For me, the satisfaction of getting OS'd goes deeper than just knowing that someone spent $750k for a salty skill-free kill. As has been said, so much illicit cash floating around kinda dulls that angle.

What is satisfying is knowing some people will settle for such shallow gratification, and I ain't one of 'em.

There's a trick with the orbital strike, where you can get kills with it without paying a dime or having the cool-down timer. Not gonna say how, though. If they're doing that trick on you, they've got noting to lose.

It was patched a while ago.

It's a different one. It requires disconnecting your Internet.

Hahaha some poor retarded cryhard hit my Avenger using that glitch 3 times.

Poor retarded cryhard probably never realised I don't die in there.

He wasted like half an hour and gained nothing.

I did notice some changes in security system, today received a message that my account will be checked for cheating and that I no more allowed to participate in free mode events. Checked how it works, and after killing executive search guy two times didn't gained winning at all. This all on PS4.

Steam achievements stats are kinda strange.

This game rarely gets out of daily top ten list according to player numbers. However only %28.1 of players reached rank 50 and only %20.7 beats the story mode.

If people are not ranking up or playing story mode missions what are they doing?

My Friend is legit Neebs from Battlefield Friends with the accidental bullsh*t he constantly pulls off.
And No, I haven't the slightest clue how he pulled that shot off.

This is comming from another cheater filled game, but i think that if you mod cheat your character's level to 100 and further, the achievements like reaching rank 50 wont trigger. But again, im not 100% sure.

Does that mean that over 70% of the pc players have manipulated their rank? ;)

Much like Counter Strike: Global Offensive, many sales of GTA V on PC are, at this point, people circumventing bans. Not to mention the influx of PRC players over the past few months and the ever-finicky nature of achievements. Too - though I don't know the truth of this, so take it as figuring and not fact - it wouldn't surprise me if transferred characters didn't receive their achievements for levels when they moved it on over.

On the matter of finicky achievement unlocking, I've personally missed out on a few achievements I know I should have gotten (both in Online and SP), and as a classic example, here's a video from Achievement Hunter where one of their members unlocks a bunch of achievements he shouldn't have. Happens within the first two minutes.

It's sold so many damn copies that even if only a small percentage of owners even play the game, it still has more players than everything else.

As to the actual small percentage numbers, going by PS trophy data, it seems like many people will put a game in to check that it works, and just never get back to it. It's crazy how low the percentages are for trophies like finishing the very first level in games for example. I guess the backlog problem is real.

Yeah, according the achievements stats people buy this game, completes first two story missions, mess in freeworld with Franklin a bit; then goes online, mess in freemode a bit then close and never touch the game again.

When games go sale i guess people love buying games that they don't even play.

10 million people own this game according to steam spy, only 2 million player beats the campaign and 2.8 million player did something remarkable in online.

That feels kinda strange.

Yellow Dog with Cone

It's kind of sad that most new players barely touch the Single Player Story Mode, which still holds up even after 4 years.

On the other hand, I don't exactly blame them, compared to Online, Story Mode feels boring when you complete the storyline and all secondary missions and collectibles.

Unless you have access to PC mods, of course.

They could be getting RP from constantly losing the police. Not a lot, but it's something.

Really the same can be said for pretty much all GTA games really. Once you beat story mode and all the extra stuff, there is nothing to do but mess around.

But at least people played the campaign. This gta is treated more like cod, beat the first mission then straight into online.

I always play single player campaings even the game i play is fully mp oriented. I learn mechanics, map; controls then i go multiplayer with experience i gained from single player part. People who directly go GTA online usually struggle for weeks, but i don't also blame them. Rockstar promotes this game as a multiplayer game.

But at least 2 million steam player arsed to complete the campaign and 200k+ have reached %100 completion. I sometimes think i am being stupid to collect those letter scraps and spaceship parts then messing with glitchy stunt jumps. Good to know i am not alone, lol.

One thing i hate about story mode you can't store vehicles properly. You tried a stunt jump and vehicle exploded? Oh, it is gone for good; reload older save or buy the same vehicle and mod it from stratch. No mechanic to call a vehicle or like a joke 4 car garage capacity. Also I hate location of garages. Especially Franklin's garage is near grove street, how many times i accidentally irritate Ballas gang members and they turn my vehicle into a bullet sponge. Garages mods for pc are also kinda broken with recent updates.

This happens in online too, even a gang supposed to be friendly. i am doing a mission for Gerald; Family gang members starts shooting at me when i am near Gerald's house; lazy Rockstar programming.

Edit: I also hate getting thrown out of windshield in story mode, damn; what were they thinking when they pour too much realism which kills fun? Go fast, crash; die. Damn.

In my opinion, the biggest mistake of the storyline was having 3 characters. Given the short amount of missions, the should either focus on Michael and Trevor, or make Franklin as the sole main protagonist while witnessing the escalating conflict between Michael and Trevor unfold, and them make Franklin choose which one he would side with in the end.

