Anyone else see the dirt trails and paths in red dead and think "I'd like to take a rally car through those."? Some of the mountain trails look like they'd be fun to rip up in a rally car.

Jeeze, this is looking a little bit like the B&M thread....

 

Has anyone noticed a MKII speed glitch in the subway tunnels? I've been flying through them for about 20 minutes now (wish I knew how to do a video) and I am absolutely screaming. The speedometer doesn't change, but this feels as fast as the old "rocking horse" glitch the MKII had last year. It's actually so fast, I'm having trouble controlling the bike. The first time it occurred, I flew so fast into a handrail that I exploded instantly.

Had a strange run-in on some guys the other day. They were driving a Comet, 9F and Exmeplar. I could see those were PVs and I felt a little stupid in my super new car so I brought out my Alpha and got a thumbs up from then the second time they passed me.

 

Felt kinda nice to go back to the older cars of this game. Recently bought a regular Comet after reaching 5 mil chips.

Would be a great laugh. And ain't gonna lie, I'd love to be able to fly over that map and really take in that view. Any complaints aside, the map and atmosphere of the region's etc are an absolute stunning part of that game.

The hot air balloon mission in SP was great for that. R*, when can we buy one?

I can that being a bit OP and/or distracting if many show up in any given session but I'd love R* to add one or 2 in a lobby or in a job where we can steal it or something. Maybe with no snipers allowed or something, I dunno.

 

Same for the odd old car. Not have it so we could see a session full but some side fun.

 

Much like GTA here, most of the stuff added is only a problem because it's widespread and easy to use/obtain for good or bad. If things like the orbital cannon or the meme vehicles were mission only, they'd not be a real issue. Although with how easy things are to glitch in at times, I see why R* makes the stuff available if it is to slow/stop glitching - Which makes me wonder why certain outfits aren't just added with a 100k price tag.

Well that would be too cheap, they sell basic jackets for 100k and upwards, so if and when we finally get some mission outfits to buy expect them to at the very least be around half a mil each (like some of the arena war 'special' outfits are) if not more.

1. How much health does the Beast have?

 

2. Can the Beast use an Oppressor Mk2?

 

I encountered a dude using the Mk2 as the Beast and was going on a rampage. He was practically unkillable.

I haven't played RDR/RDO, but 15 Gold Bars sounds like a lot. From my understanding Gold is hard to get there.

It'll be slow process in general, especially for a casual player without the perks or maximising 2x dailies. (Or buying it ofc).

 

Though until these much larger costs became known, gold hasn't been so essential. It's more where it goes now they've set the bar. And with GTA:O in mind, uugh, lol.

I don't know about the health (I've killed the beast using 3 Akula bombs), but I do know that you have access to all the same vehicles you normally do.

Specifically mechanics like these will keep me away from future R* online titles. I used to grind a lot in this game, but now when I promised myself that I won't do that ever again and will rather use a modded account if I will need to, I can see clearly how Online slows you down and keeps you in the game. It starts with the loading times, even on a potent hardware I can be already racing in some games, while Online is not even close to finish the connection. Then, in-game almost everything has a cooldown apart from ammo purchases: want to sell a car, call a mechanic, call personal aircraft, request a mission? Wait a bit. I used to do a lot of chain sales with the crew, we called them trains and only now I can see how pathetic it was: waiting for a bunker to fill up, drive idiotic trucks using the same route or fly slow ass planes through the same checkpoints. I used to think about this process as meditative while listening to some podcasts in background. But it wasn't. After some time I have realized that I'm only playing this game to grind, but even at this point it took some time to actually digest it and stop playing it.

 

I'm not advocating any playstyle or opinion here and in general the overall ride with Online was great, but be it RDO or GTA 6 online, I'm out without even peeking in.

It's pretty evident they're gonna use all these tactics in all future games. Buy something, wait a bit, sell in a public lobby with a target on your back. Holding back content whenever they want to create artificial demand. f*ck T2, f*ck investors, and f*ck us for lining their pockets.

Gold is now to RDO is what a million dollars is to GTAO ... admission fees.

If the formula is to carry on making us grind away at mundane tasks for pitiful returns at least they could put some legit jobs in the game such as taxi driver or appliance technician at Burger Shot.

 

Cleaning deep fryers would be as much fun as some of these dreary fetch quests tbh
