does it seem like the apc is the new griefer vehicle of choice?

does it seem like the apc is the new griefer vehicle of choice??

it seems like i've been attacked a few times while in ceo mode and mc while doing jobs by players in ghost org while they're in apc's (yes i know r* encourages players in ceo or mc's to attack their rivals).

No, the APC is a well balanced vehicle actually. Sure, it has good firepower and resistances, but it is slow, needs atleast 2 players to get operated efficently and can be countered easy.

The only thing at the current state of the game that can lock down a session is a good team of players with explosive snipers. When you have atleast 2 friends with explosive snipers, you can lock down the whole city by manning 3 specific positions in the town. Rotating ghost-org helps staying unnoticed and during those rotations, every player can refill his explosive rounds fast and without beeing noticed.

I met another player in his apc. Drove up to him to play around. We were apc buddies for a bit. Then he blows me up when I turn my back to him.

So yes, it is another griefer vehicle.

But as long as the guy is at least on the ground you can fight him. Better than jet kids running away from a fight as soon as you start shooting back.

No, but the Oppressor is what the Ruiner 2k wishes it could have been.

No, but the Oppressor is what the Ruiner 2k wishes it could have been.

The rockets of the oppressor are not ruiner rockets. They are in between homing launcher and ruiner rockets, but they are dodgeable. I did it myself a couple of times with the savage. But this is extremly hard to pull of, since the oppressor can spam them.

Those 2 items, the oppressor and the explosive rounds, where a pretty stupid idea of rockstar. Well, atleast in my opinion.

I will say it again: adding an OP-item to counter a OP-item is no balance.

Death Rains From Above

The APC is only a real threat if occupied by more than one player. Even then, it's still rather slow, so it's easy to avoid or deal with via stickies. By itself, it's even more vulnerable, as the driver has stop the vehicle and switch seats to use the Turret or SAM Battery.

The Oppressor, on the other hand, has effectively replaced jets as the Griefer's Vehicle of Choice. With the missile add-on equipped, any a**hole can glide around spamming missiles from a small, fast-moving, hard-to-hit bike. To top it off, destroying it brings a hefty $20,000 insurance bill. It's even worse when the a**hat using it to grief is in an MC, which allows them to return it to storage and call it in again instantly, without cooldown, to refill its missile ammo.

It's one of the most potent vehicles now, definitely. Faster than a tank, stronger, punishes people with 20K insurance and bad sport, plus it can drop mines. Oh, and its gun is more powerful. And it can float.

Aircraft are a threat to it ... Unless you smarten up and get out of it. Then you can just take anything down with an explosive sniper.

To make it worse, it can only be used properly if you have two people. So if you're against a group who already have the odds in their favour, and they're using it - well, you can't use the same vehicle to fight them.

It's between that and the Oppressor I guess. The Oppressor has pretty cheesy missiles, and can be brought back so quickly (and has that insurance on it).

In my opinion neither of them should be personal vehicles. Not in such a way that you can spawn them at your feet and have insurance on them anyway. I also think the APC should be usable solo, and the Oppressor (unpopular opinion here, probably) shouldn't really have had missiles. I mean, it's a personal jet, basically. I also have been opposed to being able to spawn the Buzzard near us for a long time.

Attach the AA trailer and have even more fun. But at this point it doesn't matter lol, you got a bike that fires rockets, an explosive sniper that will f*ck you up, tamps, and of course the typical jets. The only thing left that isnt griefing us are those choppers with pathetic armor. Maybe one day a certain chopper will come that can take numerous hits and everyone will complain about that, or a new jet to counter the new ground toys (lets face it, R* counters one crazy thing with another crazy thing XD), though you wont hear me complaining about choppers blowing me up. I'd say its about time given how much R* apparently doesn't like them. I for one welcome our chopper overlords....

In capable hands it may not be the best griefing vehicle, but I've seen more people griefing with the APC than the Oppressor. I see a lot of people try with the Oppressor, but most of them fall off too frequently to be really effective.

It seems so, now that jets are out of the picture what else is there to pick? Rocket Bike? You can crash and fall off it like on any other bile, plus no protection around. APC seems to be the best thing to use for such things, since it makes them feel safe.

If you've got a deathwish you can pick a helicopter lol, but it's not going to do much if they park the APC and get out (unless they're pretty bad).

If by "griefer vehicle of choice" you mean "wrecked by my Oppressor" then yes.

The APC is kind of a joke without a crew operating it, but with two people it can make you flee yea

On Xbox one it's the oppressor. Seen more of those than the APC.

The APC is pretty weak imo. I tested shooting at one with a jet and I blew it up in a single flyover while my friend wasn't able to aim up at my jet. The Oppressor is the best griefing vehicle now as its very difficult for a jet to shoot, they pay 20k if they blow it up, and you get infinite parachutes when you get on it and can parachute onto a building and snipe.

I haven't noticed too many on xb1 to be honest. I use mine for grinding and everyone seems to steer clear. Its not too Op. You gotta stop to fire unless you got company.

i did find one weak spot (it's front window) after my first encounter with a apc griefer, after hitting it with pretty much every weapon i have and after i got hit i was in front of the apc and i shot the driver through the front window with my (i think) combat mg.

You won't beat an APC with stickies. Even APC would kill the sticky bomber at least 10 times before the stickies could blow it up.

I don't think so, simply because it is so freaking slow.

I've only encountered 2 APC's and both of them were wrecking the lobby, killed me over and over. Both only had one occupant. Seems that driver to turret transition is pretty darn quick.

Seen plenty of the Oppressors flying around, haven't seen any killing people though. I suppose its because of the time/paywall to unlock the rockets.

Lol...really guys...totally destroying people with it.

The only thing that will kill me is an opressor off the radar.

With the rocket upgrade...sure it is unguided and sure i got windows, but if i just keep my distance and time my breaking people that have not equiped their rpg yet are just dead, and if they did, man they must be aiming pretty fast.

And ehm...homing missile...most situations the one trying that out is dead before he can fire the damn thing.

Also coming across this sh*t in freeroam wit a driver and gunner in it...man...unless you like dying your only option is to gtfo and when on foot go in passive or go off radar and kill yourself and then gtfo.

If the apc is balanced then cockstar is great at balancing gameplay in general.

It's not the same as other vehicles because either it has to stop to shoot, or needs 2 ppl to fire.. so it's of course not the same for the griefer as it doesn't actually increase his k/d ratio.. and other person is taking the credit of the kill.. i think in gunrunning there is no more 1 vehicle to grief like we had to endure with the hydra.. now everything can be used.. and that makes it less griefing in a twisted way haha.. maybe if i had to say 1 thing, but that it requires more precision and being close, it's the sniper explosive ammo.

Jets are still relevant.

The slew of people i killed with it can testify.

The armed opressor rockets can be dodged and any weaponized vehicle added with gunrunning can be quite easely divebombed in such a way that you are out of range of those weapons.

The only thing that kills jets is the explosive sniper...good luck with that though, since even then few jet pilots above my skill level can divebomb that and i just jump out my jet when the first round hits :p

I'd swear it takes more then one...did it have the extra armor ?

Use the griefer tool to counter... flick yer passive switch & even some timely assault & bailouts.

The APC isn't good for griefing because it's too slow. You can't repeatedly kill someone because they can get away too easily.

It's formidable in a fight, and if someone tries to stand their ground, then they're not going to have a good time of it. But that isn't griefing - that's fighting.

when i'm dealing with a griefer usually keep fighting him (or her) i can be stubborn.

Yes, sort of, but if they don't catch me off guard too bad, I've been getting in some good shots (return fire) lately and taking out the driver and/or gunner.
