Unpopular opinion: The new stuff added in the new version of GTA 5 on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 are designed for new players.
 

Just hear me out. First of all, there is the career builder, which is, mostly meant for new players or returning players wanting to restart. Second of all, there is a new intro showing off stuff you can do in the game. Third of all, GTA+. GTA+ was designed to be a even better head start for new players. Like the 500K, more bonuses and stuff like that. Fourth of all, Rockstar even made a guide for new players so they can know how to play the game. Fifth of all, they made it easier to view news and events from the new main menu, and the last thing is the trailers. I mean they look like they made it for new players, because they just show us stuff that we, returning players all had an experience before. That's my opinion, tell yours below.

This entire re release was designed around attracting new players.

Well it's a bit like if drug dealers hand out samples for free, to make them real addicts customers. Some ppl might bite, and start buying shark cards, that means more $$$. The veterans don't spend money on shark cards, if they already got everything, and a few hundread millions on the bank. No they need new customers.

Just *finally* properly finished the Diamond Casino Story and the Doomsday Heist Act III I was delaying for years now. Good lord that was a lot for a day.  The hell is that Diamond Casino Story finale though? I don't think I've ever had so many things exploding around me at once lmao.

I miss the monthly updates rockstar did back in 2014, 2015.  Even though content wise they weren't big, it kept the game fresh, and bugs were fixed a lot sooner.

When you really think about it, there's absolutely not a single understandable excuse for us to not get monthly bug fixes.

 

I'm not talking about quality of life changes(though these could also be done), I'm not talking about rebalancing old features nor introducing new basic features..I'm exclusively talking about bug fixes for glitches that requires a downloadable update.

 

And for the love of God, if some game-breaking bug can't be patched away, then at least try to remove or temporarily disable the feature that causes the bug, like NC God Mode Speed.

 

Looking at how active and milked to sh*t this game is, it baffles me that between 2013 up to 2015 that was the only time where we had monthly bug fixes.

 

Specially now that the game has a monthly subscription.

Did that recently as well, but only the Diamond Casino Story, because I was tired of Ms. Baker CALLING ME EVERYTIME I WENT OUTSIDE OF AN INTERIOR.

I do admit that was one of the motivators to finally finish it  that and Lester as Avon had been threatening nuclear annihilation since like 2017 for me lmao.

My Doomsday heist is still only on Act 1, I lost interest in it almost immediately after doing the 1st prep's and well given I am probably never gonna play the game again I guess I'll be the only player who never finishes that heist...

I also never finished that heist, also i never finished the Casino heist. I did play both of them with friends one time each, i just never felt the need to complete it for my char. I also never finished Cayo Perico.

Fair enough, good to know there's someone else joining me!

 

In my case I had no friends interested to play the Doomsday Heist so I never even got to experience it through joining another heist.

The entire heist was one-and-done for me. It's extremely tedious, and being forced into public lobbies really doesn't help too.

I play on PS5 and the last couple sessions I was in I noticed a couple high rank players in ghost mode killing low ranks. So I decided to wait till they were back on radar and give em a tast eof their own medicine, but they never came back on radar. It's like they had an infinite off radar?

Infinite off radar bug, comes with God mode too so you can do absolutely nothing about them.

He was sending me texts while off radar. As far as I know you can't use your phone in an RC vehicle.

I was out scuba diving yesterday, and some loser kept teleporting to my position. But since I was underwater he couldn't do anything to me. Must have followed me around at least ten minutes until I accidently went into water that was too shallow and he was able to kill me. How pathetic is that?

Also, you can't use your cell phone underwater, but you can while you're swimming on the surface.

Just received a random $500,000 from Rockstar when I logged on. I have not finished 3 Freemode Challenges yet, so I know it isn't from that. I have been losing ALOT of Ammo since transferring to PS5, maybe they're finally tracking these things and making up for it? Lmfao who we kidding. Well, anyway, be on the lookout for 500k your way.

anyone know how to turn on recording on the ps5 version? used to be able to hold down on the d-pad and it would give you the option, now just getting the 3 story characters coming up..

i'm sure it's been answered before but can't find it

The prize for doing the challenges is only $200k. No idea why you and @Taterman got a bonus but it never hurts! If they were paying us for lost ammo I'd gladly accept the millions of dollars they owe me

How often does the Oppressor Mk II go on sale? I bought a Nightclub & Terrorbyte when they were on sale recently, and now I've got the 5 client jobs done. But I was wondering if it's worthwhile to wait a little longer for a possible sale?

Why are Street or Pursuit races missing from the quick jobs list no matter where I am in the game?

 

EDIT: Turns out turning them off in the Map Blip option now removes them from the Quick Jobs menu. WTF
