PHARKIN CHERKOV
As a screenwriter and film producer, I'd really love to see Rockstar push the limits in a GTA that was completely definitive, mixing the best things of the 3D and HD Universe and having a game with 160 main missions (with 80 of those missions being "Main Alternatives"). I'd love to see GTA VI just bear the name "Grand Theft Auto", no number on the end as a statement and to drive the idea that this GTA is not the final GTA, but it's the grandest theft auto game to ever be released.Online Co-Op with an epic intertwined Story with 4 Protagonists (4 people Co-Op) Co-op where 2-3 people play as either the three West Coast/South Mid-West protagonists (played by Actors), the Liberty State/North Mid-West protagonists or the Capitol City/Down South protagonists with the protagonists all representing a type of era of GTA over the years. Street gangster, Retired gangster, Outlaw gangster, Mafia gangster, Refugee gangster, White collar gangster, Wannabe gangster, Undercover Cop gangster, etc. Multiple Locations (San Andreas, Liberty State, The Mid-West, The Capitol and Down South) - Only hotbeds of crime Re-imagined GTA Universe (With 3D and HD Characters existing, retconned and re-imagined) Set in a definitive world that mixes 3D GTA and HD GTA into a new GTA which is not as arcade-like the 3D era/Online or toned down like the HD era but one that is grounded, realistic in terms of settings, story and completely epic.Co-Op Story with protagonist-type and multiple Cities-tied Story: You can play as the Street Criminal, the White Collar Criminal and the Organized Criminal trio Another three the Undercover Criminal, the Drug Cartel Criminal and the Psychotic Criminal Or play as the Refugee Criminal, Wannabe Criminal and Mafia criminal Each spawning in their own parts of the United States (West Coast/Mid-West, East Coast, Down South) We get to see a map of Rockstar's America, one where we can only travel to areas with strong hot beds of crime with a more interactive story (you can take your characters and the story to where you want to take it). Areas of crime include East Coast, West Coast, Vice City and the Mid-Western region as our three criminals could be in various Cities simultaneously until our protagonists meet up and are unlocked with a story that features actions during cutscenes that you can control. Let the drama unfold by your hand.I'd love to see each and every state and city done as real as possible. We don't need all of America, it would be mostly filler. Just Cities that feature different types of crime - Liberty City involves some Insiding Traders, Eastern-European Crime, the Mob and Political Crime as well as a focus on African-American/Puerto Rican street gangs. Vice City is more about drugs, even playing as a character who gets involved with a Drug Cartel and an Undercover Cop Criminal (who you don't know is one until a twist - with an alternative story where he hands in his badge which will involve an enriched buddy-system, the closer you are with your three Protagonists, the better the outcome story-wise), West Coast involves the Street Criminal, the White Collar Criminal and Organized Criminal who is now a freelance Henchmen due to the Mob's power dissolving from Las Venturas so much with those three your story involves Los Santos, Las Venturas, San Fierro and the Mid-West and a Mexican area, the other three involves Liberty State, Carcer City, Vice City and a South American area. The six protagonists are losers in the criminal world with hints of Jesse Pinkman-styled incompetency but ultimately, they are underdogs with huge character arcs (becoming head of the Vice City drug/club scene), an ending where you guys escape to Mexico or South America or end up running your areas of the US with another player online.Definitive Universe has 3D and HD characters re-created and re-made, retconned into a Universe with the focus entirely on you. Some characters may appear as Antagonists but I would love to see characters re-created like a more grounded Tommy Vercetti (now an old man) who runs parts of Vice City, Carl Johnson who is an infamous Music Producer with past criminal ties to Grove Street, Franklin, Michael and Trevor exist alongside these redone 3D Universe characters and a handsome, mute legendary getaway driver and street racer named "Mr. Speed" with "Drive" inspirations. Salvatore Leone was apart of the Gambetti family but was whacked, Huang Lee is a more contemporary Triad boss, Gay Tony still runs the Nightclub scene while Luis is working for "Bowden" a mysterious company, Ken Rosenberg is a criminal lawyer operating in the Mid-West with "shades" of Fargo-esque crime there. Roman is alive but Niko Bellic is dead as Roman hasn't seen him in a decade and Donald Love is revealed to have strong political ties and has become invisible and is