You quoted this on another thread:

"There were also things that we wanted to correct with the [GTA V] remaster version, but that we could not do because the structure and the base were defined and it was impossible to return to it. I am thinking in particular of the AI of the Police or the whole traffic system, things like that" - Rob Nelson

I seem to have missed that interview back then, really glad to see Rob acknowledge those major gripes

Wish some of those people would work on a new Midnight Club title :p

Also crazy to think R* has that many employees now. IV had something like 200 people on its team I think, and V had nearly 1000? I can only imagine VI’s size.

About 1000 people worked on GTA IV as far as I can remember.

Speaking to

The Times Online Benzies said more than 1000 people worked on the game during its three-and-a-half year development.

It took Rockstar 3,5 year to develop GTA IV, 5 years to make GTA V for the same console generation and GTA VI is already in development since 5 years at least including pre-production phase of course.

He's really smart guy, otherwise he wouldn't become one of the most important person at Rockstar Games and technically he is now producer of Grand Theft Auto along with Sam and Dan.

The new Benzies,

(when VI comes out he might prove to be better than Leslie)

Hopefully the Housers don't throw him out too

Spoiler

it ain't show friends,  it's show business

He seems to be really focused on believable world (one of the things we love GTA for) and great singleplayer experience, so yeah, he might be better than Leslie with all respect to him for every single GTA since GTA III :)

200 x 5 is 1000

So 1000 workers x 5 is 5000 workers

Yet they Haven't tease sh*t

HOW'S ANNIE?

Then again it could just mean that R* North don't want the same poster outside their offices for another 2- years. Plus, VI isn't announced yet, no way they'd have final artwork in place for a yet-to-be announced game.

Then again the article does mention that the V trio were on display beforehand. Were those artworks still up until the day they put the RDR 2 artwork on display?

Announcement soon? :sigh:

But yeah, probably meaningless for the time being at least.

I stand corrected then, thank you for that link.

red-dead-redemption-2-posted-removed-gta

Ok, this is definitely interesting ... why remove it now when many folk expect a PC version of the game coming soon???

Could this be a new, unique way of teasing an upcoming game (Bully 2???) ... so unlike GTAV's and RDR2's twitter/website teases, this time they put up a poster with an artwork of their upcoming game there followed by a newswire article shortly after???

It could be for Bully 2 or they simply wanted to remove it. We'll see in few days, I guess.

This is one thing I want to know. Maybe there’s a way someone could pull up an older version of Google maps and see if what you’re implying is the case. That can only work if the area where the offices are located gets Google Map coverage a lot though.

Next up: Gun sounds were heard close to R* North's office in Edinburgh. Could this be the start of a viral marketing campaign for Grand Theft Auto VI?

lol, next level advertising. 😂 I'm not sure if it'd be successful though.

@HOW'S ANNIE? @Chrome Zentorno The GTAV poster was located on another spot ... but I'm afraid I'm not sure when that has been removed ... it'd be interesting to know whether it was removed BEFORE the PC/next-gen versions of the game or after the release of them.

Interesting development ... apparently GTAV was still showcased at the R* North office back in November 2014 ... days before the release of the PS4 and Xbox One version!!! This time however they used a different artwork!

Now obviously that all could mean nothing but it leads me to believe that something big is coming!

@Zello Whatever Rockstar's next game will be, whether it's Bully 2, GTA VI or even something completely different ... I sure can't wait for the crazy pre-release time, full of info drought periods, full of anticipation, full of laughter, full of disappointment, ... yeah, that's always the most amazing time!

Yeah but the team behind the MC games isn't with R* anymore :/ (or something along those lines, might've just been the heads), hence MC probably never coming back.

Friendly reminder that Bully sold merely 2,56m copies physically (across all platforms), add about 0.5m copies sold digitally on PC, but that's a very optimistic view, you'd get just a litle over 3m copies. I believe it's the worst financial result for R* Games titles ever, at least since GTA III, correct me if I'm wrong. Even Vice City STORIES sold over 5m copies on PSP alone, not counting PS2 (1m), PS3 and the bundle pack with LCS. Remind me again, why are people still hoping for Bully 2 to be released as the next game, in times where making a game takes the longest in history and would be a waste of money, time and resources for R*?
