Can't play Crazy Machines 2

I just bought Crazy Machines 2 from ebay. I've put the CD in, and I installed the game. However, when I try to play it, I got a message saying that I need the US CD to play. I tried using a serial code, ejecting and putting the disc back in, uninstalling and reinstalling, and restarting computer. I also downloaded Steam and bought the game, but it won't work either. Any help so I can play Crazy Machines 2?