apart of the 1% who control the World's wealth with the Rosenmeyer family, shades of the Rothstein/Big Banker/Illuminati who could go from supporting character to the final antagonist where your six Protagonists team up (Online/Co-Op) to take down. He reveals his Personal Fire Team with Niko Bellic the head of it along with Luis who are revealed to be apart of "Bowden", a socio-political criminal organization who are changing and moving the tide as Donald Love and his high-tier Capital City associates want to control the United States. The story allows you to execute criminals you feel that have it coming to them. You could work for Tommy until you are mysteriously set-upon or turned on in a drug deal for him - you could leave that and continue working for him or reveal who was behind it through an investigation - with Tommy who is revealed to be a psychopathic, paranoid, senile antagonist and the one behind the hit as he knows you might end up taking over his business leading to the story dynamic changing when YOU know that information and he doesn't (you could confront him asap or do a revenge best serve cold and betray him when he trusts you enough). A system like this could allow you to establish your own Drug Organization, White Collar national criminal organization or meet up with Carl as your Street Criminal character and him could split from the Families and form your own Street Criminal Organization that's more intelligent with interest in the Music industry and film industry (making a film about CJ and his exploits called "The Grove"). His brother Sweet has passed away and Cesar is in Prison. There could be a Prison storyline, one with the motto "Crime doesn't pay", I think it'd be really fresh if you went on a five-star massacre or if you ever got five-stars.I want to see the game explore the types of crimes that exist and who the real criminals are, along with tiers of criminal power with Street Gangs, Drug Cartels and Russian/Italian Mobs, Triads to the Unknown (Donald Love and his Capital City cronies being the highest-tier and battling Niko or sparing him out of respect could turn the game into something else.We need that spontaneous feel to evolve the GTA series and it's all about the enhancement of crime. And the first mission HAS to begin with you stealing a car.GTA is a commentary and parody of the American way and Capitalism. Where Capitalism is the final Boss or last evil personified by a re-imagined Donald Love, a media mogul who joined the Elite and is now pretty much controlling the President of the United States, pushing for more corporate control of things like healthcare, prisons, hospitals, law enforcement, cities, city halls, the air, h20 and cars etc.Bowmen Holdings, LLC is a shell company that is used to take over companies for Love. Donald's two henchmen/hitmen are Niko Bellic and Luis from GTA IV. They are the heads of Bowmen Security (Bowmen is Love's alias and his "Illuminati"-like moniker "Bow Men") and are pretty much a smaller yet more powerful version of Merryweather, using secrecy and toxins to assassinate former IAA spies and political figures who are against this Post-Truth, Lying Corporation of America. I think that would be an epic twist, to see both Niko and Luis in tactical gear coming after you and your Co-Op buddies. So, if there's 100 main Story missions with 60 "Alternative" Story missions this means that if you choose not to execute Niko, it would open a bunch of missions where Niko helps you to eliminate Donald Love and turns back to the light. The same with Luis. This re-imagined Donald Love is a cross between Donald Trump and Frank Underwood with his personality to the public, being a mask that is JFK-like, between his cannibalism and his rituals and sacrifices, making him the final boss would put the stamp on the map of games with awesome commentaries. Niko and Luis helping you to take him down would be beautiful as he is planning his big return after going missing since 2002 and hopes to launch a sympathy campaign to become President of the United States. After Niko killed Rascal and the Peg, he fell into a depression after the death of his girlfriend. He was eventually contacted with a Suicide Mission to kill a Politician for "Bowmen" for $20 million, after he succeeded he was brought into the company, he was given a name change and "Niko Bellic" was claimed dead as "Nicholas Bell" and "Louis Lopen" ended up as Love's Internal Security (Donald Love's hitman), along with Luis who was recruited after Ray's death.Franklin and Michael were also approached but didn't go through with it. They could end up helping you through out your campaign but I feel the story should ease on the fan service. The Niko twist is good enough. Maxxeine
