[Help] Open Game.dtz of VCS...

i'm sorry if i post in the wrong section, of a non-modding topic, my bad

 

but, this time, can someone help me 4 real? really i need the models inside of the PS2 Version (or psp whatever) of VCS... (i don't want to wait for the mobile version,) i see some russian do those things, and create tools, if someone can create a tool or find the original... or just convert DTZ in .img or something

 

Status:

Textures: Can be Exported

Models: Still find a way...

 

and no, DTZ Explorer doesn't extract models

 

or if someone can fix this

by converting the file, i just rename the format of the files...

Hi. Game.dtz isn't anything like an img, so renaming it doesn't work. It's a zlib/deflate compressed file that contains binary data for settings (handling, pedstats, collision ide and ipl etc) and textures (.tex) and models (.mdl) without headers. It's very difficult to extract data out of it. Some russians working on LCS pc edition cracked it years ago, but they haven't been kind enough to share some documentation, except on some russian forums

Russians,Russians,Russians... God, you people looks like you say they are Aliens with Hi-tech Tools... didn't an American or Guy from Other Country try to Unpack it? i just need the goddamn wheels, or the entire models...

Insulting us isn't going to make it work, Stories games just had a very limited research scene because they were console only, once the formats were cracked by the Russian modders, they released some tools (which are now difficult to find) and we expected them to release the documents for it, but, well, they didn't. Now it's years later, and we've seen that the Mobile ports contain access to these files much easier so most would rather wait for that instead. It sucks if you specifically want something from VCS, but unless you can get in contact with someone who worked on it back then, you're best off waiting, no one here is going to waste time researching that confusing and obstructing format that these games use.

OK, that's true, i'm an a**hole, but, For Help, i mean someone help me to find the tools, or unpack the goddamn file, i don't know what modders do, i'm just a Model Converter for another game that's it
