I'm getting sick of being trash Talked on GTA online PS4.

Hello! This is my first ever GTA game I ever own on my gaming system. However, I've been struggling on aiming on other players, shooting them with sniper which doesn't 1 shot them. Is there even something for it to help me prevent on not getting trash talked on GTA online? This is pretty horrible for me because I'm a noob on GTA and this is my first ever gta. Any tips?

GTA has one of the worst playerbase when it comes to finding decent people.If you wanna continue playing the game without hating it,you must find decent people to play with.

Regular sniper rifle is weak you need Heavy Sniper,even that doesn't one shot people with bulletproof helmet.

 

There are several options.

You can ignore them.

You can turn off all voicechat from interaction menu.At least in lobbies i think you can do that.

Try PC version if you have the option,overall quality of people is higher.Plus,you can properly chat in-game,without kids screaming into your ears.

 

The best option is; find an active,helpful crew,there are plently. Join crew sessions, hang out with those people.You can earn money while helping them and experience different aspects of the game.

I'm not talking about the 3letter crews by the way like IGN,stay away from those plaguelands.

Practice bro. Killing the trash talkers is about the most fun you can have in gta :oD

As mentioned you could use the interaction menu & set voice chat to friends & crew, it works everywhere not just lobbies.

 

If its just the occasional player bugging you, press start to bring up game menu, go to online, click players, click on player bugging you, select mute.

 

As for shooting, if you aren't good don't tangle with more experienced players who have better weapons & tougher characters. Go play contact missions & they will let you practice the basics & get you money and RP

Party is my choice. Interaction menu can't stop the blah blah while in the cloud.

On PC a lot more modders are active for one, so that's a pain. You don't have that problem on PS4..

Good thing to do is practice your gameplay with coop stuff like the missions and heists, get familiar with your weaponry, level up so you can buy better weapons, buy office and vehicle warehouse so you can earn cash with Import/export.

Dickin' around shooting random ppl with a sniper rifle won't help if you don't want kids squeeking in your ears...

I've played on both systems,also played different games.I can confirm at this point people who play on PC are more involved and mature than console players.I'm not saying that to bash consoles,that's just the way it is.Consoles are more accessible,that could be one of the reasons.Gamers on consoles are more young.

 

If you haven't read my post,i recommended joining a decent crew.If you hang around in random lobbies,mods or no mods you're not gonna have a great time unless you're one of those who enjoy bringing down havoc on randoms in a Hydra.

 

Mods positives outweigh their negatives, i'm not gonna list everything here.Why do you think people lost their sh*t when Take2 decided mods are illegal ? And OpenIV isn't even an Online modding tool.

You sir is right, This is why GTA Youtubers own PC other then console. To be real with you, most people on GTA 5 console is very rude other then the PC. I may be working hard to get money and try to save up for a gaming PC.

Thank you for giving a good tip. I'm a try to remove the silent suppressor on my G36 known as the special carbine. I'm not really used to GTA online first person.

 

Thank you guys for understanding me that getting trash talked is way horrible, I'm a try to practice my aiming more on console which is going to be a goal on GTA online as sooner enough. When I've got the skills to do so, i'm a prove them wrong/ Thanks guys for understanding me! As a person whose first ever GTA game that I own, I never though I got to experience this all BS trash talked thing. God, It's really annoying. Once again! thanks!

Best advice anyone can give you....

 

Set your chat to No-One and then crank up the tunes on spotify and jam out

I'm on PS4 too. I find all the trash talking funny. What I don't like is the 15-17 yr olds who find it necessary to scream over and over (I like to nay nay!!!!)

Two options I have found:

1. Kill that f*cker. It won't get them to shut up but at least they'll say something else.

2. Set chat audio to no-one. If they're not in a group with you then you don't need to hear what they're saying anyway.

You can go to the interaction menu by holding down the select button ( I play xbox so idk) scrolling down to voice chat and you can switch it to crew and friends. Hope I helped out.

I don't even mind the trash talk, what I really can't stand is people that think the lobby wants to listen to their awful music all distorted or the black guys that call each other ni**ers 400 times a minute

Silliness aside, if they trash talk, as many have suggested, mute them or set chat to no one. At the end of the day they end up being the idiots who are essentially talking to themselves as no one is listening
