Femme Fatale

Long story short: It's a cash cow, R* is giving it more attention than it deserves, and they've abandoned SP because of it.

i'll accept a one time DLC payment, but to import everything that will be released online to offline

They basically released a whole new "game" with all the online contents, give us something (for a fee)

Well, if GTA Online "2" was meant to have exclusive content, was (like thatstupidbug said) a one time DLC payment and the price of the game wasn't that big, I'd pay for it. If I'd have to pay for the next GTAO like for a second game, or a massive DLC, I'd stay with SP and mods.

Small? As $1-2 and the game itself is free to download? Why not.

No. I payed for the game. Online access should be a free feature.

The forced pay-for-Online is one of many reasons why I stopped playing on consoles this gen and went PC.

Would I accept a fee ? for an online game that I wouldn't play even if you are willing to pay me lmao.

No, what the f*ck is wrong with people? Remember the times when $60 was enough for getting everything in the game?

Same here. I'm into SP only, I don't care for online MP in GTA, so I wouldn't even play it if we didn't have to pay for anything in V Online at all.

Once again, same here. I decided to get a PC for GTA to get the best out of it SP wise.

60? It used to be an average of 25 during the fifth and sixth gen. Then suddenly X360 and PS3 are released and everything cost a flat rate of 60. What were people paying an extra 35 for? Because most of the games of that gen and even this gen are released incomplete and buggy, with an unnecessary reliance on online updates that are of extreme size - 11GB in the case of GTA5 - and often cause more problems in the game than they fix topped with numerous costly extra content packs that often add nothing substantial to the game-play and which often times were/are created before a game's release. Thus turning what should be a 30 experience, into a 130 one. Pre-ordering is a stupid crash grab concept.

Anyone agrees with this statement?

If the game is free to download, but you need to pay $1,25/month to play it, would you agree?

Let's say: you play the game for 6 months and then you ge tired and stop playing it: you gave them $7,5 in total...

4 straight non stop years? $60

You don't play for a month? You don't pay for that month, obviously. Basically, subscription.

I don't like bills. Believe me I've got my $120 investment in this game back, that's my 360 and xbone copy. I'd give them more money for map expansion or sp dlc, but apparently they don't want it. Shark cards are not balanced with how much stuff costs, but the idea is fine. If they decided to make it pay to play, I'd consider it depending on cost and what I get for it. The cost mentioned above is pointless. Why stretch out $60 over 4yrs when a new game might come that blows it away. If they did this they better hope a similar or better game doesn't get released. I'm not talking watchdogs crappy online add on, not wildland either. Something new like benzie's project or other games we don't know of. Constant add ons that cost money is what I can't stand about Forza. I understand the single player people, but I play online with friends. It's why I didn't consider buying Mafia 3. A lot of the people I play with are hard core gamers, playing 4 or 5 different games a week, gta is 1 night. Convincing those people to pay to play? Won't work. So basically the gta addicts like me might pay, but the community would die down drastically.

Edit: Only other thing to mention is why GTA Online has been so popular. Anyone can go pick up a copy and play, 1 investment new or used. Throw another monthly fee on to that, nah. Player base would suffer.

Gnocchi Flip Flops

Think about it, we already pay to use PSN/Xbox Live. Paying for GTA Online? Um, if you want a single cent from me you better bring in consistent content monthly. Ain't no waiting. If you're gonna force me to pay then I'm gonna be more entitled than I am now because you're playing with my money. And if they're gonna force you to pay then they better have a solid pile of evidence to wipe an account or ban someone otherwise that can get messy.

Needless to say, this won't happen. Shark Cards won't go away either.

Subscription-based games are usually for a small crowd: iRacing, for example, is a subscription-based Racing simulator, and because of that it has an amazing community, I got your point. However, most people still play GTA Online only to mess around with friends. If I can't play that for free, I'll go back to GTA IV or find another game me and my friends enjoy.

No, not at all; never in any situation would this be a good idea. It would never catch on in the console market, and PC players would be alienated even further.

If another incarnation of GTA Online comes along, I hope it's sold separately so that Shark Cards don't have to be the primary form of monetization. I'd wager if it was sold at half the price of the single player GTA game, it would do well. Full price for an online exclusive game is just asking for criticism.

I actually have no problem with paying 60$ for GTA6 and then 15$ a month for a sub. I'm still paying that much for games I haven't played for months but am too lazy to unsubscribe to. If I ever log back onto Planetside 2 I'll be able to buy every helmet, camo, and weapon in the game (monthly subs get game $$$ each month).

Yes, I'd pay a minor subscription. But not what MMO's charge. Not more than $10.

No shark cards, no shortcuts for lazy people and little kids (also limits the amount of little kids playing), less cheaters and modders... excellent.

If it was cheap enough, and I felt GTAVI Online was worth it, I'd consider it. With a few obvious caveats.

1. I typically don't do online game subscriptions because the money adds up fast and most games can't hold my attention for more than a few months at the most before I get bored of them. (GTAV Online is the rare exception) So if you want me to sign up for a monthly fee, the game better have enough content to keep me interested (or have said content released regularly)

2. If you expect me to shell out money every month, I expect a balanced economy. No more overpriced clothing, car modifications, etc. or other obvious cash grabs. With millions of players regularly paying $10/month, let's say, it won't be necessary.

3. I expect cheaters to be dealt with firmly and quickly, but fairly.

$10/month is unrealistic, unless they constantly update the game with worth content, add dedicated servers around the world and ban as many cheaters as possible adding and updating a good anti-cheat software.

If not, i would not justify a fee that high.

Heh, pay extra as motivation for them to actually do their job ?

No.

There is a reason i never bought ps4

If it is such a huge problem for them to sell the game just at standard price with nothing on it(lol, like this is the case at all...jeezes) then i rather want them to up the price of the basic game.

Paying monthly, weekly or daily sh*t ain't my cup of tea at all in general.

They'd reaaaaaaally need to up their game if they want me to pay anything more than what I already paid the game.
