DrolaxGaming
I get this error whenever i try to save the game in gta sa. It started happening after i installed samp and it still happens after uninstalling samp. I tried deleting mods, reinstalling the game, compatibility mode, new save slots, new game; no use... I tried deleting some stuff in the registry (i probably missed some) and even that didn't work I tried "fixes" for this problem, still doesn't work... Can anybody help me with this? Thanks. guard3
Reinstall SA. Maybe it has some problem with "permissions" and windows doesn't allow it to write to documents folder for some reason. BliTz47
DrolaxGaming
I already tried those
guard3
Then the save file may be corrupted. Delete SA user files folder from documents folder and try making a new save. Let's see if the problem is with any save file. Also, maybe a pic of the error? If not delete, make a backup Edited July 30, 2017 by guard3
DrolaxGaming
I tried that as well...
DragonSC7601
What is your OS?
guard3
Then your antivirus blocks it. Or do you like to live dangerously? I had installed, for example, Bitdefender trial, and that "Ransomware Protection" blocked every single GTA tool on my computer! Your case may be something similar. Does that error appear in game, or through a different pop-up window? Pic? Edited July 30, 2017 by guard3
DragonSC7601
Then your antivirus blocks it. Or do you like to live dangerously? I'm using Windows XP without any antivirus(they're sucks) software. Because nobody cares that OS anymore And oldiness of my system too. I'm not in danger, I'm the danger.
DrolaxGaming
Windows 10. It used to work fine. I even formatted the damn pc. Nothing is working. DrolaxGaming
I REALLY want to play this game too, it was my childhood man. Looks like It's never gonna save
guard3
Even when disabling av? Doesn't it have a "quarantine" or log of deleted files? Pic of the error?
DrolaxGaming
No, its not the av. For the pic, its not really neccesary as it just says Save failed! There was an error while saving the current game. Please check your savegame directory and try again.
guard3
Hmm... Doesn't SA have a feature that allows you to save snapshots from the camera? Could you try taking some pics? Then see where are they saved. If the game has trouble writing files on your PC, it may also not save pictures. I'd like to see where are they saved to check the folder properties... Anyway, they should be in C:\Users\[uSERNAME_HERE]\Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files\Gallery or C:\Users\[uSERNAME_HERE]\Documents\GTA User Files\GTA San Andreas User Files\Gallery You may need to check the folder properties Edited August 1, 2017 by guard3
DrolaxGaming
You are onto something there. The snapshots don't save.

DragonSC7601
Did you tried to disable UAC? And can you run with Windows 98 compatibility mode? Is your game CD version or Steam version? Edited August 2, 2017 by DragonSC
guard3
Did you tried to disable UAC? I think @Silent is your hero in this case, haha! Try SilentPatch, which resolves many issues and mentions something about user files. Definately check it out. You will need an ASI loader for this, get one from here Edited August 2, 2017 by guard3
DrolaxGaming
I already have SilentPatch. It's CD Version. I can run with 98 compatibility but it still won't save. I'll try disabling the UAC. Edited August 3, 2017 by DrolaxGaming
DrolaxGaming
The UAC is already disabled... It's a pirated version though.