GTA has always been about focusing on a specific group of characters that are all connected. By taking away this connection, the world feels isolated, too disconnected, and the player won't have a real goal to strive towards. A protagonist is needed. Not a generic Joe or Jane with no name that you select from a screen and then start completing missions (that's what GTA Online is for). You need someone to connect with, you need characters within that world to meet, you need missions that are engaging and encourage the player to keep progressing through the story. There's just too much choice. This isn't even counting the amount of time it would take to create a new universe, build characters, story concepts, decision branches, missions, settings, radio stations, etc. Everything that was built up and began with GTA IV would have to be done all over again. If a new universe was created (which is completely unnecessary), all cities would also have to be remade for a second or even third time. Liberty City would need a third remake (or fourth?). Los Santos would be remade yet again. North Yankton would need to be recreated, too. It's too much work to remain feasible when the entire groundwork for the HD Universe has already been laid out over a span of nearly ten years at this point. We don't need a new universe - we need the HD Universe to be fleshed out more with new storylines and new protagonists. Creating a fourth universe for the sake of combining everything into one game would require many, many years of development and planning. That's not counting whether or not the game would have a multiplayer mode, again adding on more time to the already large development cycle. You would also need a new engine, which takes many years to develop (even if it was adapted from RAGE, you still need to create engine upgrades and overhaul existing mechanics). This is an entirely different argument compared to the 3D vs HD Universe debate. Yes, 3D technically did more than HD. But 3D was limited, used RenderWare, and cities weren't as accurate as they could have been. This is why the HD Universe was created - to take advantage of new tech, a chance for Rockstar to do everything correctly and flesh things out properly over an extended period of time, evolving RAGE and the HD Universe as tech progressed and RAGE accommodated new hardware. A "4K Era" undoes everything. Meekail, Nico, j7n and 3 others
MojoGamer
Make it Las Ventura and Vice City combined map too. A Vice City with countryside will ruin my nostalgia to the original Vice City, so Las Ventura can have to countryside aspects. Also don't mention donald trump and politics, keep it in American but not lame. Edited July 6, 2017 by MojoGamer

A "4K Era" undoes everything. No, so I actually meant Actors portraying the Three Characters. So, originally I was thinking three players could play an Eastern, Central or Western campaign with THREE Story Protagonists each (9 in total) but felt that would be too much. So, instead could have three Protagonists controlled by three people or perhaps another three - each with their own story. Or if you have nine protagonists (all actors) then you could have nine players - playing co-op with an Eastern US, Central/South US or Western US campaign all leading to the Donald Love, Niko/Luis twist. This idea came from the bombardment and release of content which basically did everything with this Era. A new era which is just re-imagined GTA, recreating LC, VC, SA, LS, LV, SF, North Yankton etc would take years. So with the release being 2019, a 4K era with a re-imagined 3D/HD/4K compilation would be pretty awesome. They have the basis and skeletons for all the cities but connecting them to the Mainland now would be needed for a United States. Do you remember the original GTA where you had the map of the US? With LC, VC and SA being select-able? That's how I imagine it except upgraded with a more organic feel. Feeling like a constant stream where you can travel to City to City and Cities/States that are only hotbeds for criminal activity: Liberty State Liberty City New Alderney Carcer City The Mid-West North Yankton South Yankton Capitol City Vice City San Andreas Los Santos Las Venturas San Fierro Edited July 6, 2017 by PHARKIN CHERKOV Mister Pink
Racecarlock
How many universes do we need? Is there going to be a GTA crisis on infinite earths at some point? Christ on a bike, it was confusing enough with two. And hi, not everyone has 4k nor will indeed be able to afford it for years. What will they do? Rockstar's Greed
Like Sony and Microsoft would just stop supporting the original PS4/Xbone with only 6 years being out in 2019. Also Cockstar North wouldn't be able to do all that sh*t in just 6 years either. Edited July 31, 2017 by Rockstar's Greed
Good Hombre
No, I can't afford that sh*t and I'm sure most people can't either. Keep it the way it is. Edited July 31, 2017 by Good Hombre
