It's been almost 2 months since I last time played GTA because I deleted it.

Today I have been watching my streams playing Online with my friend and doing the Doomsday heist from the beginning till the end.

Good news is that RDR 2 is coming to Steam. I'm going to buy it and play it a lot.

But we need to hear somethin about GTA 6 asap. Give us the first trailer Rockstar.

Since this has got to do with GTAOnline, I'm going to post this here instead of clogging up the other topic the quoted post was posted in

Right your missing the point so I'm going to sum up things for you that happened in my story since your do hard on labelling me a "pussy" despite that not being the case

 

We were doing a sale mission, friend got attacked, he cans selling from that point on, we go and deal with the trash and quickest way to get from A-B was the MK2 which I also reserve to use against said trouble makers whether you like it or not. Also something you don't know is that I'm still one of the few GTAOnline players to actually use on the ground combat believe it or not. You know those actual weapons in your inventory... yeah I still use them but keep being hard on the fact that the time the 3 of us taking out the trash is our fault.

 

Guess what? Said trouble maker used an weaponized vehicle to destroy my friends sh*t but flip the tables around and when we use a MK II to take out troublemakers, suddenly that's too far and not allowed and we're pussies. Seriously the amount of backwards ass logic on here is ridiculous and I question why I still post & visit here.  the MK II get's a lot of hate and ridicule and even I agree as to whether if it has it's place here in GTAOnline but there's nothing more rewarding for the time being then getting on your own and taking down said griefers for good. If you have so much of a problem with that then the problem isn't with myself, it's probably you. 

 

Also your right, I had the choice of taking the fight to the person who attacked us, that's when their then not easy waying out (EWO) and then proceeding to hide tucked away in their hanger or apartment where they can't be KILLED or ATTACKED while still continuing to send taunt messages. Meanwhile I'm still outside and easily accessible if they could take the 5 seconds out of their precious life to reach me but that's too much for them to accomplish.  Also the reason I had a sticky set up was to self destruct should they make their way inside to me, I mentioned the griefer was doing the exact same sh*t in my post and you didn't care to point that out but rather instead you spent so much of your time pointing out my defence flaws and saying I'm the bad one here...  If these idiots aren't letting me get kills on them then why should I feed them kills in return? No way Jose. 

 

See what's wrong here? It seems it's totally acceptable for one to do something I.E set up a proxy or sticky to self destruct should a player get close (tryhards do exactly that don't you know?) but then someone else does the exact same perhaps to defend themselves from said griefer and you lose your marbles over it. 

 

The fact that your judging myself, my friends & crew members from just one post is ridiculous and is showing your highly naive.  You have not seen 100% all the ways we deal with different people and you probably won't. Please don't try and use the tough guy act either as it's not getting anywhere... and perhaps it's a good thing I've not ran into you, for because you sound like a highly toxic player and that's exactly the last thing this multiplayer game needs any more of. 

 

I'm done arguing with not only yourself, but other members like you who hold the same exact bullsh*t backwards logic.

I finally turned mine off this AM as I need to travel for the holiday.  I got Merryweather this AM.  I did get one Insurgent drop and one Phantom but the vast majority were dune buggy, MW and Monster Trucks the past few days.  Was worth it for that delicious double payout for the half dozen runs I made after the changeover.

I haven't got the Phantom mission in over a week either. I hope they haven't removed it.

Getting the Merryweather one every second sale lately. Annoying AF when you're in a hurry.

How do people feel about the whole "cash in hand versus money in the bank" thing? It's a pain in the tits having to bank money all the time. I'm just wondering does anyone have a good argument as to why it should stay in the game? Personally I think it would be better if money was money, regardless of whether it's in the bank or your arse pocket. It just seems like a pointless inconvenience to me.

Well, before 2015 there wasn´t a limit of the amount a mugger could take from you like nowadays (Max 10000 bucks), also when you die some amount gets dropped (around 200-300 if you have more than 1000 bucks).

I still deposit part of the cash I get, I usually have 5000 around, the rest goes to the bank

Yeah, but these limits could still be applied if there was an all in one system.

Yes, I know you can do it with the phone (although admittedly once upon a time, I didn't know at first). I never said it was time consuming. I said it was a pointless inconvenience. Which it is. Having two separate wads of cash serves no legitimate purpose whatsoever as far as I can see.

I cant seem to think of anything atm but I do think there are certain things you need cash in hand for. Maybe betting on races, hookers things like that which would make sense but still pretty pointless.

Yeah, I mean I'm not saying that you don't need cash in your pocket. I'm saying just have it all in one place. The way it used to be. We could still do all those things back in the day. Hell, we can do all those things in single player with the all in one system.

