I'd like a staff explanation as to why these people were banned, or a thread with a list of banned members + explanation, otherwise it makes GTAF look like a silly site where people get banned willy-nilly without much thought, and also out of personal curiosity because I dislike Shadow OPS and Diana McFlurry and their continuous sh*t-posting, off-topic and self-obsessed comments.

That stuff is entirely up to the people who ban them, and currently none of the mods/admins are really into public bans for various reasons - a common response you'll get if you ask is that they broke the rules and that's it.

 

Though I'm not a mod meaning I can't ban people:

-Shadowoperative was banned for general off topic toxicity

-Steamy_breezy was banned for constantly derailing threads with antagonism and baiting

-Diana's ban has been reversed (go figure) because it was apparently made in error, though they're still surfing on a 12 day suspension for posts they made in the random chat thread in gen chat

 

 

What I do not understand is Diana has been banned, has had I think four different accounts banned and is allowed to come back each time, so then what is the point of banning someone if they are allowed to keep coming back, that goes against the solo purpose of a ban

Thats great, nothing wrong with giving a person a new chance, if that person has improved, I think its clear the person in question has not improved one bit.

I agree. It should be by committee. Allowing one mod to ban someone is crazy IMO. It should be by 3 admins and majority rules. It should be a discussion. Getting banned by one person with no info to said party being banned. We are never told why we are banned. Sometimes not even generalities. Just hey we have complaints and you are banned. Then you cannot even contact someone to ask what the reason was. You cannot even PM an admin. Just guilty and no trial. For members that have been here nearly 9 years to have no rights is a major flaw. Being given a 30 day ban because one states they will not buy a certain helicopter and then a permanent ban because one states they do not speak penguin ( still don't ) is ridiculous. I know what will happen and few will read this. The ones that read this and were kind to me this past year I wish you a happy new year.

 

Admins come out of the shadows and please have a vote going forward. 3 parties should agree to said ban and complaints should be reviewed for validity. Not by one party holding grudges.

i think he did not just not understand simple fluffy penguin language but also didn't understand not to pick on someone with every post he made and derailing every thread. he couldn't even answer simple questions which were written in proper double whopper english. he did understand how to spread bad atmosphere though. i think he is better off on 4chan, where he certainly will understand the language there with all the cursing and being tough (but also braindead) on the internet. there he also can curse about this forums, as he used to. and he can talk about his wife and daughter and about being an adult and he doesn't have to have an actual conversation with people. there he will quickly find some groups of people who can he hate and not debate with. bravo!

Most bans are talked about between the mods in our Discord chat. It's usually not just a one person decision to be honest. Also they tend to give people many chances, including you. Only so many times I can take up for someone before the Admin just say nah, not this time.

The only error was not banning that account the day she made it. I'm all for giving someone a second chance but Diana has had far too many chances and does the same thing every time she is banned I think it's pretty obvious she will never change.

OT: I am finally gonna get a Weaponized Tampa, now with the Facility, I feel like I actually have a place to put such a vehicle. Idk what else I will put in there though. I have my DoD and Vigilante in there now. I don't think there are any other weaponized cars that suite me.

I have my Weaponized Tampa in my Facility, I've also got the APC in there because it had a "Facility-esque" level of weaponry. I couldn't think of anything else that looked right next to the Khanjali

So what was everyone's first GTAO session of 2018 like?

 

Mine started off getting bored as noone was Online or in Freemode so I tried to play some Adversary Modes. Had to leave mid-Occupy at FZ because I didn't want the first thing to be me getting triggered by the teammates who weren't too useful. Or active. I tried Doomsday Heist but I got put into Rescue ULP and failed when my Kuruma just blew up for no reason (and since a spectator joined, we couldn't restart from checkpoint). Then I thought "why not do something I haven't done in a long time?" and went to a Survival at Del Perro Pier that I haven't completed before.

 

That Survival was the most fun and intense thing I've done in GTAO in months. At first I took cover at a small wall and a dumpster to the west side of the pier/rollercoaster/ferris wheel/etc but by Wave 4 I slowly started getting shredded and overran so I had to look for a new spot while a harmless heli hovered over me. Found a good hiding spot, set up a few dumpsters for cover and beat all the remaining waves. At the end of Wave 10 I had a helicopter left to take down and this truly felt like some sort of a boss battle, because that helicopter almost killed me a few times and I only had a short window to shoot it and its passengers. Best 30k ever.

 

Then I got returned to Freemode, and after trying to annoy a psycho in a Khanjali with my passive Deluxo I went to the rooftop of my Lombank office to try to shoot the tank and learned that I can shoot people inside their Maze Bank West offices and garages lol. Then got obliterated for the first time ever, I was actually hoping someone would do that just to see what it's like.

That Survival was the most fun and intense thing I've done in GTAO in months. At first I took cover at a small wall and a dumpster to the west side of the pier/rollercoaster/ferris wheel/etc but by Wave 4 I slowly started getting shredded and overran so I had to look for a new spot while a harmless heli hovered over me. Found a good hiding spot, set up a few dumpsters for cover and beat all the remaining waves. At the end of Wave 10 I had a helicopter left to take down and this truly felt like some sort of a boss battle, because that helicopter almost killed me a few times and I only had a short window to shoot it and its passengers. Best 30k ever.

 

Then I got returned to Freemode, and after trying to annoy a psycho in a Khanjali with my passive Deluxo I went to the rooftop of my Lombank office to try to shoot the tank and learned that I can shoot people inside their Maze Bank West offices and garages lol. Then got obliterated for the first time ever, I was actually hoping someone would do that just to see what it's like.

It was a Revolver Mk2. I did use the Double Action a few times though, it was a satisfying one hit kill

The Rocket Launcher is.

 

The MAZ-543M version was designed to carry the BM-30 Smerch Multiple rocket launcher.

 

The Truck itself is a upgrade of the MAZ-543 from 65', So yes late 80s, but the Cab itself is still 1960s tech (Hence when it Shifts gears like it has tiny Russian Comrade in gearbox with Hammer).
