I finally hit level 500! Never cheated, glitched, duped...just grinded for a year and a half.

Smuggler's Run just turned two years old today.

 

Despite its criticisms as a business that is little more than a waste of time profits-wise, boring dripfeed for some (not for me) and extending the warlike focus that the game for a while, I still look back at this update fondly and with nostalgia.

 

For one, it was an update spent with friends that I still talk to and play with to this day, it added the Hunter and the way it was announced will probably never be beat:

 

"Enjoying the end of the Gunrunning dripfeed and what it brought, this week? Come back next Tuesday for a whole new update, lol."

 

It's scary to think how fast time has passed since then, though. I still remember us celebrating half a decade of Online a year ago, and its sixth one is already at our doorstep.

^^ man, time flies.

 

I too enjoyed Smuggler's Run despite the poor payouts & Ron's annoying calls.

 

I would've loved more civilian planes, preferably a bizjet or two, but alas it was a decent selection of airplanes ... At ridiculous prices. People complain about an 800k Volvo, but forget about a 4 million dollar coldwar-era Cargo plane & a 6 million dollar Pegasus vehicle.

 

Anyway, I loved the planes, the hangar & the fact it allowed us to store and repaint most Pegasus vehicles.

 

 

My only complaints regarding the update are:

 

1) Not enough hangar space.

 

2) The way they charged us the daily fees.

Here i was thinking we consumers would never get Vantablack due to the obvious value it has for army's, kinda neat to see this become a thing, but at the same time pretty stupid too.
Nice for a collector i guess, but totally useless unless you plan to use the car for a nighttime kidnapping or something.

Edit: Honestly despite every news outlet saying Vantablack, im skeptical, you can clearly see the line across the doors, Vantablack doesnt do that, it absorbs like 99.9% of light, this seems to be closer to those cheaper versions that 'only' absorb like 95% of the light.

Well, for the first 6 months or so, I only did contract missions until someone explained the bunker and other businesses. Also, me and my wife share an account and I can't play when she is on.

Ive been playing since PS3 launch and im 'only' level ~750, now i'll be the first to admit i've stopped grinding for like 2 years now, but still, imo reaching level 500 in a year and a half is quite the feat.

^^ I'd say you're doing well--has taken me almost four years (between my PS3 and PC) to get my two characters to their current ~490 and ~390 levels.

i think just two VA having tweet exchange and roger takes shot at ross scooping for anything that can be used for view

i'd imagine clickbaiters are either indeed does scoop these tweets or stay silent all while at same time insulted

Oh damn, that's hilarious. I gotta give props to Roger Clark for having his finger on the pulse. Most VA's would have taken their paycheck and only grunted at fans but he seems like a genuinely decent guy with fans.

The Explosive Rounds Vs Hydras are beautiful. I got accused of hacking just now because I shot some fool down with them. The day that we get a Hanger modifiable Jet that surpasses the Hydra lie the F35 Lightning B (I think its called that) will be a terrible day. Imagine the Hydra with Countermeasures and the ability to increase the armour? Bad times.

Had some tryhard fool in a god mode jet (which he flat-out denied) accuse me of using god mode the day prior. When asked for proof, he directs me to his cringey YouTube channel (his profile pic is of him with a snapchat filter, and his YouTube channel is your typical tryhard Youtube channel name), but his last upload was 2 days ago. No sign of proof anywhere.

 

What a loser. This god mode aircraft glitch is getting out of hand. In the right hands, a god mode Hydra can dominate a lobby. I feel sorry for the poor souls selling in a public lobby with them around. Rockstar must be loving this sh*t, so don't expect a fix until either Christmas or sometime next year.

You know what the funny thing is? I would willingly drop money on stuff like the Bombushka if we could select them for our deliveries over the sh*t vehicles we get given. If I could choose everytime to use the Bombushka for example on my Bunker deliveries I would drop the five million plus upgrades like it was nothing.

 

A full Bunker sale all in one Bombushka with fifteen or whatever drops over the city.

KInda strange that i've gotten level 300+ players accusing me of such, when explosive rounds have literally been in the game since Gunrunning. They've had so much time to figure that out!
