That feeling when you have enough money to buy expensive vehicles, fully mod them and then sell them five minutes later but don't have the motivation to make the money back.

Possible already well-known, but there is some interesting data on that here: https://leo3418.github.io/collections/gta-online-guides/gun-lockers

That information is not 100% true.

The fireworkslauncher does show up in the gunlocker menu if you bought it. Same with the navy revolver if you rebuy it from ammunation after removing it with a Peyote.

I see some people jump over the train tracks in the pursuit race "The Good Bet", but there's no ramp there. I tried jumping over the hill in freemode, but I couldn't make it. How do they pull it off?

Oh man, I totally missed that. I guess I just tuned out Sessanta because she's so annoying.

Thanks guys.

You didn't, the mission is glitched. I didn't get the slamvan nor the SMS text the first time I did it. (That's why I asked about it).

You are talking about jumping from the highway over the train tracks? There is a ramp. As wide as a car. Not easy to spot. Took me 5 races to spot it in the last one while being very close to someone using it.

No no, the other way around. You're thinking of the race "Groving".

Thanks. I cancelled it and tried again tonight and got the outfit. It' actually cooler than 95% of the car meet stuff that would take a year of rep to get.

That's a very risky shortcut. Sometimes your car will crash into it as if it's a wall, and other times, you won't get enough air time. It can easily cost you a race. I'd rather not take it, to be honest.

Anyone know what the featured series is for today's Objective? I have most jobs and markers turned off and, as happens pretty frequently, turning the Featured Series to "show" doesn't change anything. $8 billion game here, folks....

Edit: Found out it was the Kart races. I guess my dumdum brain never realized that the first thing on every Newswire is usually the featured series.

True. If you go a bit to the left you just crash like in a wall. If you know where and how wide the spot is and you practice to get it you will be able to reliably hit it. But you are not racing alone. No contact, practice and you can use a good shotcut. Timing is everything. Like with a lot of other shotcuts you can use.

That being said: I am bad timing wise. So i would not use it as long as i am casually doing these races too.

The Casino Mission "Strong Arm Tactics" has a nasty bug, the Tao's Translator guy doesn't follow you after the killing is done...its not that common though, but still gamebreaking, out 15 missions played it happened twice on Hard, it seems there is no other fix than blowing up his car in order to Quick Start, then he will follow to final destination.

I want that new sultan, it comes across as 'would not be terrible for street races', but then again i figured the same for the S2. I need to see/try that new sultan maxed out.

At the moment, yes.

If there are any more clothes to be unlocked in the Union Depository Contract, I'd guess they'll end up there as well.

Looking at you R*...

Funny cartoon but lately Rockstar have been shifting much more to a fidelization model of business than to push shark card sales.

So, for on-line games to be successful, they need players to interact with, so you have to acquire new ones and hold the ones you already own.

Nowadays the shark cards are more focused on people that want to kickstart their GTA on-line carrier, so stuff like the Epic Games giveaway and discounts for buying makes sense, because you can't do much with the basic product.

But there is an entire population of people in GTA on-line that will never buy a shark card, because these people already have money and infra-structure, giving these guys nice free stuff is a good way to keep the game numbers high to keep investors happy, to keep the game alive, and to extend the life of a product, because if something is not declining, maybe is not late to get in.

So, things that are in synergy with the second line:

Cayo Perico was designed in a way veterans can milk in game money easily and indulge themselves to keep them interested in the game and pump that player count numbers, but if a new player wants to do the same, they will probably get a shark card to start up.

Most of the cars are around the 1.5 to 2M mark, it doesn't matter if is a 80's economy box, or a super car, that's the price to enjoy the new cool stuff, so, you can spend an hour on your Cayo Perico to get one, or you can log in every day of the week 10 minutes a day to pump those player count numbers up and please the investors, again, every player that gets in a session there will be the guys spinning the wheel, and the guys carrying Heist prep equip like little working ants.

The new car meet prize, is the same concept, fidelization, you can either grind your new car out, including the discounts, or you can win your car thought racing, and again, if there is people to race with, the game is kept alive with a large player base.

Even the stupid grind system of Reputation is to pump player base, and all that I am saying is from the Marketing/advertiser neutral point of view without condoning or praising Rockstar, on a critic side, 4.000 hours to unlock a racing suit is abusive Rockstar, fix that S#!%.

What I imagine going forward when the enhanced edition comes out is Rockstar is going to focus on bringing in new players or trying to reattract those who played a bit but left. They know the veterans of this game have more cash than they can ever spend and will never ever make a shark card purchase. Which ironically proves just how pointless shark cards are. You can tell by the promotions they been doing thats aimed more towards newer players. Take the double cash bonus for robbing convenience stores. That is something clearly aimed at brand new players starting out.

Veterans like myself and most of those who frequent this forum are not the people Rockstar is going to try and cater to cause they know getting any money out of us is impossible.

If they wish to make this happen then they must deal with the toxicity issue thats in the game, thats going to scare off new players for miles around. No more facilitating, encouraging, and rewarding toxic behavior. If they actually intend for new players to actually stick around this is an absolute must. A do or die decision.

You make some good points, however I would add that most shark sales are not the big dog cards, they are the low level ones and are mostly bought by kids to get this plane or that car or that nightclub and a flying dog etc.. They spend their allowance on a mil here, a mil there. An 8 mil boost is usually only a birthday or Christmas gift.

It's adults with jobs and families who buy the big ones because the grind is incompatible with their lives. That's why it gets my heckles up when people (let's be honest, it's "know-nothing-know-it-all" kids who ain't lived a day yet) who sneer at those who buy the cards from some self-appointed position of moral superiority. All I can say to them is, I'm glad those kids over there and their mother have got that guy buying the shark cards so he can play this AND be a good husband and father in their lives, rather than you. If you'd grind any mere videogame and ignore your family just in the name of not buying a fish card, then you need your tubes tying for the good of humanity.

Cayo in my opinion was a mistake, albeit it one they could not reasonably have foreseen. It was a "there ya go, E&E and your new console will be here soon, go nuts, buy everything you ever wanted and we'll see you on the flipside". Then all the wankpuffery of the last 18 months happened and schedules all went south. I'd love to see how they are going to rebalance an economy that is now wrecked forever unless they do something. It fascinates me how they will do that.

As for the 4000 hours thing, Rockstar are trolls supreme. See the triathalon and Epsilon as a whole in offline. How would you react seeing someone actually get the level 1000 parrot vomit suit if you were them? You'd die laughing. I got my offline rusty tractor because it was worth it. Arena and this one? Do me a favour lol.

The grind up to 250 is easy. Just give up on playing GTA for a few weeks, call every vehicle you own to the car meet, paint it, drive it, make and save outfits, race, do anything you can to stop yourself going nuts, and in a few weeks of doing that and some overnight shennanigans, you will be at 250. I'm 223 and nearly there, and you know what, it really wasn't that bad at all.

Then I'll never enter that f*cking underground dungeon of sh*t again.

This, I have explained my thoughts on this before.

Someone added or "forgot" to remove a nought off the payouts from Cayo Perico. All the ways of making money in GTAO give roughly the same payouts per hour except for Cayo Perico which is at least five times the payouts per hour. Remove a single nought off the payouts, and they all fall back inline with all the other payout vs hour profits.

Either someone working from home f*cked up, did it intentionally, and it slipped Q&A or the original Heist where you steal the photos for Mini Madrazo was supposed to pay out a million plus and someone did not change the values for the following Heists.
