There was a glitch to get that weather in freeroam, you can guess what Rockstar has done to that glitch shortly after it came out.

At least I had some fun with it.

(To be fair it was a fantastic glitch visual wise but for some reason it also caused the limit om the barrage to be disabled, so if you had a hunter you could just hold the button and merk anything moving and anything stationary.)

They do events, loads of players experience them at the same time, last season they had a location of the map changing each week, one of them turned into Gotham City from Batman with a collaboration, they did stuff with borderlands' release.

I previously suspected that the hilly expanse of nothingness to the east of Los Santos might have been intended to host isolated little towns and maybe some interesting natural features like waterfalls and caves, but that maybe they hit the crunch time too soon. Maybe they just didn't have the opportunity to finish that area to the same standard of the terrain to the south of Fort Zancudo, embellished as it is with all manner of curious things.

 

More likely, I agree, it's pretty obvious that the creative devs spent one too many weekends sniffing Colombian disco powder in some chrome and neon pseudo-retro champagne bar. Then one of them announced in the office on a quiet Monday morning, "Wouldn't it be freaking awesome if there was, like, just nothing there on the map! Man I'm THE genius!"

 

Then, several years later, the Oppressor Mk.II is introduced.

I'm enjoying my Weeny Dynasty, my only gripes with it is there's no option for a black & white checker livery and the colour of the taxi sign can't be changed, otherwise it's 8.8/10 vehicle for me

 

If there's any room left in GTAOnline future updates, I wouldn't mind seeing vintage emergency service vehicles we can own. I'd love to have an old sheriff two door classic sitting in my garage of vintage vehicles.

Yep, it really has aged a lot. Still exceptionally awesome though, like an old car with bits falling off but there are too many memories of the good times to trade it in just yet. (And the new model hasn't been released yet)

I got blamed for ruining a randoms heist set-up last night.

 

What had happened is we were selling one of my friends MC Businesses and had the boats mission that ended up finishing near F.Z. I got stuck at sea so I had another friend who had disconnected from the session previously, kill me so I could respawn on land. I did but it happened to be on a hill so I call in my MK2 so I can head to my friends next business and I see two players coming in a Nightshark, I'm wary so I want to see their intentions so I slowly go ahead but still in front of them, who ever was driving was intent on firing the machine gun at me, I took that as a hostile threat so I engaged fire back. My MK2 is only fitted with machine guns at the moment because that's my preference (might be thinking of getting a 2nd MK2 eventually with missiles) so I had to put that away when that wasn't working out and call in my MK1 which has homings. 

 

I caught up to them and at this point so did another friend (as usual, in PSN voice chat party so they heard me giving out a huge warning that I'm being attacked). We both fired homings at them. I was the one who got kills on both of them but disconnected afterwards. I eventually decided to go fix up dinner in real life. I come back a good 20 minutes later and my friend who was with me had been getting messages from the random I'd taken out. B*tching how he was doing heist-prep or whatever the f*ck and that I ruined it by coming after them. Nice of them to spin the story the other way and tell porkies which my friend isn't taking for a second there. I don't know who out of the two was driving but they shouldn't have fired at me when I got on my bike and I'd left them be. They can't b*tch I ruined their sh*t when they opened fire on me and since they hadn't picked up whatever equipment they were suppose to be getting, I had no way of telling they were even doing prep work.

So, walked into my Penthouse for the first time in.......I honestly don't know. What I do know, is the lass (My character) is a woman after my own heart, the amount of pizza boxes, hamburger containers, and a good handful of donut containers. At least there's a free cleaning service, because heaven forbid this sh*t starts to look like my Maze Bank Office (lol, that sh*t is basically gathering dust as well).

I can fire up DBFZ and get in a online match within 2 to 3 minutes, including the loading times right after opening the app...What takes a lot of time is just finding a player to fight with me since my settings are restricted to avoid lag spikes.

 

In GT Sport the same process to doesn't take more than 2 minutes at worse, that game booths up incredibly fast.

 

The same process in GTA Online though? 10 minutes if it's a good day.

This game is not only slow to load, but extremely backward in terms of matchmaking. For example, in Forza Horizon 4 I can stay in my online session while matchmaking for the seasonal event. If there's not enough players, I'm never leaving my session and can re-match in couple of minutes. Basically, I can just enjoy the session without looking at the loading screens. That's excellent implementation of matchmaking in freeroam-oriented online game.

 

With Dirt Rally 2.0, for example, there's nothing fancy, but I can launch the game, join my mates and do half of the lap on rallycross while Online is still showing me the clouds, tested it.

 

And no, SSD/M2s and fast CPU are not really solving the issue, because it's still slow in comparison with other games.

Complete change of subject, but I figured I'd post this as its a big step for me in 3D. I managed to finally "re-build" my main GTAO character in 3D using Claude's base model (like in-game). 9 hours later I can finally pose how I want. (Rigging bones was an effin' nightmare!).

 

As you may well know, I do a lot of custom Assistant stuff, so I figured I'd do the first render with her.

 

 

Next step; convince Rockstar to allow us to purchase a 3D printed action figure!

Something that puzzles me is why do they always go for this part of the forum? I don't think in my time as a member here, have I ever seen a spambot target elsewhere on the forum (not that I want it too but just saying) 

 

That and the anti-spam protection on the board must be pretty poor if this is continuously happening, I get no system is perfect at protecting us 100% from spam but this is something that's continuously happening. last week it was D1ck pictures, this week it's Korean spam for possibly a sex / pr0n website. Next week it'll probably be d!ck pictures again. 

 

If this forum has that Captcha crap, how do the bots bypass it? Or does someone manually create an account and then from there the account is controlled by some sort of software or something?

My guess is because the online section is typically the busiest.

Oh it's always a less than stellar feeling to see someone quoted you and they replied with pictures I didn't want to see. I remember for awhile not too long ago it was happening daily.

I'm not sure. Usually the spam accounts are reportedly previously banned members that have an axe to grind. I noticed the spam accounts tend to start following me on here so i guess i ticked off the usual p*rnado spammer at one point.

it's common to have computer farms in developing countries where wages are cheap to pay that do the menial tasks normally attributed to computers - you can create the most sophisticated bot-detection in the world, it doesn't stop a human being paid pennies 

 

that said, idk about the specific technical details that the forum uses, so for all I know it could just be bad at stopping bots lol

Can't a minimum post ammount or something like that be put in place so the trolls and bots don't just spam pr0n instantly or something?
