I'm just gonna surf on the remaining money I have, try to get some money here and there and hope for the best...

 

So my goal, is trying to have fun, instead of just chasing money, ehhe... Then again, I had the most fun to date by just chasing money, so.. :-)

Gameplay wise I have no goals. I own everything I want and the notion that there will be anything for me to spend my cash on in the future is laughable at this point. If I make 100k a day I am happy with that.

See, that's my only goal in GTAO at the moment: stick with it long enough that law of averages kicks in, and this actually changes.

 

R*'s been locking me out of new gameplay, giving me the finger by passing over things I enjoy, and methodically chipping away at my Snapmatic game - I've always been someone who didn't need much to 'make my own fun', so it's more than a little frustrating that they constantly overlook small things in favour of flashy gimmicks.

 

At this rate, I'm giving myself until the end of the year (two more updates, most likely), and then taking a step back from GTAO if things don't change (or show any signs of changing) - any longer, and I'm just wasting time I could spare on other things, with less disappointment. Unless, of course, things actually do improve - in which case I'm back in for the long haul, like the good old days.

Best way to get the golden penguin on your bouncy table is employ the diehard low ranks and do 2 crate runs, if you get a good team together its a blast and they're funny to watch as they learn the ropes
