Do we know of any actors working on the next game as of now? I seem to recall people successfully leaking some actor names for V before we knew who they were.

Stuntman Tim Neff and actor Jorge Consejo. However, Jorge Consejo is suspicious... at least in my opinion. It's all in this thread. Would be cool if the first page made note of it all. I did something similar in my analyzing the past thread.

GTA VI is gonna be 200 GB, trust me my sister works at Rockstar Antartica

Given that RDR2 is 100 GB, give or take, I cannot see VI being less than 300GB. Next-gen, 4K textures everywhere, a very large load of soundtracks and sound effects, and so on.

Really begs the question, what will the capacity of next gen hard drives be? We know they'll be using SSDs which are still pretty expensive. Although, from what I read in that wired article, they kinda' implied it was a new hybrid SSD hard drive, although I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to technical things like that.

My 512GB SSD was £188. a 2TB SSD is £445~. Although I know console manufactures build in bulk, and have special deals. But still. Quite interesting.

1TB at least. It won't be SSD you can now buy on the market, it will be more "proprietary" tech so it will be cheaper because it will be usable only in PS5.

I think it’s gonna be a hybrid like system. Sony’s SSD is reportedly custom so that should drive costs down but I’m thinking it’s gonna be irremovable while you’ll be able to use a HDD that removable strictly for storage only.

Why? Many GTA fans want to revisit Vice City and PS5/Project Scarlett will be way, way more powerful than PS2. Even if it will be set in 80s there will be huge difference between Vice City and GTA VI just like there is huge difference between San Andreas and GTA V. There is also big difference between Los Angeles and Miami, they are vastly different cities. Not to mention this.

Ding, ding. That's the project they are talking about since a long, long time and I believe, that they will start this project with GTA VI: Online. With all the power PS5 will have it will be finally possible.

It’s true that San Andreas and 5 feel

vastly different. They take place in different time periods, culture changed a lot between the times both games took place. Even if a GTA 6 in Vice City takes place in the 80s it would still feel vastly different from Vice City simply because of the graphics.

Red Dead Redemption 2-a current console game-is a night and day difference on graphical quality compared to GTA 5. Back in 2013 GTA 5 was a graphical feat with vastly improved textures, models, and animations from GTA 4, all on the same limited hardware. Plus while the original Red Dead Redemption contained good-looking skies GTA 5 may have been a pioneer in games with skies and environments so beautiful with what I call stylized realism that you’d take actual pictures because at times the environments looked so gorgeous it was aesthetical. To this day GTA 5 still looks beautiful while GTA 4’s color palette and basic skies almost are a mockery to real life beauty that Red Dead Redemption 2 beautifully captures (GTA 4 was great, yes, but the RAGE engine just wasn’t quite there to make a gritty environment that also has beauty as well and great sunlight reflections.) GTA 5 will still look good thirty years from now but it’s getting outdated in the sense that while it will always look beautiful it’s looking less and less realistic as time goes on. Red Dead Redemption 2 takes GTA 5’s graphics philosophies and improves them to the point where GTA 5 looks somewhat cartoonish in comparison.

I think with games like Red Dead Redemption 2 the next step is simply things like ray tracing and more environmental details, and I expect GTA 6 even on next gen hardware to be pretty similar in graphical quality. There isn’t really much to improve from late-gen PS4 and Xbox One graphics, just more leaves on trees. Also with a city environment GTA 6 is going to have way more things to render.

Lighting still needs a lot of improvement if we talk about graphics, particle effects (fire) also. With all these years of development, Rockstar's amazing art team, next-gen consoles and latest version of RAGE we can be sure, that we will get some stunning visuals in GTA VI.

Good luck, it takes 2 PBs on Microsoft's hard drives :D I'm surprised, that they want to release it on Xbox One, they have to have some wizards on board or it will look like sh*t or it will be streaming only title on Xbox One, I can't see any other option. Let's just wait for PlayStation Meeting and then we will know what we can expect from next-gen GTA VI in terms of visuals.

A sneak peek into next-gen vistas? I expect VI to match that and beyond!

Flight Sim guy here, I can't wait for MFS to release.
Hope GTA VI is similar.

Redemption 2 has a similar volumetric cloud tech, but MS's Flight Simulator takes it to a higher level. With the current-gen Redemption in mind, one can see the next-gen VI matching this level at least.

in short..,

let's avoid jumping into too many conclusions based on words that the head people say..,

it could mean anything and nothing..,

one thing for sure ima need to catch up with all this hardware and visual stuff later.., it'll be a nice read.., since that is something that can actually be speculated on.., sorry for confusion..,

Most likely H13, indeed.

It's amusing how people still confuse 2K for Take Two.

Hangar 13? May be Mafia 4 or a similar open world game. 2K is owned by Take Two like Rockstar but not affiliated with Rockstar I’m pretty sure.

They should stop with Mafia, they completely butchered it with Mafia III.

Mafia II feels like it was released after Mafia III.

Mafia 3’s world was good but the story was just too long and not very action packed. As this casting call is for 2K and not Take Two or Rockstar I think we can disregard it for now.

My problem with Mafia 3 was the gameplay all you did was takeover districts that got repetitive very quickly instead of the traditional way of doing missions for people.

Didnt help that Lincoln didn't feel like a mobster or a Mob boss like the game marketing did.

I forced myself to finish Mafia 3  the first time I played due how repetitive the game is. It took me like 2 weeks to finish the game. The only game I can think it's as repetitive as Mafia 3 is Ass. Creed 1.

Repetitive, way too repetitive, and missing so many features. I have never played Mafia 2 but watching comparisons made me want to play it so much. I can excuse that, I guess, because it was Hangar 13’s first game. I personally think 2K Czech should’ve gone back to making them but if Hangar 13 can step up their game then I think they should. But still, I love the setting, same with Lemoyne in RDR2. I just want a beautiful southern setting like that someday.

M4 was canned in favor of Rhapsody... then they decided not to do that either and went for a more "run of the mill" super hero version and scraped most of the music mechanics.
Can't be bothered to get into too much details. H13 is run by a bunch of failures and monkeys so don't expect anything good from their new IP.

They made a mistake in hiring Haden Blackman and putting him in charge he had no experience in open world games and the force Unleashed games that he worked on weren't really good at all imo. I'm sure they could have hired some other people out there in the industry, ex R* people looking for a promotion, or maybe just kept 2K Czech in charge.

Matching it and beyond is a bold statement. You've mentioned it plenty of times in the past, the differences between RDR and GTA. Considering all the open world elements, and AI alone. Do you really think GTA ^ could match that AND go beyond it? Sure, I expect next gen consoles to make a huge difference. Even seeing GTA V in Online trailers/PC version looks so much better than current consoles, I would expect it to look better than that. But... dunno, guess I'm not willing to set my expectations on graphics.

There has never been a game on a prior console generation that has looked superior to a next generation title.

I don't know if the next-gen GTA title will match that as we don't have an example of what a typical open-world title will look running on a PS5 platform. Maybe I'm setting my expectations high, and maybe not. We will have to wait and see next year when the console is revealed. However, when you look at Redemption 2, and yes it's a sparse world compared to the busy world of GTA, it already has volumetric clouds and nearly photorealistic environments that are close to matching the quality of the vistas seen in MS's new Flight Simulator title when looking into the distance. The better hardware of PS5 will offset the density and complexity between GTA and RDR, and not only that, it should also provide a large room to improve upon RDR in the busy world of GTA. It'd not be the case if VI is a current-gen title as it will definitely regress in some areas that RDR2 has already excelled in.