I don't know about you guys but I think we need more revolvers in this game..

Like a snub nose .357/.38, the colt python from Vice City and for you guys that need something a little bigger...

As far as I can remember, Online always had the two separate amounts, but I agree that having a "cash in hand" and "cash in bank" is pointless. Most online players move their money into the bank as soon as they have more than $5000 in order to prevent it being stolen after being killed. After all you only need cash in hand for things hookers, cabs, the amusement park and Vanilla Unicorn. If Rockstar got rid of the feature of being robbed after being killed then they could have just one location for money and just let the money automatically come out for the "cash in hand" locations (hookers, Vanilla Unicorn, cabs, etc).

As a player part of a small crew, can confirm it's annoying, especially when you want to wrap things up yourself for the night and was hoping you would either get phantoms wages or global signals you could just easily power through with. 

 

There's also the chance during one of those missions the AI will fall off the hill depending on the drop location and they'll spend indefinite time trying to get back up and failing, annoying everyone part of the sale and having to temporary leave the drop to go deal with the troublesome AI. We've had that happen a bit too much.

I finally got the double Phantom.

 

This happened the last time we had the double bunker bonuses, after like four sales, it would start cycling thru just the three ( 15 drop Insurgent, Dune's , Marshall's).

However, I'd go the extra mile and say that the game (or, at this point, GTA: "Next") needs more weapons and expanded customization of arms in general. More original ones, more MKII versions, more wacky stuff too.

 

I'm a bit of a gun nut and having spent the last few weeks playing through the original Modern Warfare trilogy and lots and lots of MW3 Survival, I'm putting off returning back to GTAO due to the lack of certain guns I'd deem essential.

 

In my point of view, a good and varied arsenal is just as necessary to the criminal as a nice fleet of vehicles is. As such, I wish that each new update to GTAO brought two or three new weapons to the fray.

 

New weaponry isn't just "more of the same old to shoot people with". It also brings with it new toys to play with, customize, new sounds to listen to (who doesn't love a nice, punchy gun blast?), reload animations to marvel at, new ways to kill and look great while doing so. Seriously, it's awesome to have new kick-ass-looking weapons to take Snapmatics with.

 

More revolvers, an Assault SMG MKII based on the P90 from TBoGT, the return of the Advanced Sniper or anything else for the sniper class, a Pistol .50 MKII, the list goes on... - any single one of these weapons being added would guarantee my return to playing GTAO on the daily.

 

tl;dr: More guns, please.

Agreed. In fact, they wouldn't even need to remove the getting robbed feature. When you get killed, a limited amount of cash could still spawn for someone to rob. The game wouldn't need two separate cash systems to make this a possibility. The point I'm trying to make, is that out of every single feature in the game, not a single one of them would have to be be removed if a single cash system (like story mode) was to be introduced

Something that slightly irks me about gun customization (and car customization too) in both GTA V and RDR2 is that putting everything on a gun is essential to make it better, making said parts basically crutches.

 

Like, sure, a kitted out weapon will always be better than a naked one, but the difference shouldn't be that obvious.

 

Maybe silencers could decrease damage, heavy barrels and long barrels could make the weapon heavier to aim (duh) and scopes could have several  zoom levels.

 

Maybe muzzle brakes, compensators and flash suppresors could behave correctly instead of all of them being lumped into a single section and special ammo wouldn't need to be so limited in capacity and usefulness. Maybe go further and let us choose from several stocks (or the lack of one), barrel lenghts, calibers, red dot reticles and whatnot.

 

It would also be cool if weapons actually had recoil and maybe some sort of simplified bullet travel in the next GTA too.

 

Maybe R* should take notes from the Gunsmith feature from the latest Modern Warfare so they also get what makes gun customization right. Everyone having the same fully upgraded gun is not fun nor varied.

Lately I've found myself using weapons like the Mini SMG, the Double Barrel Shotgun and the Machine Pistol to deal with NPCs way more than my Mk II weapons. There's something more visceral and gangster-like about them.

Is it just me or is the online section not as busy lately? 

 

I get we live in different timezones and all but usually in the afternoon for me, this place would still be buzzing with activity, the last couple of threads in the main GTAOnline section have the latest posts going back as much as 8 hours ago.

There's a certain house/trailer close to the Sandy Shores coke factory that has several NPCs outside; for some weird reason, those NPCs get auto-targeted by lock-on on vehicles. What's up with them? When I came close to them on foot, they didn't attack me, and also weren't shown as enemies. It also seems to happen in every session and not a side-effect of someone else's freeroam missions.
