SecuroServ vs. SecuroServ Franchisee

  1. 1. Should the Interaction menu SecuroServ CEO/VIP be changed to Organization CEO/VIP?

    • No, leave it the way it is.

    • Yes, it's misleading and false advertisement. We don't own the SecuroServ company.

    • I don't really care either way.

    • I like thinking of myself as the SecuroServ equivalent to Merryweather's Don Percival.

You know, when we open the Interaction Menu, the first thing we see is SecuroServ CEO.

Well, in case you didn't know, we're "A" SecuroServ CEO, not "THE" SecuroServ CEO. To me, that's false advertising.

As CEO of your Organization, we're the equivalent of a Franchise Owner as opposed to the Big Cheese of SecuroServ, which is what you would think by seeing the menu.

When it lists us as SecuroServ CEO, it would have you think that we're the equivalent to Merryweather CEO Don Percival, the OWNER of the Multi-Billion Dollar Business

"Merryweather is a private military and security company with over $10 billion of taxpayer's money in US government contracts to its name."

Donpercival.jpgWe're not equal to this guy. Not even close.......yet.

With that being said, should the Interaction Menu be Changed to have it say "Organization CEO" and "Organization VIP" instead? Do you consider it false advertisement, or do you already take it as being "A" SecuroServ CEO, not "THE" SecuroServ in the first place?

The entire interaction menu is a mess. Being able to start missions without any context from a glorified debug menu is such poor design.

CEO doesn't mean owner

Correct. Also, most CEOs do answer to a board of directors and/or the majority stockholders of their company. I'd even guess that most real CEOs of larger corporations are not the sole owners; though they may or may not hold a majority of the company's stock if the company is public.

You would be the CEO of 'Blah Blah' or whatever organisation, not SecuroServ. Try to think of SecuroServ as the company that offers certain services and abilities to YOUR company. Though it's not like owning a franchise; as I said, it's more like a much larger company (SecuroServ) providing services to smaller companies such as your own.

This is a little out there, OP; I can't say I've even thought about any of this for a second. :p I honestly could not care less about what the menu says; there are far more serious issues within the game!

We don't own a franchise of SecuroServ, we are just paid contractors of them, and SecuroServ is our biggest client.

The only thing we own, is our own, small time organization that works as a paid contractor for them. Nothing more, nothing less.

In short, we are just the middle man.

We, effectively being the owner of a company like Dom Percival? I find that very hard to believe in, to be honest.

BTW I voted yes, but I couldn't really give less of a f*ck about it.

I don't like changing things I like so, no.

If you mean only the text in the menu then it's w/e, I never really pay attention to that or don't care.

If I have to go drive a 5h1tty a55 van from East LS all the way to Senora Desert to collect supplies while researchers are researching a paint scheme, then it means I'm the b1tch.

Pretty much this. SecuroServ itself isn't a big problem, the bigger thing is the interaction menu, which is cluttered beyond belief. Yes, R* could change the name, but it wouldn't serve any practical purpose in the long run, and most importantly, wouldn't improve terribly designed menu, which I'd love to see being reorganized. Certain options should be placed elsewhere, some should definitely be hidden for players who don't have necessary status/required items. For instance, the M.O.C. - why would I want to see it in my interaction menu if I didn't bother wasting my money on it, and a bunker necessary to store it to begin with? That's a problem, and as for naming, I truly couldn't care less.

We own a company that buys services from securo. We own the office, warehouse, bunker, and we run them accordingly as a CEO. Securo offers contracts, and I am assuming takets a cut of the action. Securo offers services, most times for a fee, but some only require an upfront cost. Securo pay our workers as they act as a temp hiring service. Normally, we would have to pay for that service, but it seems to be a built in cost.

SecuroServ CEO is the name of the service we get from SecuroServ, like all those VIP xyz services companies offer to its clients ... Only SecuroServ is more criminal.

There is literally no money making activities in this game that aren't directed by someone else, unless you count robbing stores. Heists were the biggest disappointment in this regard, it's not my heist if I can't deviate from the text on screen. All these new businesses are storyline wise in my opinion a spoof of the CIA using actual criminals to do their clandestine dirty work to procure money for false flags and such

The one I find interesting is adversary modes directed by madrazo. A big coke kingpin who pits humans against each other, for his own amusement perhaps?

Anyway this game as a sandbox has the biggest fences I've ever seen

That's why we ONLY receive a small commission on delivering multimillion Import/Export vehicles rather than selling them for near market value.

Which sucks balls, Sercoserve provides the network and intel and we are glorified Simeon thugs stealing, storing and selling Sercoserve's wares rather than our own.
