It could be marketing guide written by Sam and Dan Houser. To be honest, I'm not surprised, that Rockstar doesn't want to tell us anything on their upcoming games if they are not 100% sure about it. Take a look at Cyberpunk and CDPR. They announced some things, talked about them and changed numerous of them already.

Does anyone hope we don’t get an unmemorable mission passed sound? Not really a complaint here but many people including myself found V’s mission passed jingle to be very underwhelming when passing a mission. It literally sounded like someone took a hammer to metal or something like that. Hopefully the next GTA delivers a little musical score of sorts after completing certain missions or maybe they’ll cook up something entirely new.

To me Philadelphia just feels like a GTA city.  It's a pretty sh*tty place well the people make it seem like a sh*tty place. Also Camden, NJ is right across the river from it.

People piss on your lawn, crazy sports fans, the wingbowl (It ended recently but went on for a long time and the description of it sounds like something straight out of the GTA Universe)

 

A couple of shows and movies have been set there like the Rocky films along with Creed, and its always Sunny in Philadelphia so people would recognize it.

 

I think making Carcer City Philadelphia would work. I used to think it was Detroit or Chicago but I'd be happy if they made Carcer Philadelphia.

I totally agree with this. I just sparked an idea of the next gta game being set in Philadelphia and have the park and 'Rocky steps' there...it would be so iconic to have the character run up there, especially because not everyone is able to go there in person, like myself. plus it looks so cool there. I am a big Rocky fan.

 

I'm so glad I saw other people saying the same thing as me. I literally had to look it up to see if anyone else thought of it too!

I'm not going to say it's impossible the game's going to be announced in October/November. But wouldnt it take away from the RDR 2 PC hype? After all it's supposed to be their main holiday release for the 2019 right?

 

Plus, GTA VI is almost all but solidified as a next gen game. So(unless it's intended to be a launch title) I can only assume Rockstar will wait until closer to the console's launch or even well after.

They announced GTA IV ~half year after Xbox 360 has been launched. I wouldn't expect any announcement on GTA VI till 2021 if Bully 2 is really next unless R* makes a huge deal with Sony to let them show the game at the conference and say something like "This is what you will get on our new, upcoming console." They would have to be crazy to make GTA VI with PS4/X1 in mind with RDR 2 already struggling to keep stable framerate in Saint Denis and it's just small city. I think, that no one wants GTA V_v2 instead of GTA VI, not even Rockstar. All recently realeased and upcoming titles show one thing, this is end of this console generation lifecycle. They are either blurry, sometimes really blurry or they have unstable frame rate or both. Even Red Dead Redemption 2 looks a little bit bad on Xbox One S/PS4.

Strauss Zelnick was on his way to the Hamptons. It was labor day weekend and he wanted to get away from it all the office, the microtransactions, and the shareholders. He was driving a Mercedes S-Class convertible with the top down. He works too damn much and deserves some time off for himself. He enjoyed the long drive as the wind brushed against his face and two women smiled at him while he was driving, Strauss smiled back at them. Strauss parked the car in the beautiful mansion that he rented out for the weekend. It cost him a pretty penny but It had Ten bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, a tennis court, pool, gym, and a beautiful view of the water.

 

Strauss started unpacking after he was finished he went out to the backyard porch to smoke a cigar. As soon as he sat down ten seconds later Sam Houser tapped his shoulder.

 

"What the hell! I sit down for one second and bam you show up, I can never win with you. What more do you want?"

 

"For the first time It's not a mess that I'm responsible for but it's a mess that you and your ilk have created. I just hope it doesn't stick on me."

 

Sam takes out his phone and shows Strauss a video.

Hi, guys

 

Here are my two cents: 

 

You will need at least 2 years to crack up the numbers of next gen sales, otherwise there is no reason to release a game this big. Money talks. And with the latest rumours, the next consoles will be powerful, that means they will be more expensive, maybe 600 euros. The sale momentum will grow exponentially in time, but a little bit harder than PS4 and Xbos One due to the higher price. Then we have other factors: market projections, inflation ( in 2022 a huge rise in price is globally forecasted). And we know Rockstar will not release a product only because it's finished. They will wait for the perfect market momentum, as they know it will sell like cheesecake.

For me, a late 2022 or 2023 release makes sense. Current gen release of next GTA won't happen due to technical limitations and we know that the PC version will come later on.

Rockstar would be fools not to capitalise more of current gen consoles sales with a 100 million PS4's and at least 40 million Xbox consoles. A late 2020 release does actually make a lot of sense, meaning Bully 2, as that will probably create a lot of hype and it's their most loved IP after GTA and Red Dead. With the latest rumours that can happen. I am actually expecting a trailer for it in the next month. I sincerely doubt that will get a GTA 6 trailer any soon.

But that's just my opinion.
