It makes wonder though, if our characters work for the IAA wont we eventually have problem with Lester, Micheal and those FIB guys from story mode?

General consensus is that sometime after Heists came out, the online storyline appears to have moved past the single player storyline. It's not really consistent either way though.

 

Otherwise, I'd be more worried about coming into conflict with Trevor over our drug operations.

I like the idea of importing large amounts of Bolivian cocaine and flooding the state of San Andreas with it.

In exchange for the Cocaine we send weapons to support the rebel uprising in some far away Banana Republic.

This could add another dimension to

The Gun Running DLC.

The UL Paper contact guy is probably dead after the stand-off between FIB, IAA and Merryweather.

Karen's still alive, though.

I dont think he died, no in game cut scene or anything of that sort to confirm his death, but its possible

I thought Steve Hanes worked for the FIB though? The IAA was Hanes/FIB main adversary from story mode.

 

Exactly, with steve haines dead (the IAAs main pain in the ass during the time of story mode) and out of the way the IAA has free reign to do whatever they want to keep their funding going as strong as possible

But Hanes isn't dead! The events of GTA online happen a few months BEFORE the events of story mode. This is why Michael is not around, he is still retired.

 

So Hanes is still alive and working for the FIB, so we can't be working for him and the IAA when we do gunrunning. It doesn't make sense.

Canonically speaking, The Pacific Standard Job was the last thing the GTAO Protagonist did before the events of the main story.

Not sure where Lowriders takes place but I assume it's during or after GTAV cause Franklin and Lamar were always together before and now he's alone because Frank's moved up in the world.

 

After Finance and Felony they introduced SecuroServ and they've been kinda building up to post-GTAV-story without including any of the actual characters.

In Import/Export there's a mission where you extract some heisters who robbed the Union Depository dispite the fact that Michael, Trevor and Franklin were supposed to be the first ones.
