Question -  anybody have a clue what is going on for like the past month with getting 'rockstar services unavailable' or 'unable to load character one?'  I'm on ps4 btw.  It is driving me nuts.  It takes me many tries, even just going into invite only to make it online.  It's like, there's enough issues with contact missions and now survival once I get on, and now generally I'm in a foul mood by the time it actually loads.  Is there any way to up my chances on loading in successfully?  I've cleared cache plenty, has done zip.

 

Any answers or even heart felt "I feel your pain"s are appreciated.

I feel your pain, but can't say I've experienced that, or know of a fix.

@FrozenDanCicle  they might be doing some hot fixes on ps4, I haven’t had any issues lately but I’m on x1 and haven’t played much lately.  Thing is R* coding for this game looks like a plate of spaghetti thrown through a blender, they fix 1 thing and break 10 others. It could be on your end unfortunately if it’s not happening to others on ps4.

Something is definitely going on with the PS4, I've been playing a fair more cloud simulator lately especially when loading back into sessions after going idle and being idle kicked (and that's if it doesn't say there was an unknown error and boots me to GTAV the moment I load back in) 

 

The issue isn't just on my end, my friends report similar if not the same problems. Sometimes I'm forced to relaunch the game 3 times if not a little more to finally land in a session and I better stay there or else I'll find myself stuck in finite loading and having to reboot 3 times before I load into a session, all the while 65% of the time I can see the kill-feed as well so I know something is happening but as for why it won't put me on the ground????

 

Black-screens while getting invites or exiting buildings has become a little more frequent as of late as well. Not frequent frequent but it's at least once a night issue. Eventually after a few minutes I'll load in.

Doing the Meth Lab survival earlier and since I was the only one left alive hiding behind the store counter all the enemies started coming through the front doors. Now as the fighting got  more intense "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" started playing. Really heated up the intensity and I carried my team past wave 8, only to be instantly turned into Swiss cheese by a hand held minigun (it was actually a rifle but it fired like a damn minigun) toting vago near the end of wave 9.

I haven't had that many issues with the ps4 lately, but it might be because I clear the cache every couple of days, it fixes some loading issues.

You fixthe cache by holding l1 and r1 when the artwork of the girl disappears, hold until you get the calibration screen, you have to set your control preferences and settings back, it won't magically fix Rockstar's servers but that should hopefully preveng the issues with the loading and the alerts.

Q: Is the vehicle armor worth it? I've been thinking about upgrading my entire collection for a while now and the armor upgrade is on sale this week.

 

Its gonna cost me just under 3 millions to upgrade 98 vehicles.

I have 100+ cars and don't think I've ever done the upgrade - I was under the impression that it's mostly for cosmetics; if you crash, your vehicle doesn't get as damaged.

It takes a hell of a lot more damage before smoking, doesn't explode when you land on the trunk/upside down, reduces visible deformation and wonky wheels etc...slightly more than "cosmetics".

Is it just a temporary discount, or did the NPC-modded Sentinel XS (as well as the Dubsta 2, of all things!) get a nerf in sale price?

 

Lately both the yellow and blurple Sentinel XSs have been selling for less than the original $14,940 and $17,940 respectively.

Yeah, it's because car parts have been on various sales this week and the past week or two.

Parts/performance mods are on sale, therefore price is reduced. This gets asked every single time there is a discount.

I still miss the original Sentinel XS sale price of ~$36,000 (or something like that?) It sure felt good to get that--even if it was only for a day or two.

Something similar happened years ago with the modded gang cars when chrome wheels came out. The sale price for the gang peyote shot up to 30k for a few days.

The amount of clutter is from what you’ve sold from your special cargo.  It does have a cap though I forgot exactly how much, and sadly there’s no way to get rid of it.  Personally I’d like some kind of office decoration over the mess that’s there.

That was carimbo(?) and I lol, I still remember it well. I put a tracker on a futo by driving it into a garage, modded it and forgot the insurance. I landed on the roof and exploded and totally lost the car

Sad face, helped a random low level player out yesterday that was sourcing a I/E car and was getting attacked by a higher ranked player, I killed the attacking player which gave him time get his car delivered to his garage,  no thank you...