Arrows to Athens

So apparently, entering hover mode is not the only thing that causes the Deluxo to lose most of its engine power and significantly reduce in its top speed. I've discovered that driving your Deluxo straight out from your facility also causes it. The mid-drive speed boost barely gives you any boost, and the top speed is significantly reduced. To fix this, you have to either switch sessions or request the car again. Stupid Rockstar.

Just a heads up for any daily Deluxo drivers out there, who most likely drive it as a cruiser, rather than as a weapon. If you want the car to retain its high engine power and impressive top speed, don't enter hover mode and don't drive it straight out from your facility. This thing flies. The mid-drive speed boost gives you a good boost, and the car hits top speed in a very short period of time. It's so satisfying to outrun most of the super cars in the game and leave them in the dust. Too bad it's a weaponized meme car now.

For those who didn't know, this is its true top speed when you don't "break" the car:

Lost my very first bunker sale today after accidentally hitting the Insurgent with ONE shot from the flak guns on my AA trailer. I know those guns are powerful but do they normally 1-shot an Insurgent, or was this a bug?

People tend to hate it when a tryhard they killed before scurries to their safe-space facility just to nuke them, but in my opinion, I consider it an honor.

Just think about it. A tryhard, assblasted by your act of destroying him and his Delxuo, believes you are worth $750K. He has spent all that cash without hesitation on a single person, all just because you ruined their griefing fun.

The next time you get obliterated, dont frown and complain, just laugh at the outstanding level of butthurt. Maybe even print the whiny message they sent you and frame it, you should cherish this special moment.

I would take and accept your suggestion if the tryhards weren't also money glitchers.

They don't grind cash, otherwise they wouldn't even be tryhards to begin with IMO.

That, or they just buy shark cards.

This is why I generally dislike people who glitch money.

I see it as no different than Kardashian trust fund brats who never had to work a day in their life. They have no concept of the value of time, money, or hard work. The people who dont glitch generally dont f*ck with other players doing work because they understand how much time and effort it takes to slave away for hours doing crates and resupplies. Glitchers dont understand that, nor do they have any respect for it.

I can always tell which friends are legit and which are not. The ones who arent are usually douchebag freeroam terrorists

I think you've forgotten that this is GTA Online and for many people that means unrelenting PvP violence.

While it makes sense that those with more money would have less restraint, its not an activity limited to them or predominated by the wealthy. If you got rid of all the glitchers, cheaters, modders, whatever - tonight - then freeroam wouldn't be any less violent or chaotic come tomorrow. The culture of the game has been one of contention since 2013.

Plus it honestly doesn't take that much money to kill people in this game. You can kill someone with a special carbine, a pistol, an assault shotgun, homing launcher, sticky bomb, etc. A passing drive by is all it really takes to destroy some supplies. One doesn't need an orbital cannon or anything close to that to ruin someone's day. Even armed vehicles like the Deluxo, Akula, Hunter, Oppressor, Stromberg and the Vigilante are commonplace now. They have been out for months and months at this point; old news. Anyone who really wanted one of these could have one. And those are the new vehicles! Don't forget about the Hydra or the Savage or the Lazer, the Buzzard, the Ruiner 2000, I can go on and on.

Everyone talks about how easy and quick it is to earn money while playing legit. Surely that money could've went to PvP, offensive measures and attack vehicles. It would also be easy and quick to recover from such expenses too. Even if one buys these vehicles for "defense" in freeroam work there's no guarantee that it will always ever be used peacefully now and forever.

In addition, there's so many ways to avoid insurance payments, to avoid getting kicked, to avoid all types of consequences in this game that it shouldn't be far-fetched to assume players have also found loopholes to attack each other on the cheap or without much cost involved.

Think of how many players you see in any given lobby. Think of how many random sessions there are and how often and how normal random conflict is. They can't all be wealthy glitchers with nothing to do. PvP is an activity enjoyed by GTA players in general. There's several legit players who are guilty of every cheap PvP tactic in the book, but will never glitch cash. Just as there's several wealthy players who don't care about PvP and would rather cruise around or help people. It's a very gray area.

The thing I don't understand is the judgments people make. How does one know how much money any random player has or how they attained it? You literally have no clue whether someone is rich, poor, a grinder, a glitcher or a casual with a boatload of sharkcards. Some people live to show off, some live the low-key barebones life. You never know where any given random is coming from and to be honest it doesn't really matter either. The culture of GTA Online has been established beyond any one individual or their play style.

TLDR: don't hate the player, hate the game.

It does not, not at all. On PC modded accounts will have adequate achievements, so it's more like stats are broken. Somehow I'm always seeing like my friends are unlocking their achievements like under the bridge or similar EVERY time they're loading their game.

These guns are capable of that, try it on NPCs. The only thing that does more damage than AA flak is.... an Orbital cannon!
