Buying and Selling

GTA5 is by far the best game ive ever played. So good infact that i even bought it first on the 360 and on ps4 also. My only gripe is that the only things you can sell are vehicles. You can buy guns, clothes, apartments, motorcycle club. factories, offices yet the only thing you can sell are vehicles? Why? Because rockstar dont want you to make money from selling stuff because then you would buy less shark cards. Simple as that...

 

I have had one apartment since the game came out. Eclipse towers. I only ever wanted one. Now i have some other flea bitten apartment as well. I didnt buy it yet there it is. I cant give it away let alone sell it. Sure I can swap it for another apartment and lose some money in the process. But i dont care about the money i just want ONE and only ONE apartment. Ive contacted rockstar support and they just say "We cant do refunds", im sure they could they just wont because as i have already explained they dont want you making money from selling things. Im surprised they let you even sell vehicles tbh. Its ruthless and greedy but i understand the reasoning. But ive explained to them i dont want a refund, i dont want any money for it, i just want to get rid of it. Delete it from my account. I shouldnt be forced to have 2 apartments for evermore.

Ive bought that biker club and factories. I would love to sell em and get at least some money back even a pitiful amount better than nothing. But i know i cant sell them but i should at least have the option to delete/remove them if i so want.

 

I personally wont be playing gta5 online again unless i have the right to if not sell at least delete items i buy. Shame really as apart from this i think the game is superb

How did you get an apartment without buying it?

 

I'm still in the first high end apartment I bought, Richards Majestic. Outside the usual warzone, enough that I never have problems entering or leaving. Yet close to all amenities. And the best views of any apartment IMO, on the one side I look onto the golf course, on the other I have a clear view down to Vespucci beach & the pier all lit up at night.

 

I would love to change the interior, but R* didn't think to add that option for the older apartments. The places where you can do that, well, the views aren't as good nor the locations, so I will stick wit Ricard's....unless they finally let us buy mansions, or that house near the lighthouse, I would love to buy that place.

 

I mothballed my biker business, it was fun to run a weed farm for a while, and I got some good pictures from it. But grinding to get the place to pay for itself & then turn a profit burned me out. Profits aren't good enough buying supplies to warrant keeping it open. So I would like to sell that.

 

My clubhouse, well I like that, it saves me using up storage in my main garages on my bikes. It looks cool. I still like doing the biker contracts from time to time. And it's a safehouse on the Alamo sea, so I treat it as a second home. I like Blaine, although I liked it better before gunrunning when it was quieter.

 

So I agree people should be able to sell warehouses, businesses, apartments they don't use. I guess I'm lucky in that the only property I own that I would like to sell, is that weed farm though.

I think certain people got an appartment for free under certain conditions back when the game first started ?

Not completely sure about that though tbh.
